After they were done telling stories that had happened over the last couple of years, the group got to the plan that would keep Zod and all of his followers from causing any trouble. Jor-El knew that the disc that he was holding was the key to that so he told them all what needed to happen.

"This disk will move Zod and all of his followers to another planet that they can live on peacefully. If Zod wants to rule, he can do it there." Jor-El said.

"How do we know that this won't take us as well? I mean we are all Kryptonians after all." Lois asked.

"We don't know that for sure. That is why we will go with Kal-El's plan when it comes to that." Jor-El said.

"Mind sharing with the class Smallville?" Lois asked.

"We should all have a piece of blue kryptonite on us when we activate the disc, but it will render us powerless, therefore it will not take us." Clark said.

"Sounds good. So, where do we find this kryptonite?" Kara asked.

"It is all over Smallville, but lucky for me, I have some stashed away. Never know when you might need something to stop myself or another kryptonian from doing anything that will hurt people." Clark said and Kara nodded knowing that what he was saying was true.

"Ok, so if we are powerless, that will leave us on earth right?" Lois asked.

"That is the way that it should work. I can't promise that it will though. It is our only shot though." Clark said.

"When are we planning on going through with this plan?" Kara asked.

"I think we need to do this as soon as possible. The longer we leave Zod here, the closer he gets to possibly gaining his powers along with the rest of his followers. We can't let that happen." Jor-El said and the rest of the team nodded in agreement.

Clark went out to the barn and picked up all of the blue kryptonite that he had and pasted it out to all of them. Once that was done, they went over the plan one last time and then they left for the fortress to hopefully make sure that Zod and his people were no longer a problem for earth.

. . .

They all went to the caves in Smallville and used the portal to get to the fortress. Jor-El and Lara looked around at the beauty of the place and knew that this was the closest thing to their home that they had now. Clark went up and asked his father for the disk. Jor-El and Clark walked up to the panel and then looked back at their friends and family before looking at each other and then deciding that it was time to insert the disk.

Before they could do it though, Lara stepped forward and said, "Hold on for a minute. Don't you think we should maybe give Zod a chance to change his ways before we do this. I know he might not change his mind, but some of his followers might and I don't want to send them away unless we absolutely have to."

"You make a good point, Lara. Do you know how to get in touch with Zod, Kal-El?" Jor-El asked.

"Not really. He lured us out last time." Clark said.

"Well, I guess we'll just have to wait for that to happen again. Until then we keep this plan in the back of our mind until we know for sure it is what needs to be done." Jor-El said and the team nodded.

"I guess this means we are headed back home then. Damn, I was really looking forward to seeing Zod's smug ass transported somewhere else." Lois said.

"I have a feeling that is going to happen either way Lois. Just be patient." Clark said as the team went to go back to Smallville.

. . .

Meanwhile, a group of people was meeting in an old abandoned warehouse on the edge of Metropolis. "I still don't understand why Kal-El, Kara Zor-El, and this other girl have powers and we do not." Zod said.

"I don't understand it either sir. The only explanation that I have is that somehow Jor-El must have made it so that we couldn't get powers under the yellow sun, which means that if we can somehow turn the sun red, we might be able to get our powers." the man said.

"Well, you and the other scientist need to get to work on that as soon as possible. The sooner we get our powers the sooner we can rule this planet." Zod said and the other man just nodded as he went to find people to work for him on this project.

"So, you are still trying to find a way for all of us to get powers?" a woman asked.

"Yes, I am Faora. It is our right to have those powers." Zod said.

"Why don't you just get out in the world like the rest of us. We can live peacefully here and there is no need for war anymore." Faora said.

"Don't be stupid. There is always a need for war. Once these humans find out that we are not like them, they will come after us. We can have that happen, and it won't happen if we take care of this now." Zod said.

"I don't think these people are as bad as you are making them out to be. I think that we can trust them and if we decide to try and fit in with them, we might even learn to live a life here without any violence at all." Faora said.

"Fine. You go out and take your followers. If you find that everything is going bad, I will take you back into our ranks." Zod said and Faora left the room to go and round up her followers and left.

"Well, that went better than I thought. I never thought he would let us go." Faora said to herself as she walked down the hall to get her things and also some of her friends and family so that they all could forge their own path now that they were now free to live their lives the way that they wanted to.
