Chapter 9

Bellas pov

The next morning I woke up and dressed for the day. I decided to leave my hair down, wear a pair of ripped jean shorts, a tank top, and a pair of wedges. I was scrolling through messages on my phone when I felt someone at the door. I didn't look up. I already knew it was Elijah. I felt his eyes roam my body as he stood there.

"Take a picture, it will last longer Elijah." I told him.

"I don't know, Isabella. I remember a lot from my time. I'm quite sure I can remember this sight in front of me farther down the road." He said. I hummed and looked up at him. He was dressed in a dark navy suit, white button down, and a red tie. I walked over and grabbed his tie. I quickly undone it, then two top buttons on his shirt.

"There. That's better." I said smirking. I tossed the tie around his neck and went back to my coffee.

"Let me guess, you don't like ties?" He asked walking in.

"I don't. They are to formal for my taste." I answered. I picked up my phone and put it in my pocket.

"I am a very formal person, Isabella." He said standing beside me.

"I can tell. The fancy suits, the ties, the shoes. I grew up in the fancy world as well. Just cause you wear the tie, Elijah, doesn't mean you're gonna win the argument. Unless it's used for other reasons." I said smirking.

"And what other reasons might that be?" He asked taking my coffee. He took a sip as I turned to him.

"Show or tell?" I asked him. I hopped up onto the counter and watched him.

"Show me." He said. I grabbed his arm and pulled him between my legs. I grabbed his head and flashed my eyes. His eyes closed. I pushed him away, hopped down, grabbed my coffee, and went to the other side of the island. I sat on the stool and smiled when he opened his eyes. I winked and looked at the door as Niklaus and Rebekah walked in.

"Good morning." I said sipping my coffee.

"Morning Isabella. Sleep well?" Niklaus asked me. I shrugged.

"Sorta. But I have coffee to keep me sane." I said drinking from my cup. Rebekah stood beside me.

"We need to find you a formal dress for this evening." She said smilling.

"For?" I asked.

"Because tonights the party with the mayor and you're going as Elijah's date." She said looking at Elijah.

"I already have a date sister." He said glaring at her.

"Ah I forgot. Is it the she wolf or the bartender?" She asked crossing her arms.

"It's Camille. Hayley has other things to do." He answered. She hummed.

"That's alright, Rebekah. She can be my date. It would be a pity to leave something as beautiful as Isabella at home." Niklaus said smiling. I didn't miss the glare Elijah shot at him.

"I would be honored Niklaus." I said smiling. Rebekah squealed and grabbed my hand.

'Wonderful! Lets go!" She said grabbing my hand. She dragged me out of the room and to the front door.

"Don't forget to feed her Rebekah!" I heard Elijah call out. We grabbed out jackets and got in her car. We drove an hour to the Mall and walked around searching each store for the right dress.

"So whats going on between you and my brother Elijah?" She asked me.

"Nothing. Why?" I said shaking my head. I moved to the racks to find a dress.

"Oh please! I have seen the way you two have been looking at each other! You're one step away from ripping each others clothes off." She scoffed. I laughed and pulled two dresses and handed them to her.

"Go try these on." I told her. She huffed and took them. She went into the dressing room while I continued searching the racks.

"Do you like him though Bella?" She asked. I sighed.

"Apart of me does. But another part of me knows that he is in love with someone else." I told her. I stopped when I found a dark green, laced, v-neck, knee lengthed dress. The door opened and she stepped out. I smiled and nodded. She was wearing a dark blue, silk, strapless knee length dress.

"That's the one! They will look great with the heels you just got!" I said. We bought our stuff, grabbed some lunch, got our hair and nails done, then headed back to the house. We walked in laughing.

"Ladies. Did you enjoy your shopping spree?" Elijah aske coming out of the living room.

"We did. We found the perfect dresses." I said smiling.

"Do we get a sneak peak?" Niklaus asked appearing beside me. I slapped his hand away as he tried to take a peak.

"Element of surprise dear." I said playfully. He winked making me laugh.

"Come on Bella. Lets go get ready." Rebekah said grabbing my hand. We ran upstairs and into her bedroom.

"What time is the party?" I asked her.

"Starts at 7 but we get there around 8. Camille, Niklaus' human is getting ready here." She said sitting at her makeup table. I nodded and hung up our dresses.

"Are you gonna start on your makeup?" She asked me.

"No. I can literally get dressed, have my hair fixed, makeup done in under ten minutes. While still having the time to eat something that wont make me hurl afterwards." I said laughing.

"Have you always wanted to be a witch?" She asked turning to me.

"Not really. But then after I turned 13 everything changed. That's when we get a taste of our powers, but I got a little more than a taste." I said biting my lip.

"You wanted to be human?" She asked. I nodded.

"I wanted a relationship with my mother. Not the other mothers. But I would have to die in order to become human and I wasn't about to give up." I said sighing. She nodded.

"I understand. I never had a relationship with mine either." She said. I walked over to her and palced my hands on her shoulders.

"Im not sure what your mother looked like when she was your age but I bet we look better than them at our ages." I said laughing. She laughed. I left her to finished her make=up and headed downstairs to grab some wine.

"Sorry I am late! I couldn't find my shoes!" A blonde girl said running in.

"They were on your feet the whole time dear and those shoes wont go with that dress." I told her. I walked to the kitchen and grabbed the glasses and a wine bottle.

"You must be Camille, Isabella or Bella, whichever you prefer." I said holding out my hand.

"The girl version of Klaus." She said shaking my hand. I laughed.

"Only if necessary. Come. Lets go get you ready. I have shoes you can borrow for your dress." I said pulling her with me up the stairs. I poured us each a glass and sat Camille down in the chair. I did her makeup light, I lightly curled her hair and pinned it back with a silver, sparkly clip.

"I am going to go give Elijah and Niklaus the ties you bought them=." Rebekah said getting up.

"Have fun." I said examining Camilles hair.

"You bought my date a gift?" She asked. I laughed and grabbed the lipstick.

"He would have worn the wrong color tie darling. We don't want colors to clash." I said holding it out to her. She nodded and took the tube of lipstick from me. I unbagged Camilles dress and helped her in it. It was a silver, shouldered, knee length dress.

"The guy isnt gonna know what hit him." I said smilling. I handed her, her shoes and set out to get ready.
