Lily woke up in a bed she didn't recognize, in a room that wasn't hers, and knew someone was watching her. To top it off, she had one of the worst headaches she had ever experienced. Deciding to get the worst of it out of the way, she sat up in bed to confront her observer.

It turned out to be Rosalie. Lily was shocked that the rathe aloof blonde was at her bedside, even if it wasn't her actual bed.

"Nice of you to finally rejoin the land of the living" came from Rosalie as she flipped through what looked like a mechanic's magazine.

"Or living dead, depending on how you look at it" Lily groaned out, trying to rub the headache out through her temples.

"Funny, never heard that one before. You should take your show on the road, or at least out of my bed" Rosalie responded, still looking utterly uninterested in explaining how Lily ended up in her bed.

"You know, you could have just asked me to come to bed with you. No need to go through all the effort."

"You're a regular comedian."

"Absolutely. You should catch my Saturday night special when it airs. Don't say you'll be sleeping either. We both know you aren't a fan."

Rosalie looked up finally at that last quip. Her resting bitch face was astounding to be on the receiving end Lily thought to herself.

"I doubt we get whatever channel your debut into television specials airs on" Rosalie finally said, looking as thrilled with the prospect of any more humor from Lily as she would giving a cat a bath.

At that point Emmett entered the room, looking way too pleased with himself.

"Well now, I'm sure I could rig something up so we can catch the show" he teased back at Rosalie, leaning against the door frame.

"If you break another tv Esme is going to kill you with her bare hands."

"No problem, bears don't scare me" he responded, smirking at whatever he was imagining in his head.

"Sure, because wrestling with bears goes so well for you." Rosalie rolled her eyes before getting up from her chair, magazine forgotten.

"How are you feeling Lily? Ready to go downstairs? I have been instructed to bring you down either way, so I guess it doesn't matter."

"Well gee willikers mister, you sure know how to proposition a lady." Lily deadpanned back.

"Up you get! You can walk or I can carry you Ms. Lady" He answered, bowing exaggeratedly.

"I ought to make you carry me for your indiscretions."

Rosalie groaned watching the exchange. "I absolutely refuse to put up with this for the rest of eternity. Lily, get up. Emmett, shut up." And with that, her royal highness of RBF walked out of the room.

The two left behind just watched her leave before facing each other and bursting into laughter.

"Ugh, don't make me laugh Emmett, it hurts."

"You're not dying, trust me. I'm a bit of an expert on that subject."

"And bears, from the sound of it." Lily responded, swinging her feet off the side of the bed. She got a little lightheaded, but she wasn't sure if it was because she got up too quickly or from passing out earlier.

"If you pass out again, Alice will be pissed. I can only handle one midget at a time so you've been warned."

"Thanks, I'll keep that in mind."

The two made their way slowly down the stairs. Emmett walked in front of Lily to ensure if she fell forward, he could catch her, but was kind enough not to bring it up out loud.

"Dear, how are you feeling?" Esme asked after they entered the living room. Esme rushed and gave Lily a hug before checking her over as if she was one of her own kids.

"I'm ok, I just have a headache. I'm sorry for always causing drama at your house. I promise its not normally my style."

"Hush, I am the one who should be apologizing. I pushed you way too far. Thank goodness Rose was here. With Carlisle at the hospital still, she's the only other one here with medical experience." Esme seemed satisfied with her examination at that point. She helped bring Lily to the couch.

"That explains why she was creeping on me while I was out of it." Lily joked, smiling over at Rosalie. She looked back at Lily looking utterly done with her.

"So dear what do you remember?"

"I remember doing the experiments. I had just gotten back from seeing Emmett and Rosalie collecting the blue flower bunch before everything went dark."

"Good, your memory is fine. Yes, you passed out after telling us where they collected the flowers. You were right, if you are curious to know. But I think we should stop for the day."

"But I feel much better!"

"No, absolutely not. You are done for the day. Are Sarah and John home? You shouldn't be left alone so soon after passing out, let alone drive."

"No, they're still out of town on their romantic weekend."

"Well, I'll call her to let her know you're spending the night here. It would probably give her comfort to know you are with adults as well."

Lily didn't know how she felt about that, but its not as if she could argue against the idea. She felt like crap, it was dark out, and the thought of driving alone in it with the windy wet roads didn't sounds like a fun idea.

Crap, she had forgotten about Leah!

"Don't worry, I used your phone to text Leah. She kept calling while you were out of it. She was invited for the sleepover, but she declined" Alice announced as she skipped into the room holding a duffle bag that looked awfully familiar.

"I went to your house to get some of your things! You fit my clothes, but Esme thought you'd be more comfortable wearing your own"

"You are all a bunch of creepers in this house. How dare you go through my unmentionables without my consent" Lily teased, grateful that Alice had brought her some clothes.

"Creeping, stalking, and feeding are the staples of vampire nature. Glad to see you're catching on!" She replied happily, plopping down on the couch next to Lily.

"Besides, I told you I finally had you earlier! You aren't about to be let free so soon! We have girly stuff to do!"

Great, Lily thought to herself. Hopefully Bella wasn't going to join in on the festivities.

"Bella is getting permission from Charlie now to spend the night too! He'll say yes of course, especially when I head over to join her in asking. SO! That means it's a girl only night! Even Rose is going to join us, right Rose?"

Rosalie did not look thrilled with the prospect of spending ay extra time with the humans.

"Fine, I'll join. I could use a manicure anyways. But you're stuck with Bella as a toy. I want Lily."

Huh, Lily thought to herself. She didn't realize Rosalie preferred her to Bella. That made her feel better about everything.

"Ok! I'll have Lily next time" Alice decided, looking way too happy with the idea of having so many people to dress up. "I'm gonna go pick up Bella. Don't do anything fun without us!" Alice threatened, looking about as scary as a kitten. Lily wondered if she looked as ferocious when she was mad.

Rosalie looked back at Lily once Alice left.

"I can't stand Bella. You at least have goals and plans. I know you aren't fond of her either. So we are going to stick together tonight. Do not leave me alone with Bella, and I won't leave you alone. Deal?"

"Deal"

With that unlikely alliance, the girls didn't realize they had unintentionally forged a bond of friendship. A friendship that Bella would forever be envious of, no matter how close she was with Alice.

And forever is a very long time.
