Silence took up much of the ride, I assumed it was because he wasn't very talkative. Eventually we got our destination, Kaer Morhen. We rode through the gates into the courtyard and was meet with Vessimer training Lambert.
I coughed choked a bit when I saw him standing there, well, alive.
"Ah Eskel, nice of you to finally join us. And who is this you brought with you"? He stared at me intently, with no emotions to go with his hard stare.
Eskel jumped off Scorpion from behind me. I slightly pouted to myself, he was a good back heater.
"Vessimer no worries, she's harmless, well mostly".
I followed suit and hopped off Scorpion. Which caused me to fall, quickly forgetting about my swollen ankle. Eskel quickly helped me up. With a little help, I made my way closer, "I'm Luna, I was lost and Eskel helped me. I would've probably died if he didn't". I smiled gently at Eskel, turning again to the two other Witcher's.
Lambert decided to finally chime in after witnessing the scene.
"So what your bringing home a random woman from the forest and expect us to greet her with open arms?" Vessimer put up his hand, "Lambert stop, I'm sure our guest would explain herself over some food, yes?".
I nodded eagerly, "Yes please I'm starving, I haven't had anything in hours". He lead the way towards the main gate into Kaer Morhen.
I couldn't help but to admire its beauty, the tall towers seemed to go on forever. Happy I was able to go at my own pace as I starred in awe, Eskel next to me on are walk up the to the main entrance. "It's so..wow". I was stunned, patches and big holes in the castle walls, the sheep that were tucked away on the side followed by the big door. My emotions were all over the place.
Never did I think I would ever live out a day in life of the Witcher's. Lambert of course made his way in first followed by Vessimer, and Eskel then myself.
Vessimer motioned to the far left corner to the doubled table, "Please take a seat I'll grab you drink and some food Luna". I smiled and made my way over to the table and sat down.
Sitting some bread and broth soup in front of me, Vessimer sat across from me and Eskel next to Vessimer . Lambert of course sat on the other side of Vessiner at the very corner.
If looks could kill, oh well.
I was starving and ate without any hesitation, or care of the eyes on me. Once I felt pretty full, still picking at my food here and there I looked over at the three as they sat with amused faces.
"Oh yeah, sorry. It's been a day", I smiled sheepishly.
Lambert shorted, while Vessimer gave a hearty laugh, "I see, but what happened to you? How did you get so far out here?".
So I leaned from my food and told Vessimer and Lambert the same story that I told Eskel.
"And that's when I meet up with Eskel and now I'm here".
Vessimer rubbed his beard, "That's a lot to think about, but in the meantime I'll have Eskel wrap you up and set up in one of the rooms. And I'll have a proper sorceress come and take a look at you, I have the perfect one in mind".
And with that Vessimer smiled and me, nodded at Eskel and patted Lambert as he left to do what he said.
"So that why it wouldn't stop vibrating, your from some other world, or at least tainted by magic", Lambert said snarky.
"Cmon Luna I'll help you to your room, ignore him all he does is talk shit".
I looked over at Lambert, "Oh I didn't even know he was talking", trying to get under his skin. Which worked from the look on his face. He quickly turned his back to me mumbling.
Eskel took me up the familiar circular stairs to the a room right below Geralts room. There was a brown bed directly in the corner along with a makeshift area with a 'tub' for bathing along with a small fireplace. "This room hasn't been used in a while, but I'm sure you'll stay warm, and I'll go get you more furs". I walked and looked around "Thank you this is more then enough".
"That's good, no one lived in this one for a while so no worries. Here let me help you wrap your bruises".
He told took ahold of my arm gently and sat me on the bed while he kneeled to my feet to wrap my ankle.
"Earlier you said you were familiar with our world, how so?" I starred down at him, " Oh I read about the monsters here that's all. The conjunction of the spheres travels word to mouth", I said nervously.
"Yeah right about that", he rubbed some ointment on the area and continued wrapping it.
"You know when I saw you I had half the mind to cut you down before I saw your face". I laughed, "Thanks I guess".
He finished quickly, "I didn't mean it in a bad way, just it threw me off guard".
"Well I'll leave you to get situated and bring you a change of clothes I'm sure we have some laying around somewhere". And with that he left, hope I didn't make him uncomfortable.
I sighed, and took a good look around the room. I had a pretty good idea of who Vessimer was going to contact, he did say sorceress.
But I'm the meantime, I'll see if I can get a bath going.
