It had been a few weeks since Lucy had moved in at the farm and she was becoming very good friends with Kara, since they were around the same age. The two of them would go out and see what was happening in Metropolis every now and then. Kara was to keep an eye on Lucy and make sure that she didn't go back to her old ways and for the most part they both behaved.
Kara and Lucy had also decided that they would enroll in Central Kansas University and take the same classes so that they could possibly go into the same career. On the first day of class they were getting ready for the professor to start the lecture when they saw two boys walk in that they thought were good looking.
"Hey, what do you think of those two guys that just walked in?" Lucy asked Kara.
"They are very good looking. What is your point?" Kara asked.
"Maybe we should flirt with them and see if they are into us." Lucy said.
"I don't know Lucy. It is hard to have a relationship with someone with me being the way that I am." Kara said knowing that Lucy would know what she meant being that she had been let in on the alien secret after her dad had left the farm.
"I understand, but why can't you get some of the blue k and use it so that you don't have powers when you are out on a date? That way you don't have to worry about hurting them and plus, you are a hot girl who deserves to go out on a date. If it starts getting real, then you can tell him the truth, but not until then." Lucy said.
"Ok, I will give it a try. It has been a long time since I have had a date. Probably since I was on Krypton. Actually, you kind of remind me of myself on Krypton. Not as much here though." Kara said.
"How so?" Lucy asked as she was intrigued by how Kara could be like her when she was on Krypton.
"I was a big flirt and I could get any of the guys that I wanted." Kara said.
"Well, after class let's see if you still got it." Lucy said as the girls stopped talking and the professor gave his lecture.
. . .
After class was over the girls started to talk about how they were going to flirt with the guys and see if the guys were interested. The plan seemed to work and they had dates for the coming weekend.
"That was easy. I usually have to work harder than that to get a guy to pay attention to me." Lucy said.
"I told you I used to do this all the time on Krypton. I guess I didn't lose that with all of the time I was frozen in my spaceship." Kara said.
"So, how many guys have you been out with in your lifetime?" Lucy asked.
"Not as many as you would think. I am not the kind of girl who just goes from one guy to the next. I would say I went out with maybe four or five guys on Krypton." Kara said.
"Ok, that makes me feel better. I've had around the same amount of boyfriends as you." Lucy said.
"That's good. I think we have a lot in common. I am glad that you decided to move in at the farm. Don't get me wrong, I love Clark and Lois, but they are older than me now and I don't exactly fit in with them all the time." Kara said.
"I am glad that I moved in too, and I know what you mean about not exactly fitting in with Clark and Lois, though I am happy that I am really getting to know my sister better now." Lucy said.
"I am happy about that as well. It is kind of how Clark and I were when he first found my ship. It took a while, but I got to know him and it really helped me to have a good relationship with the only family I have left." Kara said.
"I am glad that you have that as well. Let's go home. Lois is going to love the fact that we both have dates this weekend." Lucy said.
"I bet she and Clark are going to do something that scares the crap out of the boys when they come and pick us up on Saturday." Kara said.
"I think that is going to be Lois doing that. I can't see Clark acting like that and threatening someone." Lucy said.
"You might be right. Let's get home. We have some homework that we need to get done." Kara said as they both went and got into the car that the General had bought for Lucy when she decided to stay in Smallville and headed home.
. . .
Later that night when Clark and Lois got home from work and a quick patrol of the city they saw that Lucy and Kara were watching a movie. "I do hope that you did your homework before you started watching that movie." Lois said as she walked into the house.
"Of course we did mom." Lucy said with a smirk on her face.
"I am just looking out for you Lucy. So, anything interesting happen today?" Lois asked.
"Other than having a good day at school and two guys asking us out for Saturday night, not much." Lucy said.
"You two have dates for Saturday night? That's great." Lois said.
"I am just waiting for you to threaten them when they come to pick us up." Lucy said.
"I am not dad. I wouldn't do that. Although, maybe I can write up a list like dad used to always do for my boyfriends and make them clean up this house." Lois said.
"Don't you dare, Lois." Lucy said and her sister started to laugh.
"I won't Lucy. Like I said before, I am not going to be like dad." Lois said.
"Good. So, do you and Clark want to join us watching this movie? It just started, so we can rewind it if you want to join." Lucy said.
"I think that is a good idea. We could use some more family bonding time." Lois said as she sat down and Clark joined her not long after.
The group watched The Hangover and had fun laughing and talking about all of the dumb things that the guys did in the movie.
