Lily knew she shouldn't have gotten such a sugary treat after the cold pizza and a run, but saner heads failed. Leah looked over at Lily's concoction in disgust and a small bit of awe. It as huge, sugary, frozen, and covered in caramel goodness in Lyly's mind.

Leah felt it was a sugar crash and stomach ache waiting to happen.

Either way, both girls were happy for the moment. They needed to figure out what they wanted to do for the remainder of the weekend. Saturday was already halfway over, but the day was young!

"We could go catch a movie, then do girly stuff at home? I did buy all these different facemasks and nail polish. Just because you run around with a bunch of stupid wolfmen doesn't mean you have to become one. You are a lady, regardless of that."

"Lily, I love you but I am absolutely not painting my nails whatever color you think would be perfect for them."

"Please! Think of it this way! We can see if your nail polish transfers into your form! Or, we could dye your hair! That could be another experiment!"

"Fine, yes to nails but no to the hair dye. Bad enough I had to cut it this short just to keep it manageable while I'm transformed."

With that concession, Lily through her firsts into the air in victory. She may not be the biggest girly girl out there, but she did enjoy getting Leah to loosen up and relax. If taking on a persona of someone who enjoys things a bit more than she normally would helps to achieve that, then Lily was happy.

Lily's phone went off at that point, surprising her. Leah was the only one to normally text her throughout the day, so she was confused who needed her. Looking down at her phone, she realized it was from…

An unknown number?

She decided to read the text, thinking it may have been from someone at school needing help. Who would ever want academic help from her, Lily wasn't sure? But flattered all the same.

Unknown number- "Hey, stay away from Seattle this weekend and the foreseeable future. Weird shit is going on and the last thing we want is you getting hurt."

Well, that was off-putting and ominous. Lily showed Leah the message, causing Leah's face to scrunch up in confusion.

"Who do you think it is? I don't recognize the area code."

"I'm not sure. What's been happening in Seattle?"

"Sam thinks its vampires, but I think he's biased. A bunch of people have gone missing lately without any evidence. It's been all over the news. Don't you pay attention? Anyways, text mystery person back! Find out who it is!"

Lily- "Hey, thanks for the warning all knowing one. Who is this?"

Unknown- "now that would be giving up the game too quickly. Besides, its been forever sense I've had the upper hand in anything."

Lily- "That's not weird at all. Can I at least have a name or any information regarding who you are? Also, what's your issue with Seattle? And how did you get this number?"

Unknown- "Nope, no names. You can call me mr. handsome if you like. Seriously though, keep you and your friends away from Seattle. Its not safe right now, and I don't know how in the know you are yet."

Unknown- "Also, keep the flowers. He worked hard getting the balls to give them to you."

What the fuck? Who is this?

Lily- "So you didn't give me the flowers?"

Mr. H- "Nope, sorry doll. Wasn't me. BUT you should still keep them. Also, thanks for the name change in your phone 😉 "

Lily- "Sir or Madam, you are increasingly freaking me out. I kindly ask you to stop."

Mr. H- "Nah, you like it. You're too curious for your own good. Here, I'll give you another tip. Go play with the Cullens to help your skills. They're know more than the wolves at this point."

Lily- "Ok, I'm gonna go. This has entirely freaked me out."

Mr. H- "Don't lie, your curiosity is already killing you. Ttyl doll"

Leah was losing her shit by this point. Lily was trying to gather her thoughts. This random person wanted her to spend time with the Cullens. They knew she had been trying to figure herself out ability wise. They somehow knew she was going to offer to go to Seattle with Leah. Fuck this mystery person even knew about the pack!

The girls tried to trace the number or at least the area code, but were only able to figure out the number was from Dallas. There was no other information available to them at this point.

"I don't think we should go straight to the Cullens. I've… well not exactly been avoiding them but not gone out of my way to spend time with them either… If I show up on their doorstep claiming someone randomly messaged me, I would no doubt be eaten alive or at the very least laughed at."

"Lily, I can't exactly hide this from Sam. The second I shift he will know everything!"

Lily ended up slumping down in her chair trying to think things through. She didn't really have that many options available to her at the moment. She needed more practice with what she could do while devising a way to help see what else she could do. The pack had tried everything they could think of, but at the end of the day Lily wasn't a member. She was respected, and the elders seemed to hold her in great esteem. But that didn't help answer any of her questions.

"Leah, I don't have much of a choice, here do I?"

Leah looked over at her closest friend, her heart breaking for her. But Lily didn't need sympathy. She needed facts and anwers.

"Alright, enough moping. Do you want another monstrosity to go? Or food? I'm gonna have you drop me off at your house so I can pick up my mom's car and talk to Sam. Better to head him off than let him jump to conclusions. I don't want to seem like I'm abandoning you to the vamps, but they may be your best bet. Besides, they can't harm a hair on your head without breaking the treaty. So, vengeance is mine finally if you do get hurt. Try not to, but know I'll get them back for you."

"Leah, you just know how to make a girl feel safe and fuzzy don't you? Yes, can you grab me a sandwich and a refill from the line? I'm going to message Esme to let her know I'll be coming over if its alright with her."

"You're so polite. You never both asking to come over to mine anymore."

"Leah, you spend more time at my house or in the woods than anything else these days!" Lily laughed as she said that. Leah just made a face at Lily while flipping her off in the process before getting the refills and snacks for the road.

Lily dropped Leah off at her house before she received an answer from Esme.

Esme C- "Sure dear! You're always welcome here, despite what one of my children may think. They aren't the adult in the house. If they were, they would have acted like it."

Lily- "Thank you! Do you need me to bring anything?"

Esme C- "Actually, if you could bring some of your notes you girls have been working on, we can start from there!"

Lily- "Sure thing! Be there in less than an hour.

The drive to the Cullen's beautiful house seemed to get easier and less threatening with each trip she made there. The sun had been shinning, which was a rarity for the area. Everything seemed to be safe, but the feeling of being watched started to return.

With everything that had happened today, Lily was almost afraid her mystery texter was her stalker.

Pulling into the driveway, Lily noticed Bella's truck parked out front.

Well… Lily thought to herself. This is just going to be an awesome day now isn't it?

Taking another sip from her frozen coffee, she parked her car and gathered her belongings.

Once more into the trenches.
