Welcome back to The Violet Riddle. Last time, our heroes worked their way up through the Floating Islands, trying to find the Altar of Wind. All the while trying to figure out the secrets of this place, stopping in front of two doors with serpentine dragon-like figures on them, realizing the beam went behind them. So, what waits beyond the doors? Read on to discover...

(Our story resumes just as we left it, with the strange doors opening, revealing our heroes standing there, admittedly a little let down by what they see)

Flame: Seriously? We come all this way, and there's nothing back here?

Langdon: Chances are these doors may be ruins from whatever civilization was here before.

Spyro: And something is back here, Flame. The Altar of Wind. You know what to look for everyone. Let's get on it.

(But just as they get on looking for their target, Cynder spots something on the horizon, and it's not good)

Cynder: Heads up, we've got company!

(Just as the search is about to get started, the "false one" arrives and swoops in, breathing dark fire across the scene, which everyone moves to avoid. As Langdon hits the floor, he spots something out of the corner of his eye, grabbing it before their adversary can find anything.)

?: Now then, if you are sufficiently witless, I suggest you lead me directly to the Altar of Wind.

Spyro: If you think we're going to lead you there, you're crazier than we thought!

?: Very well then. Prepare to meet your end.

(Just as the villain is about to let his dark fire loose, Langdon steps forward)

Langdon: Wait! I know where the Altar is.

Ember: Professor, what are you doing?!

?: Speak, human. Where in these islands is the Altar?

Langdon: It's not here.

?: What?

Langdon: The beam went straight past here. I saw the remnant of it go into the volcano below us.

?: What?

Langdon: Wherever the Altar was fell into the volcano as Malefor was defeated.

?: How do I kniw you're not lying to me, human?

Langdon: I saw the beam myself. And Cynder can vouch for me.

Cynder: I can?

(At this point, Cynder notices something odd, Langdon's fist is clenched, and she sees what he's doing.)

Cynder: Oh yeah! Of course I can! It went down miles ago!

(The "false one" appears to buy it, and starts laughing)

?: Thank you for giving me the information I require.A decision you will live to regret.

Langdon: Anything to ensure our lives are spared... wait, what was your name again?

Sorcerer: My name is beneath your worth to speak. I am simply the Sorcerer that shall rule all, thanks to you, fools!

(And with that, the Sorcerer descends into the volcano, laughing and coughing all the way)

Spyro: Professor, are you crazy?!

(At this point, Langdon unclenches his fist, revealing he has found the gem necklace they sought. He's lied to the Sorcerer, and Cynder saw through it)

Langdon: I really thought I was for a second.

Spyro: (To Cynder) And you...?

Cynder: I saw the clenched fist and realized he was hiding the thing.

Spyro: Then... where's the Altar?

Langdon: Just behind the doors, surprisingly. How this Sorcerer didnt notice, I have no idea.

(And sure enough, just as Langdon said, right behind the doors, tucked into the frame, is the familiar violet gem.)

Spyro: Then what're we waiting for? We need to find the next Altar! Which element was next again?

Cynder: Shadow, if I recall. Leave this one to me.

(With that, Cynder summons forth her Shadow element, through her shadow itself, to touch the crystal. And as it does, the violet gem reacts, shooting out the violet beam, heading off towards its destination. But as our heroes jet off after it, the Sorcerer emerges from the volcano, realizing he's been tricked)

Sorcerer: The human continues to prove a thorn in my side. For deceiving me, he must pay...

(And as the Sorcerer takes off after them, our tale ends for today.)

And that looks like a good place to end for now. So, the villain is named at last. And its the Sorcerer. That certainly explains the coughing fits at least. So, next up is Shadow. So where is this Altar located? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
