Chapter .3.
"Have you all got that memorised?" Dumbledore asks
They all nod. Selena was besides Loki. She wasn't leaving his side for a while. Dumbledore sets the parchment with the address of the Headquarters on fire.
"Why do we need to see that?" Tony asks
"The house is under the Fideli-", Selena starts
"Not here things will be explained inside", Dumbledore says wondering how she knew
"Where-?" Steve asks
"Just think about what you memorised", Remus says surprised when Selena didn't ask
They all thought about what they read soon a battered door emerges out of nowhere between 11 – 13, followed swiftly by dirty walls and grimy windows. It was as though an extra house had inflated, pushing those on either side out of its way.
"The ancestral home of Black", Selena thinks
"This place smells of dark magic", Loki thinks to her
"It does it is rancid", Selena thinks
She now had that part of her powers back she could smell magic light and dark and this place smelled of dark magic.
"This place is a fixer up err", Tony says looking at it
"Come on hurry up", growls Moody
They all walk up the stone steps. It was painted black and was shabby and scratched. The silver door-knocker was in the form of a twisted serpent. There was no keyhole or letterbox. Dumbledore pulled his wand and tapped the door once. They heard loud, metallic clicks and what sounded like the clatter of a chain. The door creaked open.
And the smell of dark magic was worse. Loki held tight too Selena as she swayed. Loki knew for a Light Elf dark magic was bad for them and smells terrible and could make them sick, dizzy and could faint if they were that sensitive.
"Are you alright?" Loki thinks
"Don't let go. Your grounding me. I wish this part of my powers never came back first and while I am still mortal", Selena thinks
"I will never let go of you", Loki thinks
"Get in Selena", Dumbledore orders
"Don't tell me what to do Headmaster", Selena says annoyed
"He should have cleared the house of dark magic. This place is dangerous", Loki thinks growls
"He doesn't know what I am but he should have cleared the house of dark magic", Selena thinks
They all stepped over the threshold into the almost darkness of the hall. All the Avengers grimace at the darkness and filth. Also the smell of damp, dust and a sweetish, rotting smell.
"I will give us a little light", Remus says casting a lumos spell
"Quiet in the hallway", Dumbledore whispers to the Avengers and Selena
That's when they heard hurried footsteps and Mrs Weasley appears from a door at the far end of the hall. She was beaming in welcome.
"Oh Selena, it's lovely to see you and we all knew you would get off", Molly whispers hugging Selena, "You're looking peaky; you need feeding up. Come you need to eat. Ron and Hermione are waiting for you"
"They're here?" Selena asks a little angry
"Yes. They can't wait too see you", Molly says, "You must keep your voice down in the hall"
"Why?" Natasha asks
"We don't want to wake all the portraits up", Remus explains
"Talking portraits?" Tony asks excited looking around
"Who are they?" Molly asks Dumbledore
"This will be explained in the kitchen", Dumbledore says
"Are you alright Selena?" Loki thinks
"I am adjusting. Still the dark magic makes my skin crawl", Selena thinks
Loki rubs her arm in comfort. Trying to make her think of anything by the skin crawling.
"Selena Potter", a voice says
Selena looks to see her godfather in this life Sirius Black.
"Sirius", Selena says hugging him tightly and he hugs her back
"What were you thinking?" Sirius asks scolding her
"I was thinking about saving my soul", Selena says pushing out of his arms
"You could have been thrown to the Dementors with the Ministry these days", Sirius says
"I was saving lives", Selena says coldly
"Who are they? Are these the ones you used spells in front off?" Sirius asks
"I did", Selena says head held high
"Why?" Sirius asks
"That I can't tell you", Selena says, "Now I am hungry"
"I will get you some food", Molly says hurrying away
"Selena!" Hermione cries and hugs Selena tightly, "Are you alright? Have you been furious with us? I bet you have, I know our letters were useless – but we couldn't tell you anything, Professor Dumbledore made us swear we wouldn't, oh, we've got so much to tell you, and you got things to tell us about the Dementors and being in New York using magic"
"Let her breathe Hermione", Ron says grinning
That was when Hedwig landed on her shoulder.
"Hedwig" Selena asks stroking her and the snowy owl nibbled her ear affectionately
"She's been in a right state. Pecked us half to death when she bought your last letters, look at this…", Ron says showing his hands that sported half healed deep cuts
"I want answers", Selena states
"I am sorry Miss Potter we can't", Dumbledore says, "And I made Miss Granger and Mr Weasley swear not too"
"Heard of a telephone? Death Eaters and Voldemort wouldn't use that", Selena says sarcastically as Molly puts food down in front of her
"It was too dangerous", Dumbledore says
"It is for the best", Hermione says
"Right", Selena says as Loki puts his arm around her
"What is going on here?" Sirius asks
"None of your business. Like you decided to keep secrets from me I will keep them from all of you", Selena growls
"Relax my love", Loki thinks
"They have been ignoring me all summer", Selena thinks
"Have any of you been attacked by Dementors this summer?" Selena asks everyone
They all shift uncomfortably.
"Have any of you been arrested?" Selena asks
Everyone shifts uncomfortable again.
"But the Order of the Phoenix was tailing you all time", Ron says
"YOU MEAN I HAD PEOPLE WATCHING ME AND DID NOTHING!" Selena yells
"Selena…", Remus starts
"YOU WATCHED MY EVERY MOVE AND DIDN'T NOTICE MY UNCLE AND COUSIN BEING BULLIES TOO ME!" Selena yells
"My Kaetia calm down I feel your magic", Loki whispers in her ear
"Why were you watching her and didn't tell her? She wasn't a criminal?" Thor asks
"Who are you?" Severus sneers
"I am Crown Prince Thor of Asgard", Thor says
"Steve Rodgers aka Captain America and leader of the Avengers", Steve says
"Tony Stark aka Ironman", Tony says
"Bruce Banner aka the Hulk", Bruce says
"Clint Barton aka Hawkeye", Clint says
"Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow", Natasha says
"I am Prince Loki of Asgard", Loki says arm around Selena calming her down
"Why are you close to my goddaughter?" Sirius asks
"None of your business for keeping me out of the loop here", Selena growls
"Selena…", Molly says
"How come I had to stay at the Dursley's while you all have been here?" Selena asks
"The blood wards Selena", Dumbledore says
"Blood wards are illegal", Selena says coldly
"How do you know that?" Dumbledore asks wonderingly more how she knew all this information
"I do", Selena says
"We haven't been in on the meetings. Mum said we are too young", Ron says
"You are", Molly says sternly, "Including you Selena"
"I have a right too know", Selena says
"No. Your too young. And I will not let any of my children at these meetings", Molly says
"Your not my mother. My mother is a great woman", Selena breaths
There was silence in the kitchen. Everyone but Loki couldn't believe she said that. The Avengers did know her but did think she was a little harsh. None heard the present tense she used on mother.
"That is my mother! You can't talk to her like that!" Ron yells
"Selena. That wasn't nice", Remus says with disappointment
"It is true. She will never be. No one can replace my parents", Selena says
"Mr Black please show Selena and I too her room", Loki says knowing his Kaetia needed to talk to him
Sirius looks at Dumbledore who whispers something to Sirius who nods.
"Ok. Follow me", Sirius says knowing that it would be a good idea to get Selena out of here
Sirius leads them up the stairs and to a room that was a little dark.
"This is your room. I fought to have you in your own room as you are my goddaughter. I hadn't had time to decorate it", Sirius says
"I will. Is my stuff here?" Selena asks
"Yes. The Order collected all of your stuff", Sirius replies
"Thank you. Now I need to talk with Loki. And he will be sharing with me", Selena says
"I don't think…", Sirius says
"He will share this room with me! You won't have a say about it", Selena growls
"I will teleport her out of here if we don't share. We will go to a place I know is safe and she won't be bought back here", Loki threatens, "Now even the Avengers will be able to find us"
"Fine. I will leave you to talk. The bath room is attached", Sirius says leaving the room
"Check this room for listening spells", Selena thinks
"I am", Loki thinks
Loki waves his hand and finds a listening spell he immediately gets rid of it and all other charms in the room and puts up a powerful silence charm that none will be able to break or listen with anything on them.
"Shield us from Moody's eye too", Selena thinks
Loki waves his hands again and nobody would be able to see inside the room now.
"There we are free my Kaetia", Loki says pulling Selena close
"I missed you", Selena says burying her face in Loki's chest and smelling his unique scent
"And I you. You were right to tell that woman she wasn't your mother no matter what anyone said", Loki says
"My mother will always be Queen Layla and my father always King Oberan", Selena says
"Tell me what happened since we last parted", Loki says
"I am hungry Loki and this room needs work before we talk", Selena says
"What do you want me to do to it my Lady?" Loki asks smiling
"A King canopy bed and dressing tables on either side and the room expanded and heightened to like my one at Alfheim", Selena says
Loki waves his hands and the room expands to 7 times its size and the bed was like the one on Alfheim. It was made out of redwood, whitewood and blackwood mix. And looked amazing.
"Turquoise, Silver and Gold for the walls with green trim and gold and cream bedding", Selena says
Loki waves his hands again and the room changes. Selena liked what she was picking.
"The ceiling to look like the Nine Realms and the cosmos", Selena says
Loki waves his hands and 3D view of the Nine worlds were on the ceiling looking like you could see all worlds.
"I would like the Yggdrasil tree on that wall", Selena says pointing at the left wall
Loki does what she says and makes the branches reach the Nine Worlds on the ceiling. All was 3D.
"Cream Carpeting", Selena says
Loki snaps his fingers and cream clean carpeting appears under their feet.
"A desk and chair and a couch to sit on", Selena says
Loki snaps his fingers and they appear
"The bathroom is to look like the lakes on Alfheim on the walls. It is to be 4 times its size and the bath just as big as Alfheim private bathrooms and the shower bigger to fit two comfortably", Selena says
Loki again waves his hands and the bathroom changes.
"What next my love?" Loki asks
"Mmm. Lets go back to the main room to finish in there", Selena says
"I have gifts for you", Loki says reaching into his dimensional storage and pulling out a gold mirror, "This will allow us to communicate over worlds. I have the other one and only you can use that one"
Selena takes it. It had rubies, emeralds and sapphires embedded in it and it was made out of pure gold.
"Thank you", Selena says to Loki and kisses him
"I have more presents", Loki says going into his dimensional storage and pulling out snake
Selena's eyes widen. She loved snakes as one of her five favourite animals.
"What will you name this snake?" Loki asks handing her the snake
"Sadi", Selena says, 'Is Sadi a good name for you?' she hisses at the snake
'Yes Mistress', Sadi hisses
'You can explore. But make sure nobody sees you', Selena hisses
'Thank you Mistress', Sadi hisses
"This is the wyvern", Loki says handing her the little dragon from the dimensional storage.
Selena happily takes the wyvern another of her favourite animals.
'Spectra will be your name is that alright?' Selena hisses
'Yes. I can change my colour with will', Spectra hisses
'That is good. You can explore too', Selena hisses putting the wyvern down
'Thank you Mistress', Spectra hisses
Loki pulls out a black kneazle. Selena gently takes her.
"How about Jade for you?" Selena asks her
Jade meows in approval. Selena couldn't understand her until all her powers were unlocked. She places Jade on the ground as Loki goes for his dimensional storage again
"I have another kitten for you from your home world", Loki says puling out a white kitten with blue diamond eyes
"She's beautiful. I will call her Uru which means diamond", Selena says
Loki again goes for his pocket and pulls out three wolf pups. And places them on the floor.
"The silver one is a male and the two white ones are females", Loki says, "And the last gifts I have for you"
"Balto, Aniu and Aleu", Selena says patting them
They started licking her in approval of their names.
Selena laughs, "We will need beds for all of them and a perch for Hedwig"
Loki waves his hands and beds for all the animals appear.
"What do you want to do now?" Loki asks
"Bookshelves. And have you kept all my books?" Selena asks
"I have. I will put them on the shelves with only us being able to read them", Loki says going into his dimensional storage pocket again and bring out the books
Selena opens her trunk and they begin to sort out all the books.
"How many times have you been re-born since I saw you?" Loki asks as they sort the books and the room with Selena's things from her trunk
"4 times including this time", Selena says
"To who?" Loki asks
"I was the sister to Nicholas Fury in 1950 to 1968", Selena says
Loki groans, "I know Nicholas and he is a pain"
"He was my older brother. I will have to tell him about me when we are ready. I died from being tortured, beaten, experimented on and raped", Selena says
"What was the next life?" Loki asks fists clenched
"Seraphina Snape in 1970 to 1983 I was beaten to death by my 'father'. Severus wasn't able to save me. He is a bastard in this life to me because I am 'James Potter's' 'daughter'", Selena says
"Is he still alive?" Loki asks
"I don't know. You are going to torture him aren't you?" Selena asks
"Yes. He killed you. Did the police get him?" Loki asks
"I don't know", Selena says
"What about your next life?" Loki asks
"I was Annamarie Stark. Little Sister to Tony Stark from 1983 – 1989. I was killed by a drunk driver", Selena says finishing the books and going to her trunk to get her clothes
Loki groans, "He will be unbearable if we tell him"
"We won't for a while. No one can know my curse", Selena says
"I agree. What do you have such ratty clothes?" Loki asks looking at the clothing Selena had pulled out
"Petunia who is my legal guardian in this life only bought me second hand clothing. I was never allowed new stuff", Selena replies
"Well we will fix that. How about us going out to London and getting you new things? We will both change out looks", Loki offered
"I would love too. Also go to Gringotts and Diagon Alley. But you will have to put a monitoring charm on the room door so we know when they want us", Selena says
Loki snaps his fingers.
"Done", Loki says, "We will both be warned if someone wants us and no one but us will be able to step in the room or open the door"
"Thank you. Now I need food and clothes", Selena says
"Would you allow me to escort you around London and Diagon Alley for a nice late lunch and shopping your Highness?" Loki asks with a bow offering his hand
"You shall your Highness", Selena says curtsying taking his hand
They laugh and Loki teleports them and the wolves out of Grimmauld place without anyone the wiser…
Downstairs…
"Did you here that? She thinks I am not her mother", Molly sniffs
"She needs time to cool down she had been through much in the last few days", Remus says offering a hanky to Molly
"Thank you Remus", Molly says
"They are in the bedroom", Sirius says coming back in
"Alone?" Molly asks going red
"They did threaten", Sirius points out
"We better start a meeting", Dumbledore says
"Hermione, Ron, Ginny, Fred and George upstairs now", Molly orders
"But…", Ron starts
"Now!" Molly orders
They all storm out of the kitchen.
"There are listening charms in the room Albus told me to place", Sirius says
"Lets see what they are saying", Albus says
Sirius pulls out a rock and taps it but it doesn't do anything.
"What was that met to do?" Tony asks
"It was meant for us to listen in on Selena and Loki", Sirius says, "I don't know why it is not working"
Dumbledore points his wand at it and mutters a spell.
"It appears someone found the spell and disabled it", Dumbledore says
"My brother", Thor says, "Loki would know about it and be able to disable it"
"What about you Alastor?" Dumbledore asks
Moody's eye looks up at the ceiling and he appears frustrated.
"Can't see a thing Albus", Moody says
"Loki", Thor says with a nod and frown
"As Miss Potter is underage I know you are right. We will just have to trust them and wait", Dumbledore says heavily
"You can't allow them together Albus!" Molly says going red
"If we want her to stay we will have too and trust them", Dumbledore says heavily
Dumbledore wanted to make Selena happy at the moment she would be more inclined to listen to them if she was happy because she wasn't at the moment she could push them away. He hoped the Avengers would be able to help them with this War and the Prophecy.
"What happened at the Ministry Albus?" Sirius asks
Dumbledore, Moody, Tonks, Kingsley and Remus tell everyone what happened. Sirius was shocked he could be a free man. Selena had basically saved and freed him.
"Why is Selena so important to all of you?" Clint asks
"You must swear not to repeat this to Selena or Loki as I am not sure about him", Dumbledore says
They each swear. Natasha had to threaten Tony not to tell anyone. And she had to threaten Thor. He might trust his brother but all of them were still the fence about Loki's loyalties.
"It all begins with a prophecy that started in 1989…"
