Okay, so. Where do I start from.

Oh, I know: how about the fact that I finally FIGURED OUT WHAT TO DO WITH THIS STORY. SQUEE.

As much as I don't like how I originally wrote it, this story still holds a special spot in my heart, and I really don't want to let it rot in the hell of forgotten fanfics. However, I had a bit of difficulties in figuring out some things about the plot and the details: I knew what I wanted to change, but not how to do it.

I'm not saying I will start writing it right now, because I won't. I still have a lot to finish, one of those things being school. However, know that this fic is officially out of hiatus!

Just a few things before you start fangirling though.

First, I will write it on ArchiveOfOurOwn, and not here. Because I just find that site easier to use and navigate. You'll find me under the nick "sarcasticGear". You'll know it's me because I only have two unfinished Homestuck fanfictions written there :)

Then, the story will have some drastic changes, so read this list carefully to make sure you won't be disappointed by what you'll find in the new version:

- It's set during the Order of the Phoenix and not the Goblet of Fire. It just makes things easier, plus everybody loves Humbridge, right? Right?

- No more random Japanese and Dovah. I may make up a Hylian language, but eeeh don't count on it too much.

- Less random references. Honestly, half of the original story is fanservice.

- Impa won't be present. Rip badass sexy ninja woman.

- Zelda will be (hopefully) more in character, along with the others.

- I will integrate more canon Zelda lore, such as the Sheikah diaspora. Thank you, BotW, for answering a few questions.

- Sheik probably won't be present. In case you were wondering, yes. In the original version she was Zelda.

- I will make some researches about Harry Potter lore. I was never as obsessed with HP as I am with Zelda, so my knowledge about this series is limited, which led me to make quite a few mistakes in writing the original.

- Hopefully, less grammatical abominations.

- Unlike the first version, most of the action will be set in Hyrule.

-Link will not, and this is very important, be a teacher at Hogwarts. I know, I know, it was the focus of the first version, but you know what? Thinking about it, I realized that, considering what I was planning to write, it was most definitely NOT an opportune starting point. Shame on me for realizing this now, but the fact is, when I first started writing this story I just wanted to make a "Link goes to Hogwarts and becomes a teacher while everybody wonders what's up with his ears" kinda thing. The REAL plot came to me after I had already written quite a few chapters, but too late, this fic's grave had already been dug. I just didn't know about it yet.

- So Link and the Golden Trio will most likely meet later in the story.

- Shadow's encounter with Harry will be modified, and he will have a bigger role than the one he was going to have. Honestly, in the original version he was going to be absolutely useless after a while! I can't have that, I love this crabby butt.

- While I'll try not to make Link and Zelda overpowered, remember the fundamental difference between them and Harry: Link and Zelda are a hero chosen by the goddesses and a bloody reincarnated deity, while Harry is still a mere human, no matter how much of a "chosen one" he may be. Therefore, I feel like giving them the same abilities would be dishonest. However, Earth magic will still have its advantages over Hyrulean magic, and Harry will not be excessively overshadowed by our favourite Hylians, as he will have his own, very special mission. TL;DR, there will be a difference in abilities, but not godmode.

- There will be a lot, and I mean a lot of magic, theology, sociology etc headcanons.

- Overall, the story will be way more mature than the original version. My tastes in writing have shifted slightly, and while I still enjoy humour (which will stay, god forbid I actually write a serious fanfiction, ugh *shudders*), the new version will have themes that the old one didn't have.

These are the main changes that come into my mind right now. I know, it's a lot, but ironically enough the second part of the story is way more similar to the original version that I had in mind. Anyway, if you want to ask me anything about headcanons and such, feel free to do so in the new version's comments. Er, as soon as I'll actually publish it, at least.
