Mal ended up having an hours-long facetime talk with Evie and then took a shower and went to sleep early. The following day she woke up to Lonnie's voice telling Ben to hurry up so they could get to the airport before Jay's plane arrived. Ben's voice came near her room, assuring Lonnie that he just needed his wallet and they would be on their way; she jumped out of bed hoping to see him before they went for Jay and maybe asked them to take her with them. She felt like a Ben withdrawal after an entire day of not seeing the boy, so without thinking precisely what she was doing Mal opened the door and said hi to Ben. The boy almost fell from the surprise appearance of Mal in her pj's and a messy bun in front of him, asking him if she could join them.

"Oh, well Lonnie." and he couldn't even finish what he was saying because Lonnie was standing at the top of the stairs telling him to get down that second because they were going to be late. Ben looked at Mal and mouthed sorry and turned to make his way down, but Mal wanted to spend time with him and so she asked Lonnie if she could come.

"I can change really fast, give me three minutes. If I'm not downstairs, you guys go. Please?" Lonnie nodded, and Mal went into her room took her pj's off, put on her gray sweats and baggy emotional crewneck, found her phone and wallet, and made her way downstairs. Lonnie was looking at her phone with her hand on the doorknob, and Ben was standing next to her looking at the stairs. Ben smiled and told Lonnie Mal was there, and the girl nodded and opened the door telling her that she was impressed that she made it in exactly three minutes. Mal grabbed her sneakers at the door and put them on while walking out the door, thanking Lonnie for letting her come with them.

Lonnie nodded and told Ben that she was monitoring Jay's flight and she would be sitting in the back seat because she knew that he didn't like her pressuring him to go faster. Mal did a little happy dance in her mind because that meant that she would sit next to Ben; the drive to the airport was filled with stories of their adventures of the day before. Every time Lonnie started to make comments about Ben's driving Mal would ask about the day before or her plans with Jay, and Lonnie would get distracted, and Ben would relax. After Mal managed to defuse a particular tense moment, Ben took her hand in his and squeezed it.

Ben wanted to keep her hand in his, but he remembered what happened on Friday and was about to move it, but Mal entangled her fingers with his. The boy turned, and even though she was looking out the window, he could see a faint blush on her face that made him smile. They listened to music, and Ben noticed that Lonnie was silent and so he looked in the rearview mirror and saw her smiling at him and pointing to his hand. Finally, Ben reluctantly let go of Mal's hand at the airport and found a parking space as near as possible to the doors. Lonnie got out of the car the second the boy was done and told the couple that she would wait for Jay at his terminal, and went on her way, leaving them behind.

"Are we following her, or are we staying in the car?" Mal smiled at Lonnie's excitement and turned to see Ben smiling at her. The boy explained that they needed to go to the terminal because Lonnie always forgot where the car was in her excitement to meet Jay. They got out of the car, and Ben waited for Mal to make her way to his side before making their way towards the terminals in silence. Both of them wondered if it would be weird if they held hands, so neither made a move; soon enough though, they were talking about how Mal used to travel to New York to visit Evie, but in two months the girl was going to visit Mal.

"Don't worry about Evie though; we are going to book an Airbnb for the week she is staying." Ben assured her that he had no issue with Evie staying in the house and even told Mal that they could use the spare room if she wanted. "Really? I feel like that would be taking advantage of you. Honestly Ben, you keep helping me, and I don't want you to think that I don't appreciate it." Mal stopped and made a point to turn to look at Ben

"I know you do, and Mal you are helping me with the renovation. The living room and dining room are perfect. Trust me; you are doing more for me than I'm doing for you." Ben smiled, and Mal was happy to hear that he felt like she was doing a good job with the renovation. Mal decided that she would do her best to finish the projects as soon as possible so she could then focus on their relationship.

Lonnie screamed Jay's name and they turned in time to see them embraced; for a brief second Mal imagined her coming back from visiting Evie and Ben picking her up from the airport. After a couple of minutes, the couple broke their embrace a little teary eyed, and Jay made his way toward Ben and hugged the boy; they stayed in that position for a couple of minutes. Lonnie came to stand next to Mal, and when Jay let go of Ben, he gave Mal a quick hug and went to hug Lonnie again. Ben and Mal help Jay with his luggage, and they all make their way to Ben's car while the boy shared a few stories from the plane with themed.

They decided to go straight to the house, and Jay was impressed with the renovations done; he sat on the couch and told Ben about his plans to help with the kitchen project for some of his videos. Ben was confused and asked Mal if that wouldn't be an issue for her, and she told him that it wasn't a problem because collaborations were normal in this type of series. The boy then turned and told Jay that he didn't want him to spend his money, making his friend roll his eyes. Jay assured him that he would only put his half of the video just like Mal and that he wanted to do a few videos aside from the series with them just to show a little of the city as they did on his last visit.

Ben wasn't convinced, but Lonnie read a list of places she wanted to visit with Jay, and soon enough plans were being made. They decided to have brunch because they didn't have breakfast, and Mal suggested they go to one of her favorite places where they would be able to have a great time. Jay stood, saying he was ready to g,o and Lonnie asked Mal if she wanted to change because they didn't give her enough time to pick what she wanted to wear that morning. Mal was about to say yes when Ben's stomach growled, and then she decided that she was okay with what she was wearing, the group made their way to the car, and Mal sat in the front with Ben and was tempted to grab his hand.

They arrived at the place and made their way inside; the moment they were seated Rachel and Susie came to say hi to Mal telling the girl that their usual group was there, and then noticed the rest of the group. They said hi to Ben and Lonnie, and then they introduced themselves to Jay and after noticing his camera, they seemed to recognize him from his vlogs. Ben and Lonnie exchanged a look and a smile when the girls asked Jay and Mal to join them at least for a couple of minutes so the rest of the group could say hi. Mal stood up and said that she would say a quick hello, and Jay declined the invitation telling the girl that he was there with his friends. The girls seemed taken aback and told him that it would only take him a couple of minutes and that they were a great group to collab with; Lonnie and Ben could see that Jay was about to say something to Susie, so Lonnie cut him off telling him to go with Mal and say hi.

Jay looked annoyed but stood and went on with Mal while Ben and Lonnie stayed and decided to order the food for them and Jay; they decided against ordering for Mal incase she had a favorite plate. After the waitress went away, Jay came back and asked if they ordered for him and both nodded, telling him what they ordered making the boy smile. Mal came back a couple of minutes later and sat down, asking if they had ordered and Lonnie told her that they already did, but she would be calling the waitress for Mal to order and all of them noticed how Mal got a little sad and then apologize for taking so much time saying hi to her friends.

Lonnie signal the guys to leave them alone, so both boys excuse themselves to go to the bathroom. They were making their way to the bathroom when Jay pulled Ben into an open door of what the boy assumed was a closet, and before Ben could ask what was happening, Jay whispered that they were avoiding Mal's friends. Ben nodded and stood next to Jay against the now closed door of the closet to check if the girls were outside, and that's when they heard them say that it was clear that Miranda told them that Ben was off-limits because Mal liked him.

Both boys turned to look at each other and mouthed off limits and smiled, then pressed their ears harder against the door but didn't hear anything more. Jay made a signal for Ben to move away from the door, and slowly he started to open it and realized that the girls were gone, so they got out of the closet and went into the bathroom.

"So, you are off-limits, Ben. How do you feel about it?" Jay said with a smirk, and Ben mirrored his expression while looking around the bathroom, ensuring they were alone because the group of Mal's friends included boys.

"I like it. I thought I was until we went out with them, and then I was sure that I was very much within limits, but apparently, I was wrong." Jay laughed and asked his friend if he was going to do something about the information they heard, and Ben went on to explain why he felt weird about asking Mal out while she was living with him.

Jay assured him that it was understandable, but if Mal was making those comments to her friends, she didn't see the situation as Ben trying to take advantage of her, but as two people who feel a connection. "With that said, I'm not saying that you go out there and ask her out. However, I think you need to clarify that you are interested in her and getting to know her as more than friends."

Ben agreed and told him how they had held hands on their way to the airport, and Jay rolled his eyes at his friends, asking him how he thought he was within limits after that. Their phones beeped, and they saw that Lonnie had texted them telling them that Mal felt they were mad at her for saying hello to her friends because she realized that Lonnie and Ben felt like she ditched on Friday, and she felt horrible about that.

"So much drama, and people would say New York is full of it, but no. I'm here for less than two hours, and I feel like I'm in the middle of a soap opera" Ben rolled his eyes and told Jay that everything would make an excellent series for his videos, which he, of course, couldn't do. Jay shrugged and assured Ben that he would never consider doing something like that, but they should do something to make Mal feel better about the situation. "I know Lonnie and you did feel left out on Friday, so you shouldn't lie about your feelings either. Let's have a great day and move on."

They made their way back to the table, where Lonnie told Mal something that was making the girl smile. The moment the boys sat down, the waitress made her way to the table, bringing the food, and everyone started eating. Jay asked Mal how her plans for the renovation were going, and the girl began to talk about her plans when once again, Susie made her way to the table and asked Mal to join her table because they were doing a couple of tik toks and they wanted to include her. Ben, who was looking at her at that moment, focused on his plate and didn't say anything while Lonnie and Jay did the same; Susie seemed to notice and told the rest of the table that it would only take them a couple of minutes. This time Lonnie nodded and told Mal to go while calling the waitress to order another drink and asking the boys if they wanted something.

Mal told Susie to go on without her because she came here to enjoy time with her friends. Ben smiled, and Mal was happy to see it since she was worried that he thought she didn't enjoy spending time with him after what happened on Friday. Susie, not used to Mal declining doing content, went on to tell the group that if they wanted, they could join them in the background. Jay chuckled at the comment and assured Susie that they were ok without being in the tiktoks, making Lonnie slap him telling him to behave. Ben thanked Susie for the offer and said that Jay was tired from his flight, so she didn't need to pay any attention to him. Mal stood up and took her friend a couple of steps out of earshot from the group and, after a couple of minutes, went back and apologized to the group for the interruption.

They continued to eat, and the group shared stories about their lives, having a great time while Ben and Mal got to know more about each other. Mal's friend stopped by their table to say goodbye, and Susie apologized for the interruptions and "whispered" loudly due to the several Mimosas she drank that Ben was cute and she was happy for Mal. Mal's cheek turned red, and the girl wondered if she focus enough she could make the earth open beneath her and swallow her. Ben, who was also blushing, wasn't sure what to do, but Jay decided to help the couple and told Mal that they appreciated Susie's apology and how she tried to boost Ben's ego.

"I always tell him he is cute, but I fear he doesn't believe me." Jay said while looking at Ben, "You are pretty, Ben. I know that me standing near might make you feel less attractive cause I'm hot, but you are ok too." Ben threw a piece of his bread at Jay telling him to shut up while laughing. Jay turned to look at Lonnie, who was rolling her eyes at him and shaking her head. In the end, all of them laughed. Mal relaxed, and after asking for the check and paying, the group made their way back to the house so that Jay could take a nap. Still, as they made their way to the car, Ben and Mal let the couple walk in front of them, and the boy took the opportunity to tell Mal that she looked beautiful that day making her raise an eyebrow at the boy while modeling her sweats and asking him if he was kidding.

"Nope, you are beautiful."
