Chapter 16
Elijahs POV
I stared up at the ceiling as I listened to Isabella's steady breathing. My emotions were all over the place now. I cared for Hayley but something more pulled me to Isabella.
"It's okay." Isabella mumbled. I looked down at the small brunette laying on my chest. She was sleep talking.
"You love her. Its okay. Go." She grumbled. She moved closer and sighed. I ran my fingers through her hair and down her back. This woman was too good for any man alive, especially me. I held her closer and fell asleep. The next morning I woke alone. I listened out for the shower and for downstairs and it all was quiet. I got out of bed, went to my room, showered and dressed, then headed downstairs.
"Isabella?" I asked walking into the kitchen.
"She and Rebekah are gone for the day, brother. They had to meet the humans at Isabella's." Niklaus said coming in behind me.
"Ill stop by ther later." I said sighing.
"Mad that you didn't get any morning correlation?" He asked smirking. I rolled my eyes and left. Hours later I pulled up to Isabella's. I saw two moving trucks, my sisters car, and a hummer. I got out and walked inside. No one greeted me, which wasn't a shock. I walked into the living room and saw four guys lounging on two couches.
"If you're looking for Bella, she's yelling at the movers upstairs." A guy said not looking up from his phone.
"Sounds more like Rebekah." I said smirking. Rebekah ran in from the dining room.
"Elijah. She's worse than I am. Again I can see why you called her the girl version of our brother. They dented one of the bed frames and she's demanding they take it back and replace it. Honestly I don't blame her." She said hugging me.
"My sister is peculiar on how she wants things done." One of the four boys said.
"Caleb!" Isabella screeched from upstairs. The dark haired boy groaned and stood up.
"Pogue." He said sighing. The long haired one stood up and followed him upstairs.
"Who are you and why are you here?" The blonde boy asked me.
"Elijah, my eldest brother. Elijah this is Reid and Tyler, Bella's brothers. The other two were Pogue and Caleb. Caleb is Bella's blood brother." Rebekah answered.
"It's a pleasure to meet everyone." I said nodding.
"You too." Tyler said.
"Hey! Put me down now, Pogue!" Isabella screeched. The long haired one walked past us, with her on his shoulder and dumped her on the couch. She sat up huffing.
"Seriously?" She snapped.
"Your brother told me too. I just did what he said." He said shrugging. She adjusted her top and crossed her arms at him.
"If my brother told you to jump off a cliff, would you do it?" She asked.
"Yup. Because I have powers baby, I will land gracefully on my feet." He said smirking at her. He kissed her cheek and threw his arms around her as she laughed. Caleb walked in with a serious face.
"Two things. One, Bella don't kill any more movers. Two, Pogue I didn't say drop her on the couch." He said sighing.
"The guy deserved it." She argued.
"We don't need the attention on us while in town." He said.
"Don't go looking at me Caleb. Talk to Bevis and Butthead on the couch. They probably already told Aaron they are here." She said looking at Reid and Tyler.
"We didn't!" They argued. She scoffed. Someone rang the doorbell. Isabella removed herself from Pogue's arms and headed to the door. She winked at me as she walked past.
"Yes?" She asked.
"Are you Isabella Danvers?" A man asked her.
"Depends on who's asking." She said. He laughed.
"I have your flower delivery from Aaron Abbott." He said. I heard her sigh.
"Did he buy the whole store? Jeez. Fine. Bring them in and place them in the dining room through there. Ill find a spot for all them later." She said. Four men came in carrying different sets of flowers.
"Wow. Aaron really does love her." A girl said walking out of dining room. Isabella walked in with a card in her hands.
"Hope you enjoy your Summer home, cant wait for you and the others to join us for dinner tomorrow night. Tell Reid thanks for the bet. Love Aaron." She read.
"Reid!" Everyone yelled at him.
"So much for you all laying low. Now we have to attend a dinner Thursday with the Abbotts." Isabella scoffed. We heard something crash upstairs.
"Ill go." Caleb said as she went to head upstairs. He walked upstairs again.
"Miss Danvers that is all the flowers." The flower man said. She smiled, thanked him, and walked him to the door. She tipped him and shut the door. Caleb walked down.
"It was a vase, no need to kill him too." He said smirking at Isabella. He looked at me and cleared his throat. She looked at me.
"Oh. Caleb, Pogue, Kate, this is Elijah, Rebekahs brother. Elijah my brother, and my human bestfriend, and warlock bestfriend." She said smiling.
"It's a pleasure to meet everyone." I said nodding to them.
"We apologize and will pay for anything she has broken or done." Pogue said smirking.
"Don't make me throw you Parry." She warned him. He crooked a hand at her.
"Where is Jake and Paul?" Tyler asked trying to avoid a fight.
"They, Thierry, Marcel, and Niklaus will be by later for dinner. Hopefully these idiot movers didn't break our plates." She said glaring upstairs.
"We can always do take out." Kate offered.
"I love you Kate but everyone's first night in town and in a new house is not gonna consist of horrible take out food." She said scoffing.
"Aww. She does love us." Reid cackled.
"Occasionally." She said walking away. I watched her walk towards the kitchen.
"Excuse me everyone." I said following her. I stood at the doorway and saw her walking around the kitchen making a list.
"Yes, Elijah?" She asked not looking up.
"You weren't there when I woke up this morning." I said walking into the kitchen. I stood beside her as she wrote down things she needed.
"I had to get here before the movers." She said moving around the kitchen again.
"Still could've called, texted, left a note." I said. She sighed and turned to look at me.
"Sorry, I was in a rush to get here to make sure everything was perfect. Whatever can I do to have you forgive me?" She said. I noted the sarcasm. I shot in front of her and touched her cheek.
"A kiss will do for now." I said smirking. She leaned up and kissed my cheek. She smirked and walked around to the other side of the counter.
"Join us for dinner tonight?" She asked. I looked at her.
"I'd be honored to my dear." I said nodding.
"Good. Dinner is at 730 but drinks start at 7. You can come at anytime in between then." She said looking up at me. Something else broke upstairs.
"That's it. I'm killing all the humans." She growled. She dropped her pen and I grabbed her before she could leave.
"I got it!" Caleb yelled. She sighed and ran her fingers through her hair.
"Stupid humans." She grumbled. I stood behind her and rubbed her arms soothingly. She sighed and relaxed slightly.
"Don't worry my dear. It will all be better by tonight." I said kissing her head.
"It better be. I don't have a problem with killing one of them upstairs." She said sighing.
"Theres my brother in you. You sound just like him." I told her.
"He and I are a lot alike, just as you and Caleb are." She said picking up her pen. She moved to the fridge and looked inside.
"Did you know you talk in your sleep?" I asked her.
"Yes. What did you hear?" She asked.
"You told me to go, that I love her, and it was okay." I said watching her carefully.
"Yes. I know of Hayley and no Rebekah nor Niklaus told me, and I didn't look inside your head to know. I know that you love her still and it doesn't bother me a bit." She said moving to the cabinets.
"Isabella, what I feel for Hayley." I started.
"Its okay Elijah. You don't need to explain." She said going through a door. She came out a second later biting her lip.
"Reid! Tyler! I need you to go to the store!" She called out. They walked in and she smiled devilishly at them.
"Why do we got to go?" Reid asked her.
"Because you're the one who got us into a dinner, I was trying to avoid us to going. Second Caleb and Pogue are here to keep the humans alive." She said handing Tyler the list.
"Why me? What did I do?" He asked.
"Please. Like Reid was the only one in on thay bet with Aaron." She said smirking.
"Sorry bells." He said blushing.
"Be careful. I love the both of you." She said kissing their cheeks. We followed them out and she tried to hand them her card, but they didn't take it.
"What was it the humans broke this time brother?" Isabella asked him. He came down from the upstairs.
"A window, but I fixed it." He said sighing.
"This is why I hate humans." She said huffing.
"Hey!" Kate yelled from the living room. Isabella giggled.
"Casual or what for tonight?" Caleb asked her.
"Our usual attire my big brother. Semi formal." She said walking away. I smirked at her and looked at Caleb.
"Your sister truly hates formal wear." I said.
"Yeah she does. Only because she got tired of me figeting with my ties at every event we went to." He said laughing. Something else broke upstairs.
"That's it!" She yelled. I caught her around the waist as she went to head upstairs.
"Maybe you being in the house with the humans is a bad idea my darling." I said.
"He's right. Get out of the house for awhile and Pogue and I will keep things going here." Caleb told her. She went to argue.
"No. We will handle everything here and you can come back in awhile and cook for us." He said smiling. She huffed.
"Come Isabella. You and I haven't seen the Orchard at home." I told her. I grabbed her bag and dragged her away from the house. I opened the car door and we got in.
"What happened to my car?" She asked as we headed to my home.
"It was totaled by the witches." I told her.
"Ugh! This is why I hate other witches! They mess everything up!" She snapped. I reached over and grabbed her hand.
"We'll get you a new one. I promise my darling." I said kissing her hand. She hummed and looked out the window. Her hand never left mine the whole ride.
