Part Three
Yami cried out in pain as he was thrown against the rough brick wall of a building, cracking the side of his head against it. Stars exploded in his vision as he spun around to face the man.
"I lost everything because of you!" the man snarled.
The mugger grabbed Yami by the chain of the Puzzle, twisting hard until the metal cut into his neck. Yami gritted his teeth as he clenched his eyes shut as he was starting to become lightheaded. In his dazed state, Yami couldn't see which direction they were heading. His vision blurred as he was led through an open doorway before unceremoniously being thrown to the floor, his injured shoulder striking against the unforgiving concrete.
"Yami! YAMI!"
Yami was vaguely aware of Yugi calling out to him.
'Yugi..'
Yami's head swam as he rolled onto his side, his vision blurring as he looked up. His eyes grew wide as he finally realized where he was.
*Flashblack*
" Téa! Get away from her!"
Yugi grabbed hold of the man, trying to pull him away from his friend with everything he had.
"Get lost!"
With a massive shove, Yugi was sent flying into a stack of old gym mats.
As the man turned back to Téa, there was a bright flash of gold. As the light cleared away, Yami stood where Yugi had once stood.
"Turn and face me, Coward!"
*Flashback End*
Yami's eyes grew wide in surprise.
"The warehouse.."
"That's right, punk," the man sneered. "Back where it all started and where we're gonna finish it."
Yami felt the air forced out of his lungs as he was kicked in the gut, sending him skidding across the floor on his back. Yami grunted and gritted his teeth as he glared up at the mugger. The man grabbed the chain around Yami's neck and lifted him into the air, causing him to choke. With great force, he flung Yami into the nearby wall. There was a sickening crunch as Yami struck the wall and collapsed in a crumpled heap on the floor.
"YAMI!"
Yami could feel his control over Yugi waning.
'Yugi, you cannot fight him on your own.'
"Yami, I'm not doing anything! Y-you're fading AWAY!"
Yami's eyes grew wide as he felt his control over Yugi get wrenched away.
"Yugi? YUGI!?"
Yugi groaned as he was forced back into the front of his mind. Through his haze Yugi could barely hear his other self. Yugi looked up, his eyes going wide as the man loomed over him, his face twisted into a cruel grin. In his hand.. Was the Millennium Puzzle. The chain had broke from the constant strain.
"I'm gonna ENJOY this."
Yugi tried to get up, only to be kicked in the face. He spat out blood, and tried to shuffle away. Yugi cried out in agony as he was kicked in the ribs, gritting his teeth as he felt one of the bones snap. Nevertheless, he once again tried to stand up, only to collapse to the floor.
Yugi took in pained, shallow gasps as he stared up at his assailant, his vision going hazy as it became harder to breathe. He could just barely hear the mugger's echoing laughter as his eyes slipped shut.

"D*MN IT!"
Seto slammed his fists down on the desk he had been sitting at. It had been several hours since he managed to call the KaibaCorp staff, intent on gathering what he could on the assailant who had attacked him. He winced at the dull pain in his side, the wound beneath the bandages throbbing from how much he was worked up. Seto instinctively gripped at it, gritting his teeth as he once again became aware of the burning pain. He was thankful the bullet had only been surface deep and had not caused any real damage.
Mokuba stood near the doorway, having run down the hallway at the commotion. After a moment of hesitation, Mokuba entered the room and looked up at his brother.
"Big Brother?"
"Of all the information that could POSSIBLY be in the archives and they can't find a single bit of information on this guy!?" he snarled.
Mokuba's eyes grew wide in surprise.
"Big Brother, who are you talking about?"
"You wouldn't know who he is," Seto responded.
Seto paused, trying to think of a plan. While he had never seen the man in his life, he had heard of him from Joey and Téa's conversation with Yugi. His mind then went back to Yugi. Why was he even making such a big deal out of this? Seto couldn't understand why he would care about Yugi in the first place. He'd humiliated him after all.. Then again, when he had lost to Pegasus, Yugi had risked everything to get his soul back as well as Mokuba's. He glanced over at his brother who looked back with deepening concern. Seto then turned away as he spoke.
"Mokuba.." Seto began. "I need you to do something for me."
Mokuba tensed up as he waited for what his brother had to say.

The nearly full moon shone brightly above the city, giving Seto enough light for him to see. He was glad to have been able to track Yugi after their encounter at the Pier earlier that day. Seto glanced at his phone, checking to see which direction Yugi had gone. Glancing up, he could see he had reached the edge of the city. Many of the buildings in this section of the city seemed to much more derelict and time-worn than the buildings in the more up-kept sections of the city.
He glanced over to his left and could just make out the sign which read 'Spring Street'. Seto glanced all around the area, his eyes locking on an old and abandoned building. He thought back to the conversation between Yugi and Téa and remembered they had mentioned the warehouse on Spring Street. Seto glanced at the tracker and could see it blinking rapidly in the direction of the building, indicating that this was indeed where Yugi was being held captive. Seto turned off the tracker and inched closer, letting out a breath he hadn't realized he had been holding. Keeping to the shadows and being as silent as he possibly could, Seto cautiously peered in through one of the broken windows.
His eyes grow wide as he saw a crumpled form near the far side of the wall. Glancing around the room, he didn't see anyone else. He carefully slipped through the broken window, being careful not to cut himself on the glass as he made his way inside.
