The singing was faint, but I heard it from the front office. I frown and shake my head, no one was supposed to still be here, not right now. The only reason I was here was because I was waiting for my meeting at 6 PM in the boardroom. I go quiet and listen closely as the singing continues.

I walk closer and closer until I clearly hear the voice, singing softly. I turn a corner and soon I am finding myself in front of Lucy's office. I take a step in making sure that I am quiet as I look to where she is usually sitting. She is sitting at her desk, earphone plugged in as she sings, franticly typing at the computer in front of her.

I smile as I continue to listen to the song she was singing, I don't know the song, but hearing her sing is soothing and I almost feel like slow dancing. I lean against the frame of the door and I just watch her as she continues to type. It seems that she is in her own world as she just continues.

I listen to the words and I feel a pang of jealousy as I instantly imagine her singing this too her boyfriend, Chaise. He didn't deserve her. My thoughts in regards to Lucy and her relationship has made a turn for the worse. She stops for a moment and looks to her phone, reading something and then sighs before she continues to type on her keyboard again. I push off the door frame and take a step into the office and she still hasn't noticed my presence. I smile as I take a step closer and closer until I am behind her, just listening to her voice carry itself in the office.

She moves somewhat to the side grabbing at her phone again looking at something then she slightly pushes her chair out far enough to get up but not noticing that I am behind her. She places the phone in her pocket and looks to her desk, almost like she is looking for something but she doesn't find it. At this I nod my head and then move to Erza's table taking a seat at the desk watching as Lucy quickly leaves the office and in less than a minute she returns with documents in her hands. "Why are you still here?" she asks and I look to the computer screen.
"I have a meeting at 6." I reply taking my phone out of my pocket and looking at the screen.
"That suck." She says as she sits down and then her fingers are on the keyboard again, her earphones now placed on the paperwork she placed on her table.
"Why are you still here?" I ask eyeing her cautiously.
"Had to finish a few things before I head home. Don't want to be rushed tomorrow." She replies and then she looks at me, something changed again, and I can see it in her eyes. "I'm glad your back, how was your training?" she asks.
"It was good," I reply placing my phone on the table. "So I was meaning to ask, why did you drop the call the other day?" I ask, this question had been on my mind since she ended the call. And then I see it, her cheeks going bright red. Was she blushing? At this I rise to my feet and walk towards her.

"Which is?" I ask, not really interested in what Jellal could possibly have said because everything that comes out of his mouth is shit.
"Is there something between you and Lucy?" Laxus asks as he looks up and then his eyes briefly meet mine before looking back to his phone again. I raise a brow not too sure how I need to approach this subject.
"Meaning?" I ask as I light my smoke and take a drag from it.
"Jellal just said that it seems that there is something between the two of you." Laxus says and at this I raise a brow and I roll my eyes.
"Jellal is bored with his own life." I say and at this Laxus nods his head.
"Natsu, you and I both know you would never do anything to hurt Lisanna." Laxus chips in and I look to him, a bit sceptical. If he only knew how close I actually was to doing something. He would never see it coming if something did happen between me and Lucy. In the process, yes it would hurt Lisanna and surely a whole lot of other people, including Lucy's boyfriend as well if they ever where to find out.

If I played my cards right I would be getting what I have waited for, for the past eight months. Yes you know what I mean, I would be getting to fuck Lucy tonight if everything went my way. I made some plans and I hope to God that they would be working out.
"Till what time are you guys working tonight?" Laxus asks and for a moment Lucy has stepped away.
"Till 12." I answer as I book the blood kit into the evidence safe.
"Hopefully we finish at 12." Comes Lucy's perky voice as she re-appears and then she smiles. "Well I got to go Laxus, speak to you later, some of us needs to work." Lucy states and before we can actually greet Laxus she grabs her phone and she ends the call. "See you guys in the office in a few, still got 5 more hours before we get to go home." Lucy states.
At this I nod and Jellal waves to her, she turns on her heel and soon she is out of the front office and making her way towards her office, we would join her soon when we write up our dockets.
Moments later Jellal's phone rings, he pulls it out and it's a video call from Laxus, Jellal accepts and then we are faced with Laxus, who is drinking and surely already actually drunk. "What's up buddy?" I ask as Laxus struggles to keep the phone at face value while trying to hold a drink as well.
"Not much, got some tequila." Laxus states and at this I raise a brow. Laxus was drunk, and beyond any food to sober him up.
"Hmm, drinking?" Jellal asks as he looks to our friend.
"Yes" Laxus answers and I just raise my brow.
"You alone buddy or you got a girl with you?" Jellal asks and at this Laxus shakes his head and he shows us a view of the whole room he is in alone.
"You guys gotta take Lucy home early. I don't like her being there late." Laxus states and at this I raise my brow even further.
"She has to work with us, you know this." I say and at this Laxus gets a stern look on her face.
"Yeah but just take her home early. Okay!" Laxus says and I take a step back as I grab some more papers that has to go into the docket. "You guys better take her home and make sure she is safe and sound." He sounds more aggressive on the second part.
"Chill Laxus. It's not like she's going to come out and patrol with us and meet up with someone." Jellal states and I watch as Laxus thinks for a moment and then he looks at the camera.
"I just really like her and want to make sure she is ok." Laxus states, I frown, he would never openly admit to liking someone, he was very private with his love life. "I think I am in love." Laxus states and at this I stop everything that I am doing and I look to my drunken friend then to Jellal. Something clicked in my head as I look down to the ground. Laxus was in love with Lucy, and I am pretty sure she knew it because for the past few weeks he would drive her around and buy her lunch and stuff. I bite back the snide remark I wanted to say and I shake my head.
What was happening? It was one thing cheating on Lisanna, it was another thing if Lucy was playing Laxus and fucking around with me.
After some talking between Jellal and Laxus I grab at the phone. "We will take her home after we finish these statements ok?" I say and at this Laxus just smiles and nods his head.
True to my word after our paperwork we went to Lucy and told her that we would be taking her home. She was rather unhappy about it as she got into the back of the car and we drove her home. But I think it was the better option.
