Maken-Ki Learning the Truth of Jack the Ripper
"Okay, so let me see if I got this right. The four not only skipped class yesterday, but you also ended going some wacky dangerous thing that involves dangerous terrorist and cyborgs, and almost got killed in battle with a crazy bitch that has a similar weapon to that of our Maken! Not to mention Raiden also happens to be some kind of secret spy sent by the government, did I miss anything else?!" Minori asked yelling shock and angry at Raiden, Chacha, Kimi, and Azuki as they are sitting on the couch.
And among them are the rest of the Maken-Ki members are within the principal's office along with Gen and Aki, the members were really worried when they friends didn't come for class all day yesterday and wanted to hear what happened to them. When Raiden's group came back, they gathered around showing concern though got scolded by Furan for being extremely late for class and glad that they're okay. They were surprised that they brought Mistral to the academy ground which they promised to explain what happened.
Which brings us to the office at this very moment.
"Yeah, that's about sums it up." Chacha nodded and flex her bandage covered right arm, but flinch in pain.
"We're really sorry for worrying you guys." Kimi apologized.
"The important thing is you guys are okay, but I'm still surprise for the fact that Raiden is some kind secret agent hitman." Kengo gasped.
"That just how my life has been ever since I was little." Raiden said.
"What I'm even more shocked that Gen knew about him the entire time and didn't think to trust his friends to tell us." Minori glared at Gen.
"Hey, it's not that I don't trust you guys. It just that I was under orders not to say anything while Raiden was here for his mission." Gen shrugged.
"And what mission was that exactly, if you don't mind me asking?" Yuuka asked curiously.
"Well, since you guys are going to be involve with our affairs, we might as well tell you." Raiden said before pulling out a device placing it on the table and hologram video stream showing Boris, Doktor, Kevin, and Courtney.
"Hello, Maken-Ki, I wish this meeting was more friendly than I had hope." Boris greeted.
Takeru has just been quiet for a while staring at Raiden, feeling angry at him that he has been some kind of killer the entire time before coming to Tenbi and have been dealing with cyborgs that were once people and he had to kill them to complete his missions.
"I know it must be hard to accept what I do for living isn't easy to accept." Raiden said noticing how Takeru has been staring at him.
"More like fucking NO WAY I can accept the fact you've been doing dangerous missions that involves killing others even if their cyborgs! What if those guys have families they want to go back home to, things they never got to go, and not to mention to they were innocent lives just being dragged against their will!" Takeru shouted and grabs Raiden by the collar of his shirt for a face up close.
"Takie, please calm down!" Haruko tried to pull Takeru away.
"How can I be calm when I just found out one of my friends is an assassin for a secret government group and only came to Tenbi just for a stupid mission." Takeru yelled in rage.
"If you're gonna be mad at someone, then you might as well be mad at me too since I'm also the outside member of the group." Gen pointed his thumb at himself.
"And you might as well blame us too since we're also involve in it." Kevin shrugged.
"But you have to know that what we do may not seem heroic or sane to most, the jobs we do are risky, and they could get us killed. But even so, we never back down from it because we know we can help so many people that they wouldn't have to suffer through." Courtney believed.
"That's right, we know what we were getting ourselves into and there are things that might scared us, but we stand together and took on the odd jobs with no fear in our hearts." Doktor nodded.
Takeru wanted to yell at them more for the kinds of secret crap they do, but he didn't because of how calm and rational they're being as they know full well of the kind of jobs they've been doing, it also looks like they always have each other's backs like any good friends. He looks back at Raiden whose expression hasn't changed and see the strong determination in his eyes, the kind of eyes that would see his goal through to the end through and through even if it meant he would die in the end.
"Okay, I'm starting to see that. Sorry." Takeru apologized as he lets go of Raiden.
"It's fine, you have every right to be angry like that. To be honest, from the way I got dragged into that kind of life before I even met Boris was not a pleasant one." Raiden looked at his fist clutching it tightly.
"If you don't mind, I would like to hear how exactly you were forced into the life of bloodshed." Mistral smirked, finally taking after the whole time she was brought to Tenbi Academy.
"Oh, look who finally decided to talk." Minori stared at Mistral annoyed.
"I just thought me speaking so soon would be pointless, that is until I figure Raiden would get to revealing about his past." Mistral winked at Raiden which annoys the three girls who fought her.
"Well, you all might as well get comfortable because what I'm about shivers down your spine." Raiden said.
"Are you sure you want to tell the tale? I know talking about your past can be hard on ya, I can tell them if you want." Boris offered.
"Thanks, Boris, but it's best that I want to be the one to tell them and I want to the one to tell since I'm the one who agreed to go along with this mission to begin with." Raiden turned down the offer.
"I also want to hear what Mr. Lightning man has to say about himself." Himegami said.
"Well, looks like you got yourself a big audience." Kimi commented.
Raiden looks around seeing the members of Maken-Ki, Principal Minori, and Aki as they are ready to hear his story of how he walked down the path of bloodshed as he can already tell that they were shocked of how he did with the mission on the other country with Azuki, Chacha, and Kimi were dragged along with by accident. He's not entirely sure of how they're going to react once they listen the whole story about himself, but during his time in Tenbi Academy that these guys hold strong bonds and would do whatever it takes to keep it safe.
"(Well, here goes nothing.)" Raiden thought sighed.
"It all started when I was a little kid, me and my parents were on a little family vacation trip to New York City though we only got one day in the fun before they were killed by terrorist." Raiden started his story, remembering that day like it was yesterday.
"Were you going to see the American's comic books to see if they're just as good as the Japanese mangas?" Kimi asked excitingly curious.
"Kimi, be more sensitive on when someone is talking about his past." Furan scolded.
"This girl really loves manga, does she?" Kevin asked.
"Never got the chance… we were caught in a big explosion and by the time I woke up, my parents were already dead, and I was injured really badly." Raiden said, remembering how he saw the corpses of his parents.
"I was rescued by this one man who took me to one crazy hospital that managed to heal my body up, I don't remember much about it though I think I saw some green glowing stuff almost like the color of our element." Raiden tried to recall that moment when he woke up.
"Do you it could be Ability Users healing Raiden?" Aki guessed.
"Probably, if a normal doctor could heal a person quickly like that then it's no doubt an Ability User." Minori believed.
"Well, in any case the man who rescued by was named George Sears though that is just a fake name he goes by when his real name is Solidus Snake and… He's the guy who killed my parents." Raiden revealed shocking everyone.
"What the fuck…?! What could have hoped to accomplish with keeping you alive and leaving your parents for dead!" Kengo gasped.
"Sounds to me like he saw some potential in you that he wants for himself." Yuuka guessed.
"And his wants to turn that potential into becoming a killer." Uruchi seconded that.
"That's right, all he wanted was to make the perfect killing machine for his own private army with me being the commander and he started my training at the age of six." Raiden mentioned.
"Ouch, even I didn't start my martial art training that young." Takeru flinched him his spine.
"The training he put me through was like Hell for the past four years and after some time I turned 10 years old, I became the solider he wanted me to be." Raiden rubbed his left arm remembering the painful training sessions he survived.
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot the mention that Solidus Snake named me Jack, it was the name I had before being called Raiden." Raiden mentioned.
"I see, so along the way you got the name "Jack the Ripper" when you started killing those fuckers on any enemies that grumpy old man sent you to kill." Mistral started to figure out most of it.
"That's right, I don't know started the rumor nor do I give a damn about how they made from the old England story. Words just start spreading around about me and people have feared the modern Jack the Ripper, and throughout those times I just gotten use to killing like it was no big deal, but I guess deep down I also thought all of this was wrong in some ways." Raiden looked at his hands, remembering the people he killed.
"You also mentioned that you fought cyborgs before, I didn't think our world has become that advance." Inaho surprised.
"Yeah, cybernetic has been going around for quiet a while and some men signed up thinking it could help him paid big time." Courtney said.
"Of course, filthy men would try going for the easy way just to make their life easy." Furan disgusted of those men.
"That maybe true to some, but the others probably didn't know what they were signing up for and by the time they figured it out. It was already too late for them to back down; they probably have some program to end their life in case they try to turn tail." Kevin added.
"It's like I told the girls yesterday during the mission, the best way we can do for those helpless guys is by giving them peace in death and chase after the guys to avenge their humanity." Raiden stated.
"Yes, and we also collected some valuable data to see what the enemies have to see if we can use it against them and use it in a better for help others." Doktor added.
"They even have the Japanese government's permission to have at least one or few Ability Users into the group which why they came to me being the Maken blacksmith and another one we knew back in our high school days." Gen smirked.
"Another Ability User we know?" Aki confused.
"Yeah, don't you guys remember? He came from a family of samurais and always the type to just have some fun no matter what, he was also Tomika's ex-boyfriend." Gen mentioned to Aki and Minori.
"Huh?!" Both older women gasped with their breasts bouncing in response.
"Uh, do you ladies wanted to tell us who this guy you're talking about?" Takeru asked as the other students are confused too.
"Oh yeah, this guy is Samuel Rodrigues! I also had an awesome nickname that I'll admit it better than mine, Jetstream Sam!" Minori smirked exciting.
"Even I heard of Jetstream Sam, his strength is said that he can cut two skyscapes in one swing and has taken on powerful Metal Gears too." Mistral remembered hearing those rumors.
"I wonder how he's been doing after all the time; we haven't heard a single word from him after all these years." Aki smiled.
"I'm sure he would be happy to hear you girls again, but I'm afraid you won't be able to reach him." Gen said with a sad look in his eyes.
"Uh, what do you mean?" Minori asked.
"I mean, Sam is dead." Gen revealed shocking the two women.
"What? He's dead?!" Minori gasped.
"Yeah, I'm sorry I had to tell you this myself when it actually happened a while ago before school years started." Gen looked down and feeling sad that his friend has died.
"No, not Same!" Aki refused to believe this, but she can tell that Gen is telling the truth and now she would never get to see one of her former classmates ever again.
"I know how Sam was to you all back in the days, and we gave him a proper funeral on the battlefield where he died like a true warrior." Boris mentioned sad and proud at the same time.
"Yeah, Sam did say he wanted to be buried like that…" Minori sighed and planted her face with her hands then she realizes something.
"Whoa, oh man, I can't believe I didn't see it before." Minori laughed a little and pointed at Raiden's sword.
"That sword you got, it's Sam's Maken, isn't it?" Minori chuckled.
"That's right, to be honest I'm more surprise that Sam actually went to Tenbi Academy and knew you guys, that would also mean he was a member of Maken-Ki." Raiden figured out.
"Yes, he was a good friend of ours though you could say he was the troublesome student probably more so than Minori." Aki mentioned.
"I'm surprise you didn't even ask him that he went to the same school as I have." Gen said to Raiden.
"I just assumed he went to a normal high school and been feared by others because of his ridiculous brute strength and love of swordsmanship." Raiden shrugged.
"Oh yean, Raiden never heard about Tenbi Academy before." Kevin remembered.
"How could you not have heard where the Ability Users go where they wouldn't get shunned and being treated outcast." Himegami raised an eyebrow at him.
"I was just too busy with my missions." Raiden said.
"Anyway, it was actually Sam who rescued me from being Snake's solider and helped me gain the freewill within my soul. If it wasn't for him then I probably would still be Jack the Ripper." Raiden clutched his hand.
"Hey Raiden, you should probably tell them how exactly did you unlock your element power too." Gen mentioned.
"Well, it was during a mission with Sam when we were being bodyguards of the prime minister of an African unnamed country. We were ambushed by an enemy and fought the Metal Gear they brought, but in the end, we couldn't protect the prime minister." Raiden glared.
(Flashback)
Raiden is seen lying on the ground in pain with one hand over his now scared right eye bleeding like crazy while the man Sam is covered in more cuts on his body and barely alive, he is approached by a cybernetics man wearing a black metal mask.
"Hehe, this is what happens when naïve idiots like keeping on believing that power can save lives." The man mocked.
"Sam…" Raiden tried to get up but couldn't.
Sam didn't look like he was fearing his approaching death, he just smiles and put his sword back into his crimson blade Maken into the sheath and threw it at Raiden.
"Raiden, it is up to you of what you wish to do with your life from this point forward." Sam smirked.
"Once you free that sword from its sheath, what happens then it's up to you, Raiden. Only you can decide that fate." Sam said.
The evil man just laughs at the final words of Jetstream Sam and ended his life right in front of Raiden's working eye as he is shocked that his mentor and father-like figure is gone, it was then Raiden screams in rage as suddenly powerful lightning emits from his body.
(Flashback End)
"That was how I got my element and this Maken." Raiden looked at his reflection on the sword he inherited from Sam.
"I vowed to catch the bastards who took Sam from this world and make sure they feel our justice." Raiden promised.
"And you'll have us right besides you!" Takeru promised, being really mood of the story.
"Then we got a lot of work to do, and I hope our new "friend" would tell us what she knows." Boris turned the screen towards Mistral.
"I did give them my word in the dueling ceremony vow." Mistral chuckled.
Raiden smiles as he is glad to have friends like them though pray, they would be ready for the kind of work they'll be getting themselves into now.

Raiden and the others on the secret team have revealed themselves to Maken-Ki giving them the story about Raiden's past and how he got his element unlock and the Maken he inherited from. Now Maken-Ki just needs to get themselves ready for more dangerous adventures that may happen outside of school.
