Prologue

The Present

It had been two weeks since Wally's 'death'. Artemis had thrown herself into her hero work and her studies to distract herself and had kept her undercover name Tigress. Nightwing had given leadership of the team back to Kaldur. Everyone apart from Lagoon Boy had forgiven Nightwing.

Nightwing himself had been busy with the aftermath of the invasion and had had very little time to process his best friend's death. A fact he was grateful for.

The team was gathered in the living room of the cave and were watching static since it was Superboy's turn to pick the show.

All of a sudden the debriefing alarm sounded and the team hurried to the briefing room.

Nightwing was waiting for them. Nightwing smiled at them, excellent response time, and now the mission, strange energy signals have been popping up all over Gotham and since the league is still dealing with the Encodama Mission I want you to check it out.

Lagoon boy grumbled. He was pointedly igorned.
