Author's Note: Hey there, we are back with the second part of the chapter. Once again I have to thank Glazier Blue for this as she did an amazing job on the chapter. Things will get intense but I won't take up much time. So, enjoy.

Chapter 11: Connected Part 2

"I don't like this, Raph, he's shaking!" Mikey's tone laced with fear as he looked over his eldest brother, his hands still held firmly around his sleeping father's form.

"It's ok... H-He can take it!" Raph reassured though it sounded more like he was trying to convince himself. Leo had stopped responding to them some time ago, so he could be making progress. A few times the vale between the spirit plane and reality had been broken. Leo had called out Splinter's name several times. Each sounding more desperate than the last. They both just wanted to shake Leo out of it, but the thought of losing their only chance of finding their father and brother held them both in place with wavering patience. As time passed Leo's shakes were losing more control, "Two more minutes. Come on Leo, you can do it!" Raph held his breath.

A few times Splinter had jerked on the cot but not awoken. Still Mikey held onto the onions as though his life depended on it, as the two exchanged a look as they wondered what should they do next?

A sudden gasp from the blue clad turtle had them both look up. "DONNIE!" He yelled so loud the two fell backwards in surprise. Donnie? What about Donnie!? He had gone to the Spirit plane to find Splinter. But the way Leo had said his name didn't indicate anything good. It was a very unsettling display to watch and now they were both worried what they were going to discover.

Leo suddenly jumped as though he had received an electric shock, throwing him backwards and landing him on his shell. Mikey and Raph were at his side in an instant.

"Leo, buddy! Come on wake up!" Raph scooped his big brothers head from the floor until he came too. Their father still remained sleeping, leaving them free to focus on their brother. It wasn't long before his breathing began to ease, but when Leo's eyes opened, they reflected so much sorrow, no questions needed to be asked about their missing brother.

"No!" Mikey yelled knowing perfectly well what that look meant. "He's not dead! Don't say it, Leo. Just don't!"

"Mikey I -" From the floor Leo tried to comfort his brother, but the two pulled him to his feet before more could be said.

"Your wrong!" Mikey declared in absolute denial. "Donnie's in trouble, but he's ok. Whatever you think you saw, your wrong!"

"I didn't see it... I couldn't see anything. But I could feel it, there was so much pain around me... but I... I heard it! I heard Donnie cry out and then I heard..."Leo trailed off looking like he was about to be sick. He couldn't bring himself to go into detail. Instead, he just skipped to the end. "Then there was nothing!"

"But you were connected to Sensei so how could you sense Donnie?"

"Because he was there... He heard Donnie too." Leo closed his eye remembering the feeling environment he now knew his father was trapped in. tangled up in a sharp wire like web with long pins stabbing him all over his body. Their father was a prisoner in a horrific environment... Leo inwardly gasped remembering his orders to kill him! He knew Splinter was sacrificing himself to save them, to save Donnie, but Donnie may already be dead! How could he kill his own father? How could he tell his brothers his last order?

Raph violently shook his head in denial, "I never thought I would say this, but I agree with Mikey... Donnie has to be ok... Y-You could be getting tricked. Sensei always said the rules of the spirit plane were not as straight forward to what is out here and we all know it's not sensei who is in control right now." But he couldn't hide the desperation in his voice.

Leo nodded in agreement, but he wasn't convinced. They hadn't heard that awful sickening crack. They hadn't heard the cry from their most peaceful brother. It sounded so gut wrenching... If Donnie wasn't dead, he was hurt badly. Maybe dying. But the silence that followed could only mean that his brother must no longer feel anything, but how could he say that to his to remaining brothers? "Sensei forced me out before I could find out for sure."

"What? Why? Was it really him?" Raph looked skeptical.

"Yeah, I'm sure, and he told me who was behind this." He looked up at his two brothers replacing the sorrow with anger. "Thinking about it now, it was always obvious... Explains everything about what happened to Master Splinter, only... I thought he was dead!" Leo said as the final peace's fell into place.

"Great. Who?" The red clad brother demanded. Finally, he was going to have a name to blame for all that had happened and a face to aim his punches at. Why had Leo not relayed this information upon returning to the real world right away? Why did he look so uneasy? Wait? Who was powerful enough to take control of Master Splinter? Who did they think was dead? Oh shell! That's when he knew he wasn't going to like this.

"It's the Rat King! He's still alive. He took Donnie... and he has control of Sensei somehow," Leo finally relayed Splinter's warning. He was expecting his red clad brother to lash out at this realization, but to both their surprise, it was Mikey who freaked first!

"GAH!" Donnie cried again as he was dragged up from the ground and his shell slammed against the sewer wall. Groaning Donnie slid down until his lower body became submerged in the murky sewer water, head raising and eyes going wide as saucers upon seeing the Rat King before him. As his heart raced, he didn't know if he was having a heart attack or if it was just broken at freedom been snatched away.

"You killed one of my rats…that will not go unpunished!" The bandaged male lifted his right leg up and thrusted his foot forward, only to hit solid brick as Donatello's reflexes kicked in. Mustering up what momentum he had he jumped to the side to avoid the kick. Almost immediately the turtle got to his feet, intending to sprint out of there, anything to put distance between himself and his captor.

The Rat King froze for a moment, searching for his captive audience. He wanted Splinter too to see him kill the young mutant, but instantly he felt him pull away, blocking himself off. He guessed he was afraid to watch his son die, but he wasn't even going to beg him to stop, to spare him... or even make it quick? "Looks like your father doesn't care about you after all." He laughed cruelly before continuing his assault.

"Gyah!" The back of Don's shell was seized, stopping any attempts at escape as the turtle's feet flung forward due to momentum, resulting in him landing flat on his shell. Briefly stunned, both of the turtle's eyes widened upon seeing RK rearing his left hand back before bringing it down. Reacting quickly Donnie raised and crossed his arms together, blocking the blow only to grunt as pain flared through his bones. Cringing Donnie managed to see RK's other hand rearing back for another blow. Not wanting to endure another blow, the turtle rolled out of the way, putting as much distance between them as possible.

RK growled but inwardly he was thrilled. This is what he had wanted from the teen upon taking him. To know his skills. His will. This fight would prove once and for all who was stronger. Who was superior, who was the King! Quickly he rushed the turtle, not giving him a chance to make a break for it but this time he would be cautious as he didn't want to underestimate the terrapin skills. It became quickly obvious that his style was dominated by a defensive type. Something that could easily be overcome.

RK then delivered a straight punch, which was dodged with a simple duck. He followed up by bringing his right knee up, which Donnie brought his hands up to block, which he followed by striking the bandaged human's belly with his elbow.

"Ugh!" RK stumbled back surprised. That was a little unexpected. He also didn't see the leg sweep. The bigger fighter had both legs swept out from under him, sending him splashing, submerged into the sewer water.

Donnie backed up until his shell hit the wall, waiting with bated breath for the consequences. He didn't expect to be able to land not one, but two strikes on his captor. He hadn't thought, just reacted, but now he was thinking, and it shocked him. Run…Just Run you idiot! Donatello in-a-voice screamed but his legs were delayed before obeying. An action he would pay dearly for. Just as he turned to sprint - "AH!"

A hand had immediately reached out and grasp the ankle that was still planted. Falling straight onto his plastron, Donatello's air was knocked out of him. Water splashed as RK emerged, slowly almost like a swamp monster from a horror movie. The most noticeable feature, besides the soaked bandages, was a furious and yet, a lustful scowl on his face.

"My turn," he spoke in a "no more playing around" tone. Enough to send chills down the turtle's shell. With that he gripped the turtle's leg with both hands before using all his strength and swinging Don into the nearby wall, like a baseball bat.

"UGH!" Donnie cried as his shell made impact and unceremoniously crumbling as he was released. He barely had time to process this as the back of his shell was seized once more, hoisting him up to his knees. He didn't even get a moment to blink before seeing a fist connecting to the side of his face. "OOF!"

Head snapping, the force should have sent him to the floor, but he was still being held up. Donnie was then pressed against the wall as that same fist started to pound away right in his plastron. What little air he had was knocked out of him and replaced with only burning pain flooded his belly, as his air waves were slowly being cut off.

After what felt like a dozen punches, RK relents knowing he wasn't going to get any more resistance. He held the turtle up easily with one hand, showing his superior strength. Frowning as he looked carefully over his captive, watching him trying to breath. "You didn't completely disappoint purple." He sneered. "But I expected a bit more with a master like yours…He must he very ashamed of you. He doesn't even care enough to beg for you. You are unworthy…"

"You're a liar! Go to hell!" Donnie spat blood as he spoke.

"Where do you think I came from mutant!'?"

Donnie tried one last ditch effort to free himself by swinging his right arm…only to be easily caught and twisted back. Silence filled the sewer as RK considered what to do with him.

"I knew I would beat you, but I had hopes for a bigger challenge... I could just snap your neck right here, but instead I will deal with you in a way that is fitting to someone who is unworthy… But first you must be punished for killing my rat." RK then released the turtle watching him fall to the ground. Though he couldn't stand, Donnie's still planted his arms down, trying to push himself up unsuccessfully. His eyes locked with his, reflecting his absolute loathing. He didn't want to show any more fear... but the fixed eye contact made him miss the deliberate movement of RK foot violently stamping down hard onto his right arm.

He heard the Crunch before he felt it. By the time he looked down, he did feel it.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" Donatello's head reared back and let out a deafening scream that echoed for miles as in an instant his arm is broken. The turtle's eyes rolled into the back of his head and for a brief moment blacked out.

"NO!"

"DONNIE!"

Ignoring the turtles agony, Rat King looked up suddenly, confused as he heard a voice call out the turtles name, only... it wasn't just Splinter.

"Mikey calm down please! Come back here!" Leo following the orange clad turtle around the lair. Raph wasn't far behind, both perplexed at the display of emotion their youngest was now showing. The teen practically ran out of the infirmary like he was being chased! He didn't want to stay in the infirmary, as he wanted to be as far away from any link to the Rat King as possible, even if the that link was his father.

"No! You don't understand! Not him! It can't be him! Not with Donnie. Oh god not him," Mikey snapped making a bee line for his room, Raph had other ideas. Taking a short cut around the couch, cutting in front of his little brother, trying to grab him by the arm, just to stop him from leaving.

"Mikey its ok!" Raph went to say but uncharacteristically Mikey had violently yanked himself free before flinching away from both his brothers just for touching him. "Mikey?" This shocked both Raph and Leo. Never before had they seen Mikey so genuinely frightened! But the jump seemed to have snapped Mikey back into reality. He had at least stopped trying to run from them. Just the mention of the Rat King had put the young turtle in mindless panicked state. He wrapped his arms around himself as though trying to protect himself from any unseen attackers in the room.

The two older brothers looked at one another worriedly before approaching again. Leo reached up to take his little brothers shoulder, slowly this time to show he was not a threat. "You've never talked about what happened when the Rat King took you Mikey?" He hated that he was having to force Mikey to face something that was clearly a trauma, but it was now Donnie and Splinter's life that was at stake. He wouldn't push for details, but he at least had to tell them what to expect! The look in his little brothers eyes broke his heart, at the same time made him scared of what he was going to say.

"He... He's a monster... He acts mad but he isn't! He knows what he is doing." Mikey finally said in a small voice not able to look at them. "He feeds on fear and takes pleasure in it. He likes to see the other suffer, like it makes him feel powerful... Should have recognized him from the sadistic way he was making sensei fight us..." Mikey looked his two brothers with a look that they had never seen before. "It's like he can see into your head and know exactly what scares you the most. It's not enough to kill you, he has to break you first. If he really took Donnie, he wouldn't be quick. He's going to make him suffer and kill him only in a way he knows Donnie would fear the most."

Both Leo and Raph didn't doubt this, especially after the way their father had attacked them in such personal ways. They swallowed nervously as even more panic filled the room, not just because they knew who was behind this now, but because they were still no closer to knowing how to find him.

"Hey what's that?" Raph suddenly pointed towards the infirmary. It was fast but something had just entered the room of their sleeping father.

A/N: Hope you like. Intense right? Donnie is once more in The Rat King's hands and now has a huge disadvantage. Meanwhile, Leo returned back to the normal world and informed his brothers of RK, and now Mikey is freaking. Well he did get an up close and personal experience with him, so no wonder he's freaked. Things are really getting heated up and there is still more to come. I hope to hear from you all on what you think. We'll try no to take long with the next chapter. Till next time.
