*I want to say thank you and give a shout out to Piennn for the comment! I'm, glad you are enjoying the story so far. Jasper/OC is one of my favorite pairings, although I enjoy OC/the three kings in any semblance too. As for what she is, keep guessing 😉 Alice is a wonderful character, but we rarely get Rosalie, Esme, or Leah fleshed out in stories. I don't want to take her from Bella. I admit it felt like I pushed her character a little to fast. I'm of the belief that you fake it until you make it. After the tough life she has had, I think she's developed a public face where she can be sarcastic and open, without giving any real details to her life. Once she starts actually connecting deeper with her family, I hope the readers will be able to notice the public face she has and her inner face. I am glad you pointed it out to me! Thank you! *

Sarah and John came back Monday afternoon looking extremely relaxed and happy. Lily was happy for them, but chose not to ask what they got up to. She wasn't that naive. Instead, she told her guardians that she was invited to a girls weekend away the coming weekend. Sarah wanted to know who she would be with, where, and how they could get in contact. Lily quickly had explained that it was Rosalie Cullen, Dr. Cullen's eldest daughter. They had a vacation home in Hawaii, and Rose was sick of the cold and rain of Forks.

Sarah was surprised, she hadn't realized that the girls were friends. She asked if Leah was coming, but Lily said that her mom needed her at home with everything that had gone on lately. She also let Sarah know that no boys would be on this trip. She promised to have her cellphone on her the entire weekend, and she would call nightly.

Sarah eventually agreed, while John seemed suspicious. He couldn't tell where the lie was, but it seemed too smooth a story. He let her have her small freedoms, as she was a pretty well evade teenager. If she came home pregnant, he would handle who had done that then. Positive thoughts brought positive outcomes at the end of the day. No reason he should borrow trouble from somewhere else.

The rest of the week passed by quickly. She got some snarky texts from Leah, saying she was turning into vampire bait. Lily knew she was just hurting right now, so she promised to stop by sometime during the week to see her best friend.

It was not the best meet up.

After school on Wednesday, she had gone to La Push only to find that the pack was acting significantly colder to her than before. She put up with the sharp jokes, the little digs they made, for several hours. She certainly didn't look them over. Instead, she made sure to memorize each and every instance and who said them. Sam and Leah eventually showed up from their rounds to Emily's house. It had become the base of their operations.

Lily thought they just liked her cooking.

"Sam, I have a bone to pick with you!" Lily started shortly after his entrance. The room got quiet to listen in. He just looked at her with a tired expression.

"What is it?"

"So, I go to the Cullens to help work on my abilities as they have their own, and I come back to spend time with the pack only to find out if been labeled as something akin to gum under a shoe or trash. I didn't realize that you guys turned on others so quickly. Far be it from me to feel offended as you are a tribe that I am not actually a member of. I just assumed that as I've been spending most of my time here, growing vegetables, working with plants, and even helping the elderly that I had been welcomed. Not only that, but when I discover I'm some freak of nature and you guys couldn't help, that when I turned to the only other supernatural beings in my life for advice that I would become last week's trash."

"Lily, its not like that." He said exhausted.

"Oh really? Enlighten me. How does being told I'm vampire bait, I need to eat more garlic, I'm looking a bit pale, how's it feel to be a pet, and several other comments supposed to feel like? Not only that, but I saved your fiancé after you were the one to hurt her. I was there for Leah after you broke her heart. I was there for Seth when all of you turned your back on him after you changed. Fuck Sam, I have practically been a member of this family for roughly 7 months now. But it seems that one selfish act of trying to find out what the hell I am and you all turn your backs on me. But then again you all don't even do me the common decency of telling me to my face. Oh no, you all partook in making these snippy little comments instead like children. What if Sam hadn't been there to help you Paul? What about you Jared? Or any of you? Fuck Sam, you at least had the tribal elders to help you! Who do I have?"

She paused that that. Nobody made a sound.

"I have nobody other than you guys. Sarah and John are 100% human. You guys are my family. But I guess I had made a mistake in thinking that. Maybe if I sprouted a tail and fur instead of fangs and wings, I would have been welcomed. I see now that I only deluded myself. You much prefer Bella. Funny, so do the vampires you hate so much. Thanks for opening my eyes. Bye Sam."

She turned to Leah at that point, whose face was tight but unreadable. "Leah, you're my best friend. I can't ask you to choose between me or your family. Text me whenever you're free. I won't impose myself on this family again as you have all made your point clear." With that parting comment, Lily left to go home.

She had to pull over on the side of the road shortly after leaving La Push because she could no longer see. Her eyes were streaming tears. This felt almost like losing her brother again. She was all alone. Sarah and John tried, and she loved them dearly for it. She tried to focus on that. Besides, she only had a few months left before graduation. She hadn't heard back yet from the colleges but someone was bound to accept her, right?

The thoughts didn't help distract her from the loneliness that enveloped her. The heart breaks. It had started raining, which only added the ambiance of her break down. It felt like she couldn't breathe which only freaked her out more.

"No no no no no not now please not now" Lily managed to sob out loud. She was having a full-blown panic attack. She couldn't remember where her phone landed after she through it in the car when she left the pack.

Then, there was a knock on her driver's side window. She screamed, scared she was about to die until she realized it was Jasper. He waved and went over the the passanger side before coming into the car and sitting down.

"Bad day, huh?" He asked.

Lily just looked at him, breathing hard short gasps, staring at him as if he was the most stupid person on the planet.

"No, it has been a great day. Didn't you know this is what all the cool kids do nowadays?" she sarcastically replied.

Jasper just stared at her, unimpressed. Then, as if by magic she started to calm down. She was able to breath again. She put her head on her headrest and closed her eyes. She always felt like the air she took in after an attack was the sweetest air possible.

After a few minutes, Jasper started to try again to engage in conversation.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

Without opening her eyes, she replied "do I want to know how you found me?"

He snorted.

"You smell like dog and were awfully loud. Can't I jus' walk in the woods an' help a damsel in distress?"

"I'm no damsel. I'm just upset. If you managed to find a moustache man outside though then we can talk."

He snorted at the comment, before passing her a tissue.

"Alice can't see the wolves, so she knew you'd gone with 'em for the day. Once ya left their land, she could see ya again and saw you stranded. The weather is nasty, so I ran over t' help."

"you're all a bunch of stalking creepers."

He smirked his lopsided grin. "Vampire, remember? Stalkin' is what we do. Creepin' is the first lesson we learn."

"Can you bring me home please? I'm cold."

Jasper left the passenger seat while Lily put the driver's seat back as Jasper was much taller than her before scooting over to the other side. Jasper sat in the seat she had just vacated, checked the mirrors, and started the car. He put the heat on full blast for her as she didn't have a blanket in the car.

He put some music on, only for Lily to realize it was a band she didn't recognize. It was nice and distracting. She focused on the music instead of the heartache in her chest. It wasn't until he had parked in her driveway did she realize he made it to her house. She hadn't realized he knew where she lived.

Wait.

How did he know?

She turned towards him, looking confused. He answered the unasked question she had in her mind.

"It was me that left ya' the flowers. I can't exactly give them to ya' if I don't know where ya' live. I hope you like 'em."

She was shocked. She had so many more questions now that he had admitted to being the one who had left them at the house.

"I can't tell ya' everythin' jus' yet. But I am sweet on you. I jus' need some time. Would you… Be ok waitin' for me?"

She just looked at him, trying to look into his soul. His eyes were honest and she couldn't detect any deceit. But then again, he could control emotions so she wasn't sure what to think.

"I'm not one for relationships, I'm sorry."

"No, the time is for both of us. I jus' wanna spend some time with you, even if my sister is with ya. I don't wanna pressure ya' though. It's your choice."

She was silent for a few moments, thinking on her options.

"Let me get back to you after Hawaii. I am staying at your parent's house after all."

"No, don't just say yes for my sake or because of the house. I want ya' to say yes if you're truly comfortable with it."

"You did just save me from a break down, so that's a few points in your favor."

"I'm also sexy."

"Rude, points deducted for ego." She laughed.

Before stepping out of the car, she wrote her number on a piece of scrap paper in the car.

"Here's my number. Let's start there, okay? I've not done this before, so fair warning."

"Neither have I, so we have that in common." He smiled, causing her to smile.

"Goodnight Jasper, thanks for saving me tonight."

"I'm always here for ya' darlin'"
