Clark was done with his work around the farm so he went back to the house so that he could spend some time with his girlfriend. When he walked into the house, he could tell that something was off with Lois, so he went and sat beside her and brought her in for a hug.

"What's going on? You don't look happy to be off for the next three days." Clark said.

"I just had an unexpected visit and it really rubbed me the wrong way. I took care of it though." Lois said.

"Who was it? I haven't seen you this worked up in a long time." Clark said.

"It was my dad, Clark. He wanted all the information that we had on the heroes that we wrote our story about." Lois said.

"I guess that conversation didn't go well then did it?" Clark asked.

"Not at all. I had to threaten to call the police if he didn't leave, and then he had the balls to say that I could do better than you and should have stayed with Oliver." Lois said.

"Sometimes I wonder if he doesn't have a point there. You are much too good for me." Clark said.

"Clark Kent, if I ever hear you say something like that again, I will kick your ass. Remember I have the same powers as you do, so I can hurt you." Lois said.

Clark raised his hands in surrender and said, "I am just saying what I think sometimes. Anyways, what do you want to do for the rest of the weekend?"

"How about we go up to the fortress and get some peace and quiet. After what happened earlier, I can't say that daddy won't show back up and try to talk me into giving him the information again." Lois said.

"Sounds good. Go and get packed. We will leave in a little while." Clark said and they both went upstairs to pack for their weekend.

. . .

Not long after Lois and Clark decided to leave town for the weekend, Chloe was watching television in the Talon apartment when there was a knock at the door. She got up and walked to the door and looked through the peephole to see who was there. She then opened the door with a smile on her face because she knew what this visit was about.

"Hey Uncle Sam, it is good to see you. What brings you by?" Chloe asked.

"I am here to see if you were willing to talk to me about these heroes that you, Lois and the Kent boy wrote about. I need to know that they are not a threat to the security of this country." Sam said.

"I can't give you much, but I can tell you that they will not cause harm to this country or the world. They are here to help it." Chloe said.

"How can you be so sure about that. They could have just told you that to get the people on their side and then they decide to turn on the world." Sam said.

"I don't think that would happen Uncle Sam. They seemed genuine when it came to what they were saying to the three of us." Chloe said.

"You are just as naive as Lois. She kicked me out of what she calls her house and said that she wouldn't give me any information. What does she see in that Kent boy anyways? She can do much better." Sam said.

"There is no better out there than Clark Kent. He would do right by Lois, and he is the best man that I know." Chloe said.

"You sound like you know this from experience. Do you have feelings for the boy or something like that?" Sam asked.

"I used to have a crush on him when I was in high school, but I always knew that I never stood a chance, so if I can't be with him then I would like it that he was with someone like Lois." Chloe said.

"So, he has you both snowed over then. I just don't know what the two of you see in the boy." Sam said.

"Well, I don't guess that is for you to see. Just know that Lois wouldn't be with him if she didn't think he was a good man. You raised her better than that." Chloe said.

"I guess you have a point there. So, is there anything else that you can tell me about these heroes?" Sam asked.

"I have probably already said more than I should have. There is nothing else left to say." Chloe said.

"Well, I will be here for the next couple of days. If you decide to tell me anything else just give me a call." Sam said as he handed Chloe a card with his number on it.

"I will see you later Uncle Sam. It was good to see you." Chloe said as she shut the door.

. . .

Lois and Clark were now up at the fortress so that they could enjoy the rest of their long weekend without any interruptions. It was nice to have a place like this that they could go to whenever they needed the peace and quiet. They unpacked their clothes and then decided to just sit down and relax for a while.

"So, what do you have in mind for the rest of the weekend?" Clark asked.

"For today, I just want to sit here and relax. Maybe tomorrow we can take a trip to some foreign country and spend the next two days there." Lois said.

"Where do you have in mind?" Clark asked.

"Paris or Venice or somewhere like that. I am not too picky." Lois said.

"Well, I guess we can decide where to go when we wake up in the morning. Do you have any special plans for today?" Clark asked.

"I say that we should see how our endurance is and see how many times we can have sex between now and in the morning." Lois said.

"I like the way you think, and it's not like we don't have all the privacy we need to do that." Clark said as he walked over to Lois and picked her up and carried her to the bedroom so they could have their way with each other for the rest of the day until the morning.
