AN: I'm thinking of ending this story after a few more chapters, I'm not sure how to end it yet but I'm open to ideas!

CHAPTER 28

Bella's POV

I paced back and forth along the pier at Jackson's. How dare my mother invite that little, pathetic human, Sarah! I was furious. She knew what she was doing. She wanted a human dead tonight. She didn't want bloodshed but she was testing the waters. I felt the anger inside me ready to be released. The power building. Was I about to lose control?

Elijah's POV

We stood on the porch of Jackson's watching Isabella pace back and forth. You could see the anger pouring off of her. It was as if her anger created a fire around her. Jackson came out of his trailer and handed me and Niklaus a cup.

"Whiskeys all I got." He said sipping his cup.

"How do we help her?" He asked nodding to Isabella. Niklaus laughed and downed his drink. He handed it back to Jackson.

"I may have an idea. I'll be back in an hour. Make sure she stays angry." He said smirking. Then he was gone.

"What's he doing?" Jackson asked me. I looked at him then back at Isabella.

"If you haven't noticed, Jackson. Isabella and my brother are a lot alike in some cases. When she killed those hunters, she had no guilt in killing them. Niklaus wouldn't have any remorse either. So, I'm guessing, he's gone to gather some humans for her to snap." I said sighing.

"I hope they're not innocent." He said sighing.

"I highly doubt it." I said. We turned around as a taxi pulled up. Hayley and Rebekah got out. Hayley walked into the trailer without a word. Rebekah walked over to us.

"She's pissed." He said sighing.

"She'll get over it. What's with Bella?" She said nodding to her.

"Same thing but ten times worse." I answered. She hummed and walked back to her car and left. We heard Isabella scream. We turned around as she threw her arms out and a wave went across the water. She fell to her knees. Jackson moved to go but I stopped him.

"You might not want to go. She'll end up hurting you and won't forgive herself. Go check on Hayley, I'll go to Isabella." I told him.

"Bella needs me." He argued.

"Jackson, Isabella is angry and on the verge of losing control. You can't heal unless you have my blood or hers. So I suggest talking with Hayley first." I explained. He sighed and walked off. I walked down to the pier.

"Isabella." I said carefully.

"Don't. I'm angry enough as it is." She snapped.

"The human girl. Who is she?" I asked. She scoffed and stood up. She turned to me and her eyes weren't her usual brown. They were darker with gold around them.

"Why? Wanna kiss her too? I'm sure my brother would like that." She hissed. I got close enough to her to where I towered over her. Her breath caught and her heart sped up.

"Who is the girl?" I growled at her.

"A pathetic human, Elijah! A human who's neck I want to snap but my brother won't let me!" She snapped. She shoved me away and stormed off. I caught her arm and spun her around.

"I won't allow you to kill an innocent human, Isabella. Not in New Orleans." I told her.

"I'll do it outside of New Orleans then. Maybe I'll have Niklaus feed her his blood, snap her neck and then I let her fed off a human and slowly torture her until she's begging to be dead for fun." She said smirking evilly. This wasn't Isabella. This was someone else. Isabella would kill a human but not just for fun.

"I'm sorry Isabella." I said. I grabbed her head and snapped her neck. I felt a hit of death slowly creep up in me. Reminded me of when I tried to kill Damon Salvatore. The slow death she put me through. I picked her up and walked up to the car. Jackson and Hayley came out of the trailer.

"What happened?" Jackson asked as I carried her to my car.

"I snapped her neck. This isn't Isabella." I said. Hayley opened the back door and deposited her in the back.

"What do you mean this isn't Bella?" He asked.

"Isabella wouldn't want to torture or kill an innocent human for fun. A witch or a vampire, hunter, cold one, yes. But not a human." I said shutting the door.

"I'm going with." Jackson said running around the car. I drove us to my home and carried her inside. I put her in my room and called Caleb. Jackson sat with her. I took off my coats and tie while we waited. A few minutes passed and she sat up gasping. She groaned and rubbed her neck. She looked around and her eyes landed on me. She got out of bed and Jackson stood up with her.

"You snapped my neck." She growled at me.

"You're not yourself." I said.

"I am myself!" She yelled at me.

"You are not. Turning an innocent human, just to torture her and kill her isn't the Isabella I know." I said stepping towards her.

"You underestimate the hate I have for someone like her! She's not an innocent!" She yelled. Thunder and lightening hit outside.

"Baby calm down." Jackson told her.

"Jackson careful. Isabella isn't in control." I warned him. Isabella suddenly had me pinned to wall behind me. I grunted.

"I am in control, Elijah." She growled. I spun us and grabbed her by the neck.

"If you were, then why the lightening and thunder outside?" I questioned.

"It's called anger, you should try it, oh so noble one." She snapped. I tightened my hand. She grabbed my wrist and twisted it making it break. I grunted.

"Last time that happened honey, your brother bit you, you hallucinated. I can make that happen again." She said smirking.

"Then it ended differently, if I remember correctly, my love." I said fixing my hand.

"Don't call me that." She huffed. The doors busted open and Niklaus came waltzing in with a huge smile on his face.

"I brought you a gift, Isabella. Follow me." He said smirking. She walked over to him, and they walked out. Jackson and I followed him. We walked into the backyard, and she squealed. Three humans and three vampires laid on the ground.

"Niklaus, really?" I asked him.

"Isabella needs to let off some steam. What better way than to snap a neck or two." He said shrugging. Isabella turned to us.

"Yeah Elijah. Since my brother, nor you will let me snap his old humans, my mothers neck, I gotta find some sort of relief." She said smirking.

"I'm gonna go. You two seem to have her handled." Jackson said. He walked over and kissed her cheek.

"More Niklaus, than Elijah. Thanks for the tonight." She told him giggling. He laughed and left.

"Isabella." I started. She ignored me and walked over to a human. He whimpered as she picked him up. Niklaus sat down and watched her.

"You're encouraging bad behavior that her brother wouldn't allow, Niklaus." I told him.

"Don't worry, I'm sure he will understand. They're not innocent, some are murderers and horrible people." He said shrugging. Isabella tormented the vampires and one human. She walked over to us with the other two.

"A snack for you my dear Niklaus." She said handing him the girl. He grinned and bit into the girl. Her cold eyes turned to me.

"Elijah." She said offering me the other.

"You know I don't do that." I told her.

"He's not innocent. All you have to do is take a little and you'll feel better." She said seductively. I was thirsty and she was right, he wasn't a innocent. I heard her giggle as I bit into him. I dropped the boy and looked at her. Her eyes were playful, and lust filled. I grabbed her and pulled her against me. She grinned and undid my tie.

"See Elijah. Tormenting a few humans or vampires makes the irritated witch all better." She said biting her lip. I grabbed a handful of her hair and yanked her head back exposing her neck. I leaned down and inhaled her sweet scent.

"Niklaus, call us when her brothers arrive." I told him. I ran Isabella and myself up to my room before he could answer. I shut the door and turned to Isabella. She had walked over to the window.

"Isabella." I said softly.

"Tell me something, Elijah. Are there anymore secrets I should know about?" She said turning to me. Her eyes were serious and cold now.

"No Isabella. My siblings and I have told you everything there is." I told her. She nodded and started walking around. She sighed and groaned, then she crossed her arms.

"So, the little viper kissed you?" She asked. I walked over to her and touched her cheek. She leaned into my palm.

"Look inside my head, Isabella. She kissed me, I pulled away, then she told me she loved me. Look inside my head." I explained. She reached up and touched my cheek. Her eyes closed and I could feel her inside my head. She pulled away and growled.

"I will rip that little wolf in half when I see her again!" She snapped.

"Do I need to go get you a few more humans and vampires to torment, my dear?" I asked her. She turned to me again.

"Don't be cute, Elijah." She scoffed. I smirked and grabbed ahold of her waist.

"To me, Isabella, the kiss meant nothing. Her kiss felt wrong, But when I kiss you, my dear, that's all I ever want to do. I never want to stop kissing you." I told her.

"Reading romance novels now, huh?" She asked smirking. Before I could say anything, I felt a tightening in my chest. I sat down on the bed as I had the worse coughing fit ever.

"Mhmm. You snapped my neck and now you're suffering the consequences. Doesn't this remind you of the time you attacked my dear, dark haired, blue eyed, Salvatore?" She said coming to stand between my legs.

"Isabella." I said eyeing her. She smirked, her eyes returning to her playful and lusted.

"Do you want a drink?" She asked walking over to my desk. She grabbed the letter opener and came back over to me.

"Isabella." I warned. She twirled it between her fingers.

"You have choices, Elijah. You can drink from me or suffer until you're gray and veiny. Which on you, isn't attractive." She said shrugging. I stood up in a flash and pinned her against the wall. The opener fell to the floor.

"I think I'll have a drink." I whispered in her ear. I pulled her head to the side and didn't wait for her permission. I bit into her neck. She gasped then moaned. My room was destroyed after that. We were lying there after. She was between my legs, up against my chest, her fingers tracing patterns in my palm.

"Elijah! Isabella! Your brothers and some extra guests are here!" Niklaus called out. Isabella groaned. I smirked then kissed her shoulder as I rubbed her arms.

"Come on, love." I told her. She huffed and got up. She just dressed in a pair of panties and my button up.

"Isabella." I warned her.

"What?" She asked innocently. I shook my head and we walked out of my room. I just hoped the human Isabella hated wasn't downstairs.
