When the three now Kryptonians returned to the Kent Farm they saw that Martha was at home. Clark thought that she might still be at senate meeting, but then he remembered that she was coming home to go to Lana's engagement party, which happened to be that night. Clark wasn't going of course, and neither was Lois, being that she was not with Oliver anymore.
"Hey mom. Sorry I was gone all last night. I forgot you were coming in for Lana's engagement party." Clark said.
"That's fine. Where were you by the way?" Martha asked.
"I was at the fortress talking to Jor-El about finally taking part in my training. I think it is about time." Clark said.
"Well, I am happy for you, but what about the Zoners?" Martha asked.
"I have that taken care of." Clark said as Lois walked into the house with a blonde girl that Martha had never seen before.
"Hey, Mrs. K. This is Kara. She is Clark's cousin from Krypton. Kara, that is Mrs. K., Clark's mom." Lois introduced the two to one another.
"Hold on a second. Did Lois just say something about Krypton? Is there something that I should know about here?" Martha asked.
"Yeah. Long story short, I was affected by this red lipstick that had some love potion in it that mixed with red k. It made me feel feeling for Clark that I never knew I had. I kissed Clark and he was affected by the red k. We decided to go to the fortress for some alone time. When we got there Jor-El talked to us. He asked me if I was going to stay with Clark forever now that I knew that I loved him and I said yes. Next thing I know I am in some light and then I feel different. Now I am full Kryptonian. Ok, I guess it wasn't that short of a story after all." Lois said.
"Clark, are you sure this is safe? You know what happened to your father when he used your powers." Martha said.
"I had the same concerns, but Jor-El said that because Lois is my true mate that the powers won't hurt her because it was meant to happen that way." Clark said.
"Well, that is a relieve. I am glad that you finally know everything Lois. I hated telling you lies all the time." Martha said.
"I understand Mrs. K. You had to protect Clark. I would have done the same thing. I just have to get used to lying to people now that I have powers as well." Lois said.
"You will be fine. Sorry, for being so rude earlier. It is nice to meet you, Kara. It is nice to meet some of Clark's real family, but I do have to ask, where have you been all this time?" Martha asked.
"I was sent here to watch over Clark as he grew up. My pod got knocked off course when I arrived on earth, and it got stuck in Reeves Dam. I have been in stasis ever since." Kara said.
"Well, it is good to have you here. I will go and make up the guest room for you." Martha said.
"I can help you with that. I wouldn't want to put you to work when I can do it myself." Kara said.
"Nonsense. Stay down here with Clark and Lois and hang out. I will be fine on my own." Martha said.
Kara saw that there was no arguing with the woman, so she just let it go and went to join Clark and Lois. Clark went out to do his chores while he wasn't busy, and the two girls stayed inside and just talked for a while.
"So, have you been through this training before?" Lois asked.
"Yes. My father made me do the training before he would even consider sending me here. I didn't have to do the part about Krypton because I lived there, so I know most everything there is to know about the planet. The training for the powers and all the other stuff, that was kind of fun for the most part." Kara said.
"So, is this training going to be teaching me how to control my powers or what is it going to be like?" Lois asked.
"Yes, the physical part is about your powers and fighting. The mental part will be learning everything about Krypton." Kara said.
"Nice. I just wish that we didn't have to be gone so long." Lois said.
"Hold on. You don't know how time works in the fortress? When you are training, it is going to feel like it is six months to a year for you, but the outside world will only think it was a week or maybe a touch more." Kara said.
"Well, that will come in handy. My father will think something is going on if I am gone for six months to a year." Lois said.
"Yeah. Like you said earlier, just tell him you are traveling for a week or so and that should get him off your back." Kara said.
"You have no idea who my father is. He is a General in the military and he can read people. He will think that I am traveling because that is something I would do. But if this training lasted to long, he would see right through that and he would come looking for me." Lois said.
"He'd never find you, but I do know what you are talking about though." Kara said.
"I think I like you. I think we will end up being good friends." Lois said.
"I hope so. So, what is there to do around here?" Kara asked.
"Well, while Smallville is out doing his chores, you and I can watch some television and see if we can find anything that will make us laugh." Lois said.
Lois found something on the tv that she was comfortable watching and then she explained what was going on so that Kara could understand what was happening. Not long after Clark came in from his doing his chores and went up to take a shower so that they could go into town to talk to Chloe and tell her what was going on and that she needed to help Kara as much as possible with the Zoners.
"So, you are like Clark now?" Chloe asked and Lois nodded.
"Wow. I didn't see that coming." Chloe said.
"Yeah. Me either, but it is fun having powers. So, yeah, I will be going with Clark to train tomorrow night. We will be gone for a week to week in a half, so make sure to help Kara and another friend out as much as you can." Lois said and Chloe nodded.
"Well, I need to go get ready for the engagement party. I will see you both before you leave tomorrow." Chloe said as she got up and hugged Lois and Clark before leaving.
The three Kryptonians were now headed back home where Clark and Lois were going to try and finish the movie that they had started watching the night before, while Kara flew around the town once it was dark and no one could see her, so that she would know more about the town than she knew now. All the three Kryptonians knew was that they were happier where they were then they ever would be if they were at Lana's engagement party.
