Happy Mothers Day!
This Chapter is for all the Mum's out there. Especially my Mum her has helped me so lot in my life.
Chapter .2.
"My Lady?" Thalia asks shocked.
"Lady Artemis?" Annabeth and Percy ask.
"Artemis?" Hermes asks shocked.
"Sister?" Athena asks just as shocked.
They see Artemis in a tatted and patched dress. Her hair was messy and dirty in a ponytail. Her eyes held a lot of different emotions. Like Grief, Sadness, Fear, Guilt and Despair. Artemis had never showed that information before.
Artemis looks at them tears falling.
"It is me", Artemis croaks out.
"What was that?" Athena asks gently.
"A curse. Ap…Him and I are cursed", Artemis replies with pain and despair in her eyes.
"Cursed?" Annabeth asks.
"Yes. By Day Ap…Him is human and by night he is a wolf. It is the opposite for me. I am a Hawk in the day and night I am human", Artemis replies tears falling as she stumbles to the log.
"Who did it?" Hermes asks angrily.
"I can't say Lord Hermes", Artemis replies.
"Why?" Thalia asks.
Artemis points to her collar, "This prevents me. It also binds my powers, gives orders I have to follow and binds me by a curse. It also blocks my bond to Apo…HIM"
"What are these orders?" Will asks.
"I am Unable to contact any Family be it Immortal or Demigod, Unless they contact us first. Unable to really say their names without Lord or Lady in front. Unable to say each others names without pain. Unable to give written messages too each other or nearly understand writing. And my healing factor will slow and injuries WILL leave scars. I also can't really understand HIM when in my animal form or his appearance and it would be the same for him. It also makes us stay close too each other", Artemis replies softly.
"You have been like this for 550 Years?" Athena asks shocked.
"Yes", Artemis whispers.
"We are so sorry Artemis. We should have found you sooner", Athena tells her sitting down next to Artemis and giving a hug.
Artemis flinches then relaxes.
"Not your fault. We weren't able to contact you", Artemis says.
The wolf/Apollo comes over and lays his head in Artemis's lap.
"We WILL kill whoever did this M'Lady", Reyna vows.
"If only it was that easy", Artemis mutters quietly.
"What have you been doing all these centuries?" Meg asks.
"Hunting for food in the wood. Stealing money and clothes. Camping in the woods. Battling Monsters that seem very attracted to us. Barely able to cope without hearing or seeing my protector, my defender, my true confident, my twin, my sun...my other half", Artemis sobs crying.
Athena pulls her into a hug. With Thalia on the other side.
"I just want my brother. I want my brother. Please help. I want my brother to hug me. I need and want my brother. I want to feel the sun on my human skin", Artemis repeats over and over again.
Everyone looked at Artemis sadly. She was obvious didn't allow herself to grieve. Those sobs and crying told them just how much Artemis loved and missed her brother. And how much this curse was destroying her. And they saw before that Apollo was in a similar state.
Athena and Thalia hug her tight. Whispering promises in her ear as they waited for Artemis to calm down. They weren't going to allow Artemis to bottle it up.
Artemis calms down and picks up the dagger.
"HE had this made for me for us. It was just on the ground after HE changed. It has the moon and sun on it. It is the only gift I have from him", Artemis replies sadly.
"How do we break this curse?" Annabeth asks.
"There is only one way. Lady Annabeth and it is not an easy way", Artemis tells her.
"And what is that my Lady", Reyna asks.
"No need for 'my Lady' I am not a Lady anymore", Artemis replies sadly.
"You will always be Auntie", Will tells her softly.
"So what is the way to break the curse?" Nico asks.
"Until we both face our curses in our true forms together side by side. When the Moon and Sun a line with all the planets with the Chaotic Planet. And ALL Olympians must be present. For the curse to break. There is no chance off that happening", Artemis replies sadly with a tear falling.
"There is a chance Artemis and we will do anything to help you both. Maybe there is another way", Athena says comforting.
"No there is not", Artemis replies with hopelessness in her voice.
The others were shocked at how much Artemis had changed from a Warrior Goddess to a depressed woman. A shadow off her former self.
"Why are you here?" Artemis asks with only a hint of curiosity.
"Another war is on the horizon. Tartarus and Nyx are rising to kill us all", Athena explains.
Artemis bites her lip. She couldn't tell them they were behind the curse. The collar wouldn't let her anyway.
"We have a New Council Artemis. And Lieutenants two each, two for Greek and two for Roman. They sit in on the Council meetings. But the only former Demigods on the Council are Percy, Annabeth, Reyna, Clarisse, Thalia, Nico, Will, Piper and Leo", Athena explains.
"A good mix. What about the older gods?" Artemis asks.
"There are 33 now on the Council. 35 with you and Apollo", Hermes explains.
Artemis flinches at Apollo's name.
"Why do you flinch at Ap…HIS name?" Nico asks.
"It sends pain through my body. It is a cruel part of the curse we are under", Artemis replies softly.
"We will try not to say it", Reyna says gently.
"Thank you. So why did you track me and HIM down?" Artemis asks looking at each off them.
"We need your and your brothers help", Clarisse tells her.
"Artemis would you come with us?" Athena asks.
Artemis looks at their hopeful faces. Could she really go? They would see her and her brother change. Could she really do that?
"Artemis we will be by your side from now on", Hermes tells her seeing the fear in her eyes.
"Ok. I need to pack our stuff", Artemis replies.
She goes and picks up the bow and the old rucksack. Making sure she had her knives and daggers. Then moves to the group. With Apollo at her side.
"I can't teleport. My powers are just below a demigod", Artemis replies embarrassed.
Oh how they were going to kill those that hurt Artemis and Apollo.
"Don't worry about it. We will take you", Athena replies.
"Ok I trust you", Artemis replies grabbing the wolf's fur.
"I am ready", Artemis replies nervously.
Athena takes her hand and flashes them to the Olympus Council Room. Artemis looks around and there were more thrones then there ever was before. There appeared to be thirty-three Thrones.
"I just sent the call", Hermes tells them.
Artemis wanted to bolt. She didn't want anyone to see her like this. But she and her brother needed support and they could because the Council had found them.
There were flashes of light. She saw the New Council members. There was Amphitrite, Persephone, Ariadne, Karmanor, Thanatos, Hecate, Nemesis, Harmonia, Styx, Bellona, Janus, Triton, Piper McLean and Leo Fitz. Several others were there too. One either side off the parents thrones.
Zeus and the others looked at Athena and Hermes.
"What did you find?" Zeus asks, "Did you find them?"
"Yes we did. But it is complicated. Come out Artemis", Athena asks gently.
Artemis steps forward with Apollo in wolf form at her side. The Council gasps seeing her patched up and dirty dress. Her hair was in a messy ponytail. And her eyes were full of Grief, Fear, Sadness, Anxiety and Despair.
"Daughter what happened?" Zeus asks, "Where is Apollo?"
