Prologue
The Future
It had been a quiet week in Gotham city. As such the bats at this point consisting of Batman, Nightwing, Red Hood, Red Robin, Robin, Orphan, Spoiler and Shadow were having a non-stressful week. Well the batkids were relaxing, while Batman himself was stuck in a meeting as Bruce Wayne something Bruce complained (well as much as Batman complains) about the entire week. The batboys were all relaxing in the batcave while the batgirls (including Shadow) were out on a girls day with Starfire {Nightwing's wife}, Artemis, Miss Martian, Raven and Bumblebee. Zatanna and Rocket had been invited but had to miss out due to a league mission.
"What'cha doing Red?" Nightwing curiously asked his brother and fellow bat.
Red Robin looked up from his holo-glove and smiled. "Oh, I was just checking the latest reports from anything suspicious in Gotham. According to the latest report from Star Labs weird energy signals have been popping up all over Gotham."
By now the other two bats in the cave who had overheard the exchange began surrounding the two conversing brothers.
"I don't know about you guys but I am getting a bit bored, I say we check out these weird energy signals." Red Hood chimed in.
"Tt agreed, though I am concerned as to why the scientists at Star Labs have not taken a look already, they have been known for sticking their heads in matters that are not of their concern," replied Robin.
"Gotham's out of their district," answered Red Robin
"Then it's settled, let's go," ordered Nightwing.
