Disclaimer: I don't own Harry potter or Bleach. They are the property of J.K. Rowling and if I remember correctly, Tite Kubo.
Yeah, so Harry's display of concussive telekinesis was not appreciated by his relatives. Hagrid seemed to think it was neat though. Regardless, the end result was the giant and the Dursleys having a shouting match about whether Harry would go to Hogwarts, with the Dursleys finally giving up, but not without saying they wouldn't provide money. Hagrid was seemingly okay with this, as was the Quincy, though no one could figure out why if they noticed.
The two of them stayed the night, then left taking the small rowing boat used to get to the island. From there the duo headed into London, because apparently that's where wizards hide from the public.
"Hey Hagrid?" asked Harry.
"Yes Harry?" Hagrid replied.
"We're going to pick my school stuff up right?"
"Yes, that's right."
"So why are we walking down some random high street in London for items that I assume can't be bought at normal stores?"
"Of course you can find your Hogwarts gear in London, if you know where to look," Hagrid answered, tapping his nose conspiratorially before walking towards a dingy pub, with a sign saying 'the leaky cauldron'.
As they entered the building, Harry noticed a few things. First, the lighting was shit, caused by the only sources of illumination being candles. Second, everyone was wearing medieval looking robes, like they just came back from a renaissance fair. The last, but most important, was the pressure! How these people didn't notice it Harry didn't know, but it came from everything, the level of reiatsu being enough that if Harry hadn't been prepared for it his legs would have buckled. Admittedly most of the power was coming out the back and to the left but seriously, how had a hollow not attacked!?
"Hello there Hagrid, in for the usual?" greeted a man from behind the bar. He was odd in that he was missing all his teeth.
"No thanks Tom, I've got to help Harry here with his Hogwarts shopping," Hagrid replied. The now named Tom took one look at Harry and his jaw dropped.
"Bless my soul… it's Harry potter!" At this exclamation everyone in the pub turned to look at the entering duo. There was a moment of silence, before everyone jumped up and rushed towards Harry.
Naturally this surprised the Spirituality aware child, to the point where Harry's body reacted before his mind could, sinking into his shadow and stepping out by the back door. It took a few seconds, but Harry got his breathing under control. Then, making eye contact with the ever so slightly panicking Hagrid, Harry gestured to the door before going through it.
This led him to the back alley. A few moments later, Hagrid came through with a bemused look on his face. "How'd you do that Harry?"
Not wanting to reveal his nature as a Quincy, Harry decided to go for a simple half truth. "I've been able to shadow gate as I call it since I was seven. Anyway, how do we get to the place with my supplies?"
Topic successfully diverted, Hagrid took out his umbrella and tapped a specific pattern on the brick wall to the left of the backdoor. The bricks folded back, creating an archway through which laid a cobbled road filled with people.
Honestly it looked like a steampunk convention but without the actual technology. Everyone was wearing robes, and at the far end of the alley there was a white marble bank. It would have been impressive to Harry, if it weren't for the casual conversation going on around him.
"Welcome to diagon alley," Hagrid proclaimed proudly. "Come on then. First stop, Gringotts, the wizarding bank!"
As he followed the large man, Harry noticed three things strange with their destination. Firstly, the odd entities guarding the building. They were short and stocky, with green hued skin and mostly bald heads, and were wielding halberds. Second was that the building was tilted, like it could collapse any moment. Third was the poem discouraging theft above the door. The last one wasn't exactly strange, merely an interesting countermeasure.
"They're goblins, Harry. Not the nicest of creatures, but they run the bank." Hagrid explained, noticing the Potter's gaze. Soon they were at the head counter. The goblin stayed counting the gems on its desk for a minute before giving up on ignoring the people at his desk.
"What do you want?" The being, Rotclaw by his name plate, asked boredly.
We're here to access Harry potter's trust vault," Hagrid replied casually, "And I was told by Dumbledore to collect you-know-what in vault you-know-which."
"Key," the goblin ordered. The half giant replied by taking a golden key out of his pocket (was that his?) and handing it to Rotclaw, who verified that it was real and handed it back. Then while Hagrid passed the key to Harry (so it was his! Neat,) Rotclaw summoned another goblin.
"Griphook will show you to your vaults, now leave me to do something actually important." Rotclaw announced, before going back to counting and weighing small gems. The last Potter wondered if any of them would work as a good base for his Seele Schneiders, crystals were supposed to make great energy refractors after all. Or maybe that was just sci-fi.
Following the second goblin the duo moved to a mine cart and got in, the safety bar dropping after entry.
So as it turned out goblins are either sadists or adrenaline junkies, because their method of vault to vault transport was a breakneck speed rollercoaster. Still, after discovering that his parents were apparently pretty wealthy before the whole getting murdered thing Harry was ready to get his school stuff and go home. That was, at least, until he noticed that the item Hagrid collected was radiating reiatsu.
Worst case scenario it was some sort of physical equivalent to the Hogyoku, which would be pretty bad actually. After all, even if the concept of the Hogyoku was fiction, he was proof that Bleach had some level of truth to it. Soul King knows what would happen if Aizen existed in some form and became aware of whatever that package was.
On a much less serious note was the amusing number of fiction books in which he was the main character. They were obviously made by someone who didn't have the slightest idea what he looked like, displaying him as much shorter, in baggy robes and round glasses with a short rat's nest for hair.
The trip to Ollivander's was serious in a less ominous way than the mysterious package, closer to being solemn while maintaining the sense of magic. The inside of the shop was dusty, shelves stacked high with books and small wooden drawers. The rest of the surfaces in the room were covered in these volumes and boxes, but the establishment's namesake was nowhere to be found.
"Ah, Mr Potter and Rubeus Hagrid," a voice suddenly rang out from behind the pair. Harry flinched and spun round, flicking his wrist to swing the cross up and manifest his Heilig Bogen against… an old man who was seemingly blind, "I've been wondering when you would get here." The youngest there lowered his arm lamely once more glad that Hagrid seemed as dense as they came.
The silvery eyes locked onto Harry for a moment, scanning his form and in particular his Quincy cross, before walking to the back to retrieve something. In the meantime Hagrid went out to get something, saying he'd be back by the time Harry had his wand.
"You have your mother's eyes," Ollivander stated as he walked to the counter and set down some boxes. "I remember her in here buying her first wand. Willow, ten and a quarter inches long, nice for charms. Your father on the other hand favoured a mahogany wand, eleven inches, a tad higher power and excellent for transfiguration."
He turned to look at Harry. "You, however, I suspect will be a touch more interesting. After all, never have I made a focus that combines the abilities of a wizard and a quincy!"
The boy grinned. "I was right, you do know about the greater spiritual world. So how do I do this?"
And so began the next ten minutes. Harry tried wand after wand, but they didn't seem to work. The biggest reaction was from a holly and phoenix feather one, but that's because it exploded. Eventually they gave up and started talking about making a new focus, when Ollivander asked if Harry had anything magical that he was linked to.
The young Potter then took out a hollow mask fragment. "For some reason this stayed behind when I was dealing with a hollow a few months ago. I couldn't leave it for someone to pick up, so I kept it with me. Reckon you could tie it to whatever you make along with my cross and ginto capsules to give me access to the shinigami's Konso?"
Ollivander looked giddy at being able to work with homemade quincy gear and hollow reiatsu. "I'm certain my friend Kisuke and I will be able to whip something up."
As Harry was reeling from the revelation that he was getting an equipment upgrade from Kisuke Urahara of all people, Hagrid got back with a snowy owl.
A month later, Harry was in his room reading a book on nuclear reactors and the science behind them with his owl (he'd named her harribel) there was a tapping at the window. Looking at it, he saw there were two owls carrying a hefty package and so let them in and gave the pair some treats as thanks.
Opening the letter on top, Harry's face broke into a massive grin.
To Mr Harry Potter,
Hello there little Quincy! When my old friend contacted me about a project I was intrigued, but when he said that it was for a wizard using homemade quincy gear and a hollow mask fragment, he had my full attention! Your work was truly remarkable with what resources you had, especially the ginto. Those were unusually efficient in particular, what with them being made of clay.
However, it seems you were due an upgrade for a while, so consider this a gift. Or don't, those capsules were just a tad too large for what we ended up making. So let me give you a bit of a walk through on how the Sechs-Punkte-Geist-Armschienen is going to be your new best friend…

Hello there, I have finally gotten around to making chapter three! My apologies, but I haven't posted anything due to several reasons. First college hit me over the head when two of the three subjects I'm doing transferred over to coursework for this term, then I had the idea for one week one shots, which I have plans for. They'll both be harry potter ones just so I don't fuck up my schedule watching and rewatching a series for things I missed or haven't caught up on, and they'll be back to back, maybe a day or two late at most over the holidays. All I'll say is that you won't believe the resonance these two avatars of power have with their abilities, fully bringing the fire in a limitless show of force. Have fun figuring out which two powers I'm using from that sentence. Bear in mind two words could work together or apart.
The third reason is just that I procrastinated, not particularly wanting to do it. I had posted the first chapter almost as a joke, this silly idea that wouldn't get out of my head. I posted the second chapter basically because I felt it could go anywhere and that annoyed me. I love options but not when there's enough to give someone a headache.
The final reason was because I've been looking into writing an actual, original hidden fantasy book. Or as original as you can get these days. I've spent the last week in particular trying to get into good writing habits, fleshing out the lore behind the power system and all that. Unlike Geomystic's rock and earth magic from my second OWOS this one will be more grounded, ironically enough. It will be based around nuclear physics, fission and fusion in particular, and have very real consequences if overused or used wrong.
Anyway, about the chapter. Due to being written in a bunch of tiny sections, most of it was rather eclectic. The part I'm most happy about, however, was the last section or so. I had toyed with the idea of Ollivander knowing Jugram as opposed to Kisuke, but then I remembered this is at least a smidgeon crackfic-y so I thought 'eh, why not?' Thank you to the person who suggested using spirit components for Harry's focus, as that got a really good idea going once I thought of it. For those curious, his focus' name roughly translates to six point spirit bracer. The reason why will be explained later, and the description will be given next chapter, which I'll only begin after the holidays and the one shots.
As for the idea of a bleed-over effect, I have a plan. I want to make Harry and his friends a sort of inverse to Ichigo's group in canon. Harry will get his powers over time, as will his group. Where they differ however is that each of them will be capable of several things. Every member of the main bleach squad was essentially very good at one thing, chad is strong and punches good, orihime heals, uryu provides mid to long range attack, rukia on 'magic' and sword technique and ichigo acts as the close to mid range powerhouse.
My group would have everyone be good but not great at all of those things, and then have an area where they shine. Rukia is the closest of the Ryoka to doing that with her kido expertise but still. I want their true power to shine from working as a team, or from combining skills they learn or have innately for exponentially more devastating effects. To see a great example of this I recommend blessed with a hero's heart, it's an MHA konosuba crossover.
But uh, that's about it, see you in the next one!
Ja ne!
