The end of my spring break came too quick. But, it meant that the school year was basically over. Who cares that much after spring break? Not me. So, I was almost 1/4 of the way through high school.

I couldn't wait for summer.

It was a Sunday, and Callie was sleeping over- I think Mom said something about them both having days off tomorrow.

I, on the other hand, had school in the morning. So I was planning on trying to go to sleep a little bit early.

First I wanted to talk to Mom.

I came out of my room and stood at the end of the hallway. Mom and Callie were in the kitchen.

Mom caught my eye, and I motioned for her to come.

Mom laughed, "Hold on." She told Callie. "What's going on?" She probably wondered why I was being so serious.

"I wanna talk to you." I grabbed her arm and pulled her to my room.

"Okay. Honey, are you okay?"

"I'm good." I closed my door behind us.

"Is something wrong?"

"No." I shook my head.

"What is it?" Mom pushed.

I sat on my bed. "Why don't you bring up moving in to Callie?" I asked casually. I had been thinking about it for a while. I knew it was time to tell her how I felt. And, I thought, why not tell her now. That way, she could tell Callie if she wanted.

"Wait- what?" Mom looked confused.

"I mean, if you want to- obviously. I'm pretty sure you do though." I said quickly. I was certain Mom wanted to. I think she was just shocked I was telling her to.

"Olive.." She tilted her head.

"I've thought about it for a long time, now. I don't need to keep thinking about it. I'm okay with it." I said finally.

"You're sure? It's ok if you're not sure." She was hesitant. I knew why- she didn't want me to be uncomfortable. She didn't want to rush me.

"I'm sure, Mom. So, are you gonna ask her?"

"Tonight?!"

"Why not," I shrugged.

"Are you really sure?"

"Yes, yes, yes. Mom I am one-thousand-percent sure." I reassured.

"Do you want me to wait to ask her?"

"Do you want to wait?" I turned her question around.

"I don't know!"

I tilted my head. "I thought you wanted to move in with her."

"I do! What if she doesn't?! I guess I didn't really think it through fully. What do I do if she says no?" Mom started to freak out a little, getting nervous.

"I doubt she'll say no."

"Really?" Mom started to smile.

"Yeah. Why are you so worried? It's Callie." I didn't get why Mom seemed to get nervous sometimes. It was Callie- Callie's sweet and cares about Mom. I trusted that she wouldn't hurt Mom's feelings.

"I don't know. I just stress myself out." Mom laughed, running her hands through blonde curls. "Ok. You're seriously ready? I mean... bringing this up is a big deal for you, too."

"I'm ready." I confirmed.

Mom smiled brightly. "I love you Olive. Ooh this is exciting!"

I laughed, "I love you too Mom."

"Okay... okay." Mom tried to calm her nerves. "You'll come out to say goodnight?"

"I'm probably gonna get ready for bed now." I shrugged. I stood back up, going to give her a hug.

"It's early!" Mom said.

"I have school!" I replied.

"It's still early for you."

"It'll take me a while to fall asleep. Spring break sleep schedule and all."

"Alright," She gave me a hug, and then kissed both my cheeks, then my forehead. Like always.

"Goodnight. Love you." I said quietly.

"Goodnight Olive, I love you." She squeezed me again.

"Good luck. You got this." I squeezed her back.

She smiled, looking at me for a second, before she walked out of my room.

I smiled to myself, this was good. I hoped it went well- though, I knew it would.

I went into the bathroom, brushing my teeth and washing my face.

When I walked back out, I peeked into the kitchen. "Goodnight, Callie." I called out.

Callie turned around and smiled, "Goodnight, Liv."

I smiled back, and then went into my room, closing the door. I made sure all of my things were ready for school in the morning, and then decided to watch some YouTube before I went to sleep.

I turned off my lights, got into bed, and searched for a video that interested me. I usually spend more time looking than actually watching, which is pretty funny.

I ended up watching a few videos, since I really wasn't all that tired yet. Once I felt like I could probably sleep, I set my phone down and laid down.

I tossed and turned for a while- wondering if right now Mom was asking Callie about moving in.

I wondered what that meant. Would Callie move here? Would we move with Callie? Would they get a whole new place?

I guess that would all be figured out when the time came. If Callie said yes. I was sure she would say yes, though. She and Mom were both serious about their relationship, and like Mom had said, it was the next step for them.

It made sense.

And, it would make Mom happy. I was all for it. I was prepared to adjust to a whole lot of change, if she did say yes, though. The whole sharing my mom think still bothered me.

Only child bratty-ness.

Just as I started to fall asleep, my phone buzzed. I picked it up- it was a text.

Mama: You were right :)

I smiled. Callie had said yes.

I knew Mom had to be beaming right now.

L: Yay!!

L: Goodnight, love you

Mama: I love you too Olive!

Callie said yes.

Soon, we would live with Callie.

I didn't know how soon, or where. But, it would happen.

Wow.
