The next day Lex was home and he was trying to think of a way to get the device from Oliver. First he needed to know how Oliver even knew to get the device. He did know that Oliver's parents were part of Veritas, but he could figure out how Oliver knew anything about Veritas being that he had never been interested in the group before now. Lex knew that Veritas was new to him as well, so he knew that Oliver could have found out about it just like he had.
Lex rang his assistant and told her to come into his office. The assistant walked in and he said, "I need you to get all information on Oliver Queen and where he might possibly hide this device that I have been looking for."
"I am on it sir. I will let you know if I find anything." the undercover Justice Leaguer said.
"Good. Get to work." Lex said and the assistant left the office and went somewhere private to make a call.
. . .
Oliver's cell phone rang and he picked it up. "What do you have Dinah?"
"Lex has just tasked me with finding out where you would hide the orb. What do you want me to tell him?" Dinah asked.
"Tell him that I have a secret hiding place in my apartment. I will make it look like I left to go somewhere. When that happens he will have someone break in and I will be here to stop him as the Green Arrow. I will then question the person and then hopefully we will have enough to stop Lex once and for all." Oliver said.
"Sounds good. Do you think that Clark should be there as well? Having Superman there might scare the man even worse than the Green Arrow." Dinah said.
"It might be a good idea to have Clark and Lois here instead of me. Thanks for that idea. They might think that I am the Green Arrow if it was me here. I will call them when we are done here. Anything else?" Oliver asked.
"No. I will let Lex know. You will need to be ready though. It won't take him long to send his man. I will tell him that you are leaving your apartment in an hour." Dinah said.
"Sounds good. I will have Clark and Lois ready as well. Thanks for the heads up Dinah. I will call you later about what we get from Lex's man." Oliver said as he hung up and went to call Clark.
. . .
"Hey Oliver, what's going on?" Clark asked when he answered his phone.
"Lex is going to send someone to my apartment in an hour and I will be leaving so that the person can break in. I was hoping that you and Lois could catch the guy and question him. I think they will be suspicious if the Green Arrow is there when he arrives." Oliver said.
"Yeah, that would be suspicious. So, you want us to let him break in and then come in and detain him?" Clark asked.
"That is the plan. Do you think you can do it?" Oliver asked.
"Shouldn't be too hard. We will let you know what is going on once we question him." Clark said.
"Sounds good. I am going to get ready so that I can leave. You and Lois better get ready as well. I will talk to the two of you later." Oliver said as he hung up and went to get ready to leave the apartment.
. . .
An hour later, Oliver was leaving his apartment and he saw a man who looked suspicious watching him leave. Oliver just shook his head because he knew that this guy was walking into a trap and didn't even have a clue.
"Clark, the man is on his way up to the apartment. Let him get in and then take him down after he has a chance to look around a bit. Don't want anyone to think that this was a setup." Oliver said.
"We will be keeping a lookout and will act at the right time. Don't worry Oliver, Lois and I have this." Clark said.
"I swear, it is like he thinks we haven't done this before." Lois said with a roll of her eyes.
"Don't worry Lois. He knows that we will get the job done." Clark said.
"I know. So, let's do what we need to do and hopefully get everything we need to take down Lex for good." Lois said.
Not long after Oliver left the building the two Superheroes saw another man enter Oliver's apartment and they kept an eye on him. Little did the man know that where he was about to look for the device was protected by an alarm. The man opened the door and the alarm went off.
"Ok, give it a few minutes, then we go in and stop this man." Clark said and Lois nodded in agreement.
A few minutes later the two Superheroes flew into the apartment and stopped the man. They tied him to a chair and started to question him.
"Who are you working for and why are you breaking into Oliver Queen's apartment?" Superman asked.
"I won't tell you anything. If I do, he will kill me." the thief said.
"We have ways to get the information out of you. So, you can do it the easy way and answer Superman's questions, or you can not answer and I will be forced to get the answers in another way." Superwoman said.
"What are you going to do? You are a hero. You can't hurt me." the thief said.
"Want to bet?" Superwoman asked as she shot a ray of heat vision by the man's head.
This got the man's attention and he started shaking once he saw that Superwoman was serious, but he still didn't say anything. Superwoman then started shooting her heat vision at the floor between his legs and getting closer to his groin by the second.
"You better hurry up. I know you don't want to lose your favorite appendage." Superwoman said.
"Fine. It was Lex Luthor who sent me. He was after some device that can control someone. He didn't go into details about that though. He has been doing alot of stuff lately. Experimenting on people with powers and sometimes even killing them after experimenting on them for too long. He is as corrupt as they come. If I am going to live, I will need some protection now. He will kill me otherwise." the thief said.
"Thank you for all the information that we have been looking for a long time now. We will take you to the police and they will take it from here. If we find out that you told them something that you didn't tell us, we will find you and we will have to have this fun again. Do you understand?" Superwoman said.
"I think I am more scared of you then I am of Lex, so yes, I understand." The man said as Superman picked him up and took him to the police station for more questioning.
