Chapter 5
Elijahs POV
I watched as they left. A part of me was worried for her, but the other half knew she could handle herself.
"She'a quite something, Marcel." Niklaus said watching her.
"Yeah she is. She's the one of the five that can kill something supernatural and destroy all they make." He explained.
"So we have to be nice to her, don't we?" Rebekah asked sighing.
"You should have already been nice to her in the first place." He said smirking. We sat back down at the table to eat. Every so often I would catch Marcel or myself looking at the gate awaiting their return.
"Marcel!" We heard someone yell. We looked up and saw Jake and Paul running in. Jake was carrying Isabella.
"What happened?" Marcel asked standing.
"There were three leeches. She got to the first one but got hit from behind by the second. He knocked her through a wall then when she started getting up he threw her across the alley. She lit them on fire before she passed out." Jake explained. Marcel cleared off the table so Jake could lay her down.
"Isabella come on." Marcel said touching her cheek.
"Why doesn't she have any injuries? Just bloody?" Niklaus asked looking her over.
"She can heal herself or others." Marcel said.
"What can we do, Marcel?" I asked standing on the other side of the table. He looked at me.
"She will need blood. My blood will do but it will be days before she's fully healed." He explained.
"Woa! Blood?" Jake asked.
"She needs stronger blood to heal?" Rebekah asked. Marcel nodded. I shrugged off my jacket and rolled up my sleeve, then bit into my wrist. Jake grabbed my arm stopping me.
"No. You're not giving her your blood." He said glaring.
"Unhand me before I break your arm." I told him.
"Jake if he doesn't feed her his blood she will take longer to heal." Marcel told him.
"She'll turn into one of them!" He growled.
"Only if she dies and we both know she cant." He hissed. I looked at his hand and he removed it. I brought my wrist to ther mouth and she started drinking it. We watched as her color slowly came back to her. My wrist healed and I moved away.
"Elijah, always the hero." Niklaus mocked.
"I didn't see you jumping in." I said rolling down my sleeve.
"Jake. Move her to her room." Marcel told the dog. He picked her up and took her to her room. Paul wasn't far behind him.
"Thank you Elijah." Marcel said holding out his hand. I took it and nodded.
"If you don't mind Marcel, I'd like to return tomorrow and check up on Isabella." I said. He nodded.
"Sure. I'll make sure you get past her two guard dogs." He said. I nodded ans we took our leave. We got home and walked inside.
"You like her brother. Always falling for another supernatural creature. At least this one can not die." Niklaus said as I entered my office.
"I was simply helping Marcel and the two Mutts save their friend." I argued.
"Sure." He answered. I glared at him as he walked away smirking. The next day I dressed causally and headed to Marcel's. He met me at the gate and walked me up to her room. Jake and Paul stood up as we entered.
"Down you two. He's not gonna hurt her." Marcel told them. They side stepped as I moved more into the room. I looked at her. She was curled up with a pillow asleep.
"How is she?" I asked them.
"She's okay. Weak but okay. She got up late last night, showered, changed, and got back in bed." Jake told me. I walked around the bed to face her. Paul nudged her foot.
"Mmm." She groaned. She stirred and opened her eyes slightly.
"Elijah." She mumbled. I knelt down and touched her cheek.
"Hello Isabella." I said. She touched my hand softly.
"Thank you." She grumbled.
'You are most certainly welcome." I told her. She smiled and groaned as she grabbed her head.
"Being nice hurts doesn't it Bella?" Paul teased her. She flung her hand out and he flew out the door. She rolled over and buried her head under the covers.
"We got food downstairs." Jake told her. She jumped up and grabbed her head again. I stood up and watched her.
"I'm starving. Ugh! Why is everything louder?" She said sighing.
"It's my blood. Our blood heightens all the senses." I explained to her.
"That's why Jake and paul stink." She scoffed. I smirked. She threw the covers off and got out of bed. I looked her over and admired the view. She was just in a pair of black underwear and a tshirt.
"That they do." I said smirking at Jake. She sighed and walked to the door as Paul walked in. She turned back to us.
"You three coming or what?" She asked us.
"You gonna put on some pants?" Paul asked her. She rolled her eyes and walked off. We followed after her. Marcel was sitting at the table waiting. He stood up and hugged her.
"Hey. How do you feel?" He asked her. She pulled away and sat down.
"I'm starved, Jake and Paul stink, and I have a headache." She said sighing. He handed her some medicine.
"Elijah, join us." He told me. I sat down beside her and across from Jake and Paul.
"I already explained to Isabella that our blood heightens the senses until its fully out of her system." I said.
"Thanks." He said nodding.
"Atleast this boyfriend can walk out in the sunlight and not sparkle." Paul told Isabella. I looked at her.
"Neither one of them are my boyfriend." She corrected.
"Not from the looks pretty boy here is giving you." He said looking at me.
"Jake control Paul before he is replaced with Jared." She growled. Jake looked at Paul and back at her.
"He does have a point bellsy." He said. She sighed and crushed the glass in her hand.
"Neither one of them are my boyfriends. Just cause I get certain looks and hang out certain species doesn't make them my boyfriend. They probably think the same when I'm around the dogs." She snapped angrily.
"Now she's even talking like them." Paul scoffed. She growled.
"Enough! The three of you calm down." Marcel said. Isabella sat back in her chair and flung both hands out. Jake and Paul flew backwards.
"Bells." Marcel said.
"Yes caleb would be giving me a lecture if he was here." She said sighing. I looked at them.
"Im sorry. Im lost." I said.
"Caleb, my brother, is like you. The nobleman. He doesn't like us using our powers to hurt people or to cause trouble. Or use them in general." She said grabbing a grape.
"But you're immortal correct?" I asked her.
"Yup. But he forgets that." She said. She dug into the food. I was surprised at how much she ate for a tiny girl. She had six pancakes, bacon, fruit, and yogurt. Awhile later my phone rung.
"Hello Niklaus." I answered.
"How's the little witch doing today brother?" He asked. She looked at me as she dranked her orange juice.
"Already throwing the pups aroudn the courtyard." I said smirking at her. Isabella laughed.
"Good. Bring her over, if she is willing to talk." He said.
"Talk about what?" She asked me. I forgot about the heightened senses.
"She will find out when she gets here." He said hanging up. She huffed and looked at me.
"Your brother is aggravating." She told me. I agreed and she went to get dressed.
"Ill bring her back safely Marcel. You have my word." I told him.
"She's perfectly fine taking vare of herself. But thanks for giving me your word." He said nodding. I heard Paul wolf whistle. We looked towards the stairs and I felt my heart stop. Isabella wore a dark blue dress, black combat boots, and a leather jacket. Her hair was braided neatly to the side.
"Ready Mr. Nobility?" She asked me. I nodded and extended my arm out to her. We walked out of the compund and to my car. We got in and headed off to the plantation.
