Chapter 6
Continuation of Elijahs POV
She was quiet as I drove towards my home.
"Why did you agree to come with me?" I asked her. She looked at me.
"Im hoping to spar with your brother again." She said smirking.
"Niklaus won't harm you unless hes threatened or trying to be threatening." I told me. She laughed.
"He wont be ableto harm me sweetheart." She said sitting back in the seat. Her dress rode up slightly and I got distracted for a moment.
"So confident for a witch." I said shaking my head.
"Where were you last night at dinner before I left? Hmm? Im the most powerful witch in the supernatural world dear. The witches here have to do spells to get what they want. Me? I can just flcik my eyes black and im all set." She said scoffing.
"Why are they terrified of you?" I asked.
"I am a Salem Witch, Elijah. All of us are powerful but me, I can kill anything I want and destroy their entire line of creation, I hold some of the most forbidden powers in our time, which is insane. Take Sophie for example, she tried to spell me and died without me touching her." She said huffing. I pulled into the driveway of the plantation and got out. She jumped out before I could grab the handle.
"You know its respectful for a man to open the car door for a lady?" I teased her.
"You took to long. You're getting slow in your old age, Mr. Vampire." She said winking. I smirked, grabbed her and pinned her the side of the house. She gasped and smirked up at me. Somehow she flipped us and pinned me. Her eyes were playful. The front door opened.
"Elijah already pissing you off love?" Niklaus asked walking out. She moved away and crossed her arms at him.
"Not yet. You wanted to talk huh? About what?" She said. He smiled and looked at me.
"Straight to the point brother. I like her. Lets talk inside, shall we?" He said motioning her in. We walked inside and headed into the living room.
"Well?" She asked looking around.
"I need a protection spell put on my house. I have unwanted guests that like to come in without an invitation." He said watching her.
"Really? That's all you needed? Seriously? One of your basic witches could have done that." She scoffed.
"Areyou not powerful enough for the spell?" He asked her. She raised her eyebrows and looked between us.
"You don't trust the witches here." She said smirking.
"No. I don't. They are backstabbing and untrustworthy." He said. I went to pour three glasses of bourbon.
"These witches, they are the ones you want to keep out huh?" She said nodding.
"Will you do it or not? Or do you not have the power?" He asked.
"Oh, I have the power dear. Why all of the suddent do you want to trust me?" She said walking to the window.
"Marcel and apparently my brother trust you." He answered. I looked at him.
"I havent said I trusted her." I told him.
"But you fancy her, no?" He asked looking at me. I glared at him and he smirked as I shoved a glass in his hand. She walked up to us.
"Its done. If you want another supernatural being to enter your house other than yourself, me or your brother, you will have to invite them in." She told him.
"No chanting? Candles? Sage?" He asked. She scoffed again and took my glass.
"Luckily I poured three." I said grabbing the other.
"You also have a spell that prevents others from hearing your conversations and seeing inside from the outside. You can see them but they cant see you." She said going back to the window.
"You thought of everything, love. I see why Marcel keeps you in hiding." He said sitting down. She hummed and downed the drink.
"Last night something caught my attention. Marcel said you could not die, how is that possible?" I said. That caught Niklaus' attention.
"Just like you we have a certain way to die. Yours, is the white oak stake, ours is giving up our powers." She answered. She tensed up.
"You have a cold one on your property. Ill be back." She said walking towards the door. She tossed me the glass, tossed off her jacket, and then she was gone. I looked at the glass.
"She's a marvelous creature, isnt she?" Niklaus asked.
"You've come to like her brother." I said sitting down the glasses.
"How can someone not? She is able to do spells no other witch can." He said amused. I looked at him.
"You just want Isabella for her powers." I said.
"Marcel said she's not from aorund here. We have to convince her to stay in New Orleans." He said tapping his finger on his glass.
"Niklaus!" we heard from the front door. We both walked to the door. Isabella stood there in a torn dress, ruffled hair, one shoe, and she held a shaking body in her hand.
"Invite him in." She growled.
"Come in, cold one." He said. She dragged the body in and into the living room. She threw the boy in a chair then grabbed his head.
"You will sit here, not moving, and be quiet until I say other wise." She compelled him. He nodded. She pulled back and turned to us.
"You can compel vampires?" Niklaus asked curiously.
"Yup. One of my powers. I did it on your brother the day before." She said nodding to me.
"No one can compel an original, Isabella." I told her. She smirked and stepped closer to us.
"Want to test that theory again sweetheart?" She asked. I smirked and looked at Niklaus.
"You haven't compelled me." I argued. She walked over and grabbed my head in her hands. I looked her in the eyes.
"Remember." She said. I remember the conversation she and I had, I grabbed her brush when her back was turned, left the room and she had me pinned to the wall compelling me. I blinked, I grabbed her by the neck and slammed her against the bookcase. She groaned.
"I don't appreciate being compelled." I growled at her. She kicked me across the room. I hit chair and stood up.
"And I don't appreciate trying to be killed by a witch or being slammed into a wall unless it involves sex." She growled in return.
"You are infuriating." I told her. She smiled and crossed her arms.
"I know. Its one of my perks." She said turning to the cold one.
"How is it that you came to know about cold ones, Isabella?" Niklaus asked her.
"How is it that being older than dirt, you don't know about them?" She asked him. He raised his eyebrows at her.
"Entertain us." He said. She eyed us carefully.
"Fine. After my brothers birthday, I was sent away for awhile. I met my ex boyfriend and his family, who happened to be cold ones." She said.
"What happened on his birthday?" I asked her.
"Not up for discussion." She answered. She went over to the cold one. I smelt blood on her.
"How is it that you can heal yourself?" I asked. She pulled out a necklace from around her neck.
"This necklace was kept hidden from our families came to me. It heals majority of wounds." She answered. She smiled at the cold one.
"You sure are cute. I would hate to kill you." She said running her finger down her arm.
"How do you expect to get him to talk?" Niklaus asked her.
"Slow torture." She said grinning at him. He smiled in return. A few hours passed and the cold one had not given Isabella her answers. Niklaus and I watched as she dragged him out front to the giant wood pile.
"No! No! Please! I'll do anything!" He cried.
"To late." She said. She ripped his head off and tossed him into the pile. His screams and a sickly sweet smell filled the house.
"She's irrational." I said sighing.
"She's esquiste." Niklaus said smiling. The screams died down and she returned inside.
"Sadly, he's the last cold one in New Orleans." She said crossing her arms.
"You look disappointed." Niklaus said.
"Yes because I was looking forward to a fight." She said sighing. He laughed.
"So your spells are done, is there anything else you need from me?" She asked.
"Got somewhere to be love?" He asked her.
"Maybe. We done or what?" She said smirking. He looked at me and I nodded.
"Yes, we are done little witch." He said nodding. She nodded and turned to leave. I watched her as she walked away. The small sway of her hips distracted me.
"Didn't you drive her brother?" Niklaus asked me. I removed my eyes from her.
"Right." I said following after her. She was standing at the door looking around the yard.
"Theres something else out there." She said looking everywhere.
"What is it?" I asked her.
"Not sure. Im going to go find out." She said unzipping her dress. I took in the shorts and tight tank top. My heart sped up as I looked her over.
"Do you always wear shorts and a tanktop under your dresses?" I asked her. She smiled and handed me her dress.
"One thing I learned from the wolves, always keep clothes handy." She said. Then she was gone. I sighed and walked back inside.
"Oh dear. Did she combust?" Niklaus asked me.
"No. Theres something else out there and she went to look at it." I said looking at the dress.
"Naked?" He asked.
"No. She had on shorts and a tank top." I said sighing. He nodded.
"You're attracted to her aren't you brother?" He asked me.
"Why would you think that?" I asked him.
"The way you look at her. Im no fool." He scoffed.
"Niklaus! Elijah! Why cant I get in?" Rebekah yelled from the front door.
"Sister! Do come in." He called out. She walked in and crossed her arms.
"Our lovely Isabella spelled the house so no univited guests would come in." He explained.
"Isabella? What did she combust?" She asked picking up the dress. Isabella walked in then.
"No. I didn't find what I felt so, ill grab the guys and come back later." She said sighing. Rebekah seemed nervous around her.
"Isabella, what are your plans for tomorrow night?" Niklaus asked her. She crossed her arms and looked at him.
"Why?" She asked.
"I was wondering if you'd like to have dinner with me." I jumped in.
"No." She told me.
"Excuse me?" I asked her.
"You heard me. Only reason you asked me was because he was gonna ask. Only reason he was going to ask was to get a reaction out of you. Im not a game toy boys. Enjoy your evening everyone." She said. She grabbed her things and left.
"Now I see how it all begins. Atleast this one is smarter than that." Rebekah said walking away. I wanted to go to Isabella and apologize but I knew to give her space.
