JSDF, the armed forces of Japan are looking for new ways to defend their country. Inside a military near Mount Fuji, the general of the JSDF: Hajime Tojo is sitting in his office reading reports of an experiment. Two years ago, an American scientist left the US taking notes of an experiment that involved Gamma radiation that was said to have created the Hulk.
He moved to Japan and gave it to the general in exchange for being in charge of the project which he agreed to. General Tojo places the papers down as he walks out and sees a huge capsule in the testing room. Next to the capsule is a terminal being worked on by the defecting scientist: Dr Erwin Serizawa, a young man with black wavy hair that reach his shoulders and brown eyes. Due to his dual citizenship thanks to his Japanese father and American mother he was able to leave the country fast and make it to the Land of the Rising Sun. Now here he is, in charge of an experiment that is said to be greater than the Manhattan Project and Thunderbolt Ross' Gamma Experiment.
Erwin stops once he feels something biting his jeans and looks down to see a black Corgi gnawing at his pants. "Awe! Come on Bruce. I told you not to disturb me while I'm working." He said though is not angry as he hugs and pets his dog. He knew that it was an odd request for the JSDF to go retrieve his dog but he made it clear that he will not help with the project if they don't get his best friend. He stops once he sees the general and stands to face him with a smile.
"General! Good to see you. You know being in your office for so long will hurt your health." He said carefree to the man in charge of him. The general sighs annoyed at this brat. No matter how many times he has been reprimanded or even yelled at, he still just goes along with the road without a care in the world.
"It would seem for a traitor of the US, you are still quite acting like an idiot Dr Serizawa." The general insults the Doctor who doesn't look offended. "Truly, I am scared that I am recreating the experiment that created Hulk."
The general however is undeterred. "This is why we are creating the Kaiju Project. If the Americans created Hulk with Gamma radiation then what happens if we use Nuclear radiation? We would have a Protector of Japan."
"What is this rumor I am hearing that you are going to use a gorilla?" Erwin ask with the general answering without any emotion in his voice. "We need animal testing."
The test will begin soon as the general and scientist are on the consoles and activate the capsule. However the door into the capsule was still open and Erwin's dog walks into the experiment which makes the doctor cries in shock. "Bruce! General stop the project!"
He runs into the capsule and grabs his dog and takes him out of the capsule. Just as he was about to leave, the door suddenly closes. The area glows green and he feels radiation coursing through him. "General stop it! Turn it off!"
"AAHH!" He screams as his skin is turning into scales and his body growing.
Meanwhile, Jessica Drew AKA Spider Woman is flying around Tokyo, watching the vibrant city. Fury sent her to the Land of the Rising Sun to find the scientist and stop any experiments that they are planning. 'One Hulk is enough for this world.'
She goes up to the highest point and lands on the Tokyo Tower. "Where is the facility?" She wonders as she feels vibrations.
"An earthquake?" But she sees Mt Fuji and the mountain breaking in half. A 335 ft reptile-like monster comes out of the crater with a roar. It has giant dorsal fins on it's back and sharp fangs.
"RRRRAAAAHHHH!" Spider Woman can hear it even miles away. The creature marches to the city and Jessica calls S.H.I.E.L.D.
"What is the situation Jessica?" Director Fury answers with a question.
"A giant freaking Kaiju is here Fury! Send Leopardon right now!" Jessica shouts as she sees Japanese military tanks firing missiles but it is taking no damage and just stomps on the tanks. Above the city and monster, the S.H.I.E.L.D Helicarrier appears from invisibility and opens the bottom and launches a giant mech to the ground. It is Leopardon: A mech S.H.I.E.L.D created to defend the world against giant villains like Fin Fang Foom and Galactus. Spider Woman is teleported into the mech and controls it. Leopardon runs to the monster and punches it in the face which angers it and bites into the robot's shoulder. Leopardon pushes it of him and holds it's hands out.
"Arm Rockets!" Spider Woman shouts and the robot arms fly and hit the monster. The force makes it fall to the ground and roars in pain. It gets up and turns around to tail whip the robot, making it almost crash into a building. She grabs it to stop the fall but the monster tackles her and crashes into the building. It looks at the down robot and inhales. The monster's fins glow blue and it's mouth fire a beam of energy.
"Spider Protector!" Jessica shouts as a shield appears and protects the robot. Leopardon gets up still holding against the attack. It stops it's breath and looks tired. She looks at the screen and is shocked after the beam of energy has been analyzed. "It's breath is atomic. Then I better defeat you before you recharge. Sword Vigor!"
A giant sword appears in Leopardon's hands and readies itself. The monster is breathing hard but it charges at the robot. Leopardon slashes the creature and it falls to the ground as gas comes off it's body. It dissipate and the monster is gone. Spider Woman exits her robot and glides to the ground. She finds a man that she knows. "Erwin?"
Erwin Serizawa is barely conscious and naked. Gone is his brunette hair, now has turn green. He opens his eyes to show reptile silt pupils. He shakingly raises his hand and can only say one word. "Help..."
The last thing he sees before blacking out is the woman on a communicator asking for a medic and evac.
Meanwhile General Tojo looks at the crater that Erwin become. The monster that was created impress him. A giant monster that would've destroyed Tokyo had it not been for a mech. One of his underlings salute and reports the status of the capsule. "Sir, it has been destroyed and it will take months to repair."
"What about the spare?" The general questions and the private nods. "It is functional and ready for use."
"Excellent, bring that gorilla to the capsule." He orders and the soldier goes to retrieve Kong.
