It had been a few months since the heroes had decided to let the building that would turn the sun red to be built completely. Faora had also sent a mole inside of Zod people so that they would know when the building was complete and then they would know when it was about to become operational. The building was coming along very fast. It should be completely built by the end of the next month or so.
Clark and Lois were doing a story on the new building and they had to make it seem like they didn't know what it was for when they went to interview Zod about what the building would bring to the city.
"So Kal-El, you and your partner are here to do an interview about my new building. I hope you will be unbiased in your writing." Zod said.
"We aren't two of the best reporters in the city for nothing. We always write unbiased articles or we would be out of a job." Lois said.
"I like her, Kal-El. She is a feisty one." Zod said with a smile.
"You aren't telling me anything new." Clark said with a smile as well.
"So, what is it that you two want to know?" Zod asked.
"Well, the biggest question we have is, what will this building do to help the city? From what we have heard so far, it has something to do with clean energy." Lois said.
"That is correct Ms. Lane. This building will take the sun rays in and transform it into clean energy that will hopefully at some point be able to reach the whole city. That way you will not have to rely on coal and all of the things that people use now to power the city." Zod said.
"That is a good plan. I hope that it works out. The city could really use something like that." Lois said.
"I am just here to give back to this city. It has been so welcoming since I put down roots here." Zod said and Lois and Clark both nodded as they continued to take notes.
"Is there anything else that the building can do?" Clark asked.
"No, not really. I am just building it so that the city will have access to clean energy that will be cheap." Zod said.
"There is not much more we need to know. Thank you for your time, Zod." Lois said as she turned off her recorder.
"Ok. Now you can ask the questions that you really want to ask." Zod said knowing that this was all for show when it came to Clark and Lois.
"What is the building really for?" Clark asked.
"It will turn the sun red and then my people will finally have their powers and we will take over this planet." Zod said.
"I was hoping to be able to talk you out of all of this, but it looks like that will be hopeless." Clark said.
"This planet needs a leader who will do what is right for it. As you can see Kal-El, this planet is on the same path that Krypton was before it was destroyed. The only way to stop it is to take over this world and make them see the error of their ways. I am hoping that you, Kara, and Lois will join us." Zod said.
"I will never become a part of this Zod, and I won't let you hurt this planet." Clark said.
"Well, I guess we are at an impasse then. You were destined to stand at my side, but if you get in my way, I will have no choice but to kill you." Zod said.
"Good luck with that. I guess we will see you when it is time for us to save the planet again." Lois said.
"Looking forward to it. I might just have to keep you around once all of the House of El is gone." Zod said to Lois, which had her about ready to attack him.
Clark grabbed Lois' arm to keep her from doing something stupid. He didn't like what Zod said either, but they had to keep their cool because if they did anything to Zod, no one would take their word when it came time for them to print the truth about Zod's building.
"I think that is all we need for now. Thanks for your time Zod." Clark said as he dragged a pissed off Lois out after him.
"I really don't like him, Clark. Can't we just send him away already. Everyone that needs it already has the blue k. What are we waiting for?" Lois asked.
"I need to find a way to talk to the people that are still following Zod. I might be able to talk some of them into turning against Zod. I don't want to send them away when they might want to live a life here instead of going to another planet." Clark said.
"Why do you have to have all of the wisdom? I know you are right. I just hate that we have to wait." Lois said.
"Don't worry about it Lois. This will all be over before you know it." Clark said with a smile.
"I hope you are right. I just hope that something bad doesn't happen between now and then." Lois said.
"It won't. So, how about we go back to the office and type this story up. I am glad that you left the recorder on when we started asking the real questions. That way we have proof of what Zod is really up to." Clark said.
"Thank you superspeed, because I really did have to turn it off, so that he wouldn't be suspicious." Lois said with a smile.
"I told you that it comes in handy all the time." Clark said and Lois nodded as they started to make their way back to the Daily Planet to work on their story.
They would keep the part out about taking over the world for now. That would be for later, when the building gets destroyed. Zod would be trying to make the heroes look bad and the information that they have would turn the people back to their side once it was released.
