Welcome back to The Violet Riddle. Last time, the "false one" made his first move against our heroes, trying to crush Langdon with a piece of rubble as he translated some runes, just after the professor seemingly sensed him following them. So, what awaits as the group heads towards the Altar of Ice? Read on to discover...

(Our scene opens with Langdon and his fellows arriving at the point he determined earlier, only to find a seemingly solid wall.)

Ember: I don't mean to be rude, Professor Langdon, but are you sure that translation was right?

Langdon: I'm sure. Numerical runes are some of the most basic translations. I know I got those distances right!

(At this point, Langdon thinks about it, and then starts feeling the wall in front of them)

Flame: What are you doing?

Langdon: Feeling for a secret door, false wall, anything that could cover up where that crystal is hiding. (Looking to the dragons) Give me a hand here.

(Unsure of whether or not Langdon is brilliant or crazy, Spyro, Cynder, Ember, and Flame join him in tapping the wall. But with all of them distracted, the "false one" sneaks into the scene, extending a claw as he does, staring down Langdon.)

?: The risk you pose outweighs any benefit you may have, human.

(But before the "false one" can disembowel Langdon from behind, the professor seems to sense that someone is behind him. And the "false one" realizes that, slinking back into the shadows before Langdon can turn around and confront him. Needless to say, this action catches Spyro off guard)

Spyro: You okay, Professor Langdon?

Langdon: There's someone here.

Spyro: It could just be...

Langdon: It's not the frozen corpses! Last I checked one of them couldn't try to drop that rock on my head!

Spyro: Trust me, those things can come to life again. I actually encountered that last time I was here.

(As Spyro and Langdon argue, the "false one" sneaks up from behind Langdon again and prepares a bolt of black fire. Cynder, still knocking on the wall, catches the flicker of the dark fire out of the corner of her eye, and realizes it's aimed straight at Langdon)

Cynder: Professor Langdon!

(Catching Langdon's attention, Cynder tackles him to the ground just as the bolt of black fire is fired. Spyro sees it and ducks as the black fireball hits the wall behind them, causing everyone to duck from the explosion as the "false one" sneaks back into the shadows, realizing he's been spotted. As the dust and snow clear, everybody realizes what just happened)

Langdon: I told you someone was here, Spyro.

Spyro: Okay, you've convinced me.

Cynder: Are you okay, Professor Langdon?

Langdon: (Seeing something as the dust and snow clears) Doing really good actually. Look behind you!

(And at this point, we see exactly what Langdon is saying. Blowing open the wall revealed a violet crystal column with a small blue gem on a leather string perched on a piece of the rubble, exactly what they were looking for)

Spyro: Looks like whoever that was uncovered the Altar of Ice!

Cynder: (Taking up the gem necklace.) That's two down, seven to go.

Ember: So, where to next?

Langdon: If I remember the riddle correctly, we're going for the Altar of Electricity next.

Spyro: Leave this to me then.

(With that, Spyro charges up and lets loose a bolt of lightning into the column, and just as before, a purple light shoots out the top and flies off. Wasting no time, the group takes off, with Cynder carrying Langdon. Just as they're in the air, the "false one" materializes from the darkness and follows them, as our tale ends for today)

And that looks like a good spot to end for today. So, two Altars are down, and next up is the Altar of Electricity. But it looks like the "false one" has started to slip up, as now just about everyone knows he's here. And it looks like he's going to get more hostile. But to what extremes will he go? Tune in next time to start finding out! Same time... same channel!
