I don't own any character mentioned in this story. Any of them, with the exception of Sardion, belongs to Bioware.

Darkness inside

Aerie watched the sun arise, its rays glowing in the dark blue sky of the dawn. When she saw these sort of things, it was always in the sky, flying, almost walking through the clouds.

She looked around, trying to forget those memories for now, for they would only bring pain to her already wounded heart.

She saw her leader, Sardion. The gentle half-elf was playing his harp, touching it softly, almost caressing it, producing a pleasing and melodic sound.

The Copper Coronet seemed quiet, no so crowded as always, which was surprising. Her new friends were quiet, too.

Most probably for what you said during our attack against the slavers . Thought the avariel bitterly, her face scolwing.

She walked to Sardion.

"I... I'm going out for a while" she stuttered.

The skald nodded and said "Would you like company, Aerie?"

She shooked her head, her beautiful golden-blonde hair moving according to her head's move. "I would prefer to go on my own, if... if you don't mind"

Sardion nodded again, and Aerie could swear that she had seen dissapointment in the bard's eyes. "We shall meet us here then" he said.

Aerie nodded and walked away, feeling somehow unwell in the tavern's inside.

Not that outside was better by any means. This were, after all, the slums.

Aerie sat down in a nearer spot in the street. After all there was no one to look at her oddly.

She started thinking about the attack against the slavers. She started thinking about how she reacted against them.

She remembered only one thing of the attack, though: Rage.

She tried hard to kill them. To kill the fiends of her past

But those had already gotten her. These slavers had nothing to do with them.

Now, she sobbed. She remembered something. She was praying to Baervan, so He could inmovilize the leader of the slavers. Then she started hitting him with her mace. Hard

After a while, the slaver was dead. And she was licking the mace' blood, a vicious smile crossing her smooth face.

She knowed it. She was thirsty of vengeance.

Nalia started helping her to regain her sanity, grabbing her by the arm, shaking it.

Instead, Aerie took her mace and tried to hit Nalia. Then Sardion stepped in.

He held her in his arms, and she felt warm, loved.

And then she cried ,knowing what she had done.

And now Aerie wonders if this darkness won't consume her.
