Welcome back to The Violet Riddle. Last time, just as Spyro expected, the Atlawa who captured himself and Langdon brought them straight to Kane. Kane, now knowing the entire situation, let them go and brought them to the precipice of where the Altar of Earth is, leaving Spyro and Langdon to cross the bridge to the island themselves. So what awaits as they approach the final Altar? Read on to discover...

(Our scene opens up on the bridge where we left everything, with Spyro and Langdon trying to cross the treacherous chasm. But as we do, we focus on Langdon, alone with his thoughts as he crosses the bridge)

Langdon: (In his mind) How the hell do I get myself into these situations?! I just came here to do research, figuring I'd be in and out of archives most of the time, and now I'm doing this. (Looks ahead at Spyro) I've heard of people doing crazy things for love, but this is just nuts. But who am I to question that? The heart wants what the heart wants after all.

(In that moment, Spyro turns back to Langdon)

Spyro: You doing okay, Professor?

Langdon: (Snapping back to reality) Well, I haven't fallen into the abyss. So I suppose that's pretty good.

(But of course, just as Langdon says anything, the bridge plank he's on gives way. But thankfully Langdon is able to grab the rope holding up the bridge as Spyro rushes back to aid him. Within moments of the plank giving way, Spyro has Langdon back up and relatively stable)

Spyro: You okay?

Langdon: Been better.

Spyro: I could guess.

Langdon: But we have to keep moving.

Spyro: Huh. I was just about to say the same thing.

(With that, Spyro and Langdon get back to moving, and before long are on the opposite side of the bridge, where Spyro and Langdon begin looking for the Altar of Earth)

Langdon: So this is it. The last Altar is here. Then after this, we go back to where we started.

Spyro: At least if we want to see Cynder alive, that is.

Langdon: We'll save her, I swear it.

Spyro: If this ends up failing, I'll never be able to forgive myself.

Langdon: Let's focus on the issue at hand here. We need to find that Altar.

Spyro: Agreed.

(And with that, the two get to work, turning over every stone to find the Altar of Earth, and after a few moments, Langdon comments on the size of the stones)

Langdon: Wonder what used to be here.

Spyro: A giant stone golem trying to crush you.

Langdon: What?

Spyro: Trust me. This happened to me last time I came here.

Langdon: I'm not even going to ask any further.

Spyro: Smart idea. It's just as weird as it sounds.

(After a few more minutes of searching, Langdon pulls back some vines and reveals a familiar violet gem)

Langdon: I've got it!

(With that, Spyro rushes over and sees the violet gem, with a green gem on a leather strap upon it, which he immediately picks up, placing it with the other six they managed to collect)

Spyro: Now we've just got to go find Cynder.

Langdon: The Sorcerer said we had to bring these gems "back to where this all started". Does that mean what I think it means?

Spyro: It should. Back to Warfang. Back to where the Guardians were murdered.

Langdon: Then I suppose we don't have much choice. We need to get moving.

Spyro: Agreed. Hang on tight.

(With that, Spyro takes flight and circles around in order to pick up Langdon. and as the two fly off back towards Warfang, back to where this all began, our tale ends for today)

And that looks like a good place to wrap up for now. As of now, there are only 3 chapters until this story wraps up. So, all the necklaces have been recovered, and it's time to go rescue Cynder from the Sorcerer's clutches. But will he keep his end of the bargain and return her alive? Or will the Sorcerer backstab everybody and try to claim the power he believes was his from the start? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
