So I'm thinking of adding another arc to the story: Council of Vale. This arc focuses on team RWBY being people of public interest and the government trying to take advantage of their - or at least Yang and Ruby's - abilities. Unlike Ironwood, however, they're more focused on securing their own powerbase, which can run the mix of good, bad and anything in-between.
This can include anything from sending the team to cut down supremely large Grimm hordes so they can create larger villages ala Mountain Glenn to using the goodwill of their actions for the sake of garnering public approval and votes.
It might also be nice write another Ironwood-like faction. Not evil like the other four, but also not really good either. Just like Ironwood they simply see team RWBY for their powers and what said powers can do for them, though at least they try to use the carrot more than the stick, if only because as Huntresses they're technically outside of Vale's governmental structure and can't be ordered to work for them by force. They need to bargain. Blake, for example, might be able to argue for tighter anti-discriminatory laws in exchange for her help.
What do you guys think? Any suggestions or criticisms? Maybe even other arcs you wanna explore? If so suggest those as well in the reviews and I'll see about incorporating any good ones I can find. I've gotten some decent ideas in some of the feedback, particularly regarding Jaune's combat style.
