"And... here we are!" Callie said dramatically as she parked her car.

Isa looked over at me, leaning in. "Are they rich?" She asked.

I giggled, "I think so," I whispered with a shrug.

Isa giggled.

"You two ready?" Mom looked back at us, smiling.

"Yup!" We said in sync.

Aria's house. Massive. Possibly as big as Callie's parents house. I wonder why they needed such a big house. They only had two kids.

It was the beginning of summer, and Aria was throwing a pool party for Lexi and her friends.

When asked who she wanted to come, Lexi said me. I thought that was sweet.

Aria invited us, and she told me I could bring a friend so I wasn't just surrounded by 4 year old girls. So, I brought Isa. Duh. Who else would I bring?

Isa and I climbed out of the car, and trailed a little bit behind Mom and Callie, who led us around the house.

As we got closer and closer to the back yard, I could hear kids laughing and screaming.

I looked over at Isa, she was smiling. Just happy to be there.

I was happy she was there, too.

Aria greeted us immediately.

"There you guys are! Thank god, some adults!" Aria hugged Callie, then Mom, then me.

"This is Isa. She's my best friend." I motioned to Isa, who was standing beside me. "Isa, this is Aria. Callie's sister."

Aria hugged Isa, who was taken aback for only a second, then she hugged right back. "It's nice to meet you! I hope these little kids don't scare you away, I promise I'm not crazy. Lexi might be though." Aria said, making Mom and Callie laugh.

"It's nice to meet you too." Isa smiled.

"Lexi is Aria's kid. The one who wanted us to come," I told Isa after the attention was off of her. "Her husband is Michael. And then Lexi has a little brother, Elijah." I explained.

"Aria, Michael, Lexi, Elijah. Got it." Isa giggled.

"Olivia!!" Lexi came running from the pool.

"Lexi, hi!" I smiled as she rushed over to me, hugging me- totally soaked from the pool. Good thing I had brought a change of clothes.

"Who's that?" Lexi looked at Isa.

"This is my friend, Isa!"

"Hi Lexi!" Isa waved.

"Hi!! Are you guys gonna come in the pool?" Lexi raised an eyebrow.

Isa and I looked at each other, once I knew she was cool with it, I shrugged. "We probably will, yeah." I told Lexi.

She smiled excitedly. "Come on! Get your swimsuits on!!"

"We will, we will." I told her, and then she ran off. I looked to Isa. "Maybe Callie can show us where a bathroom is. I have a feeling we could get lost."

She laughed.

"I'm serious. I've almost gotten lost in Callie's parents house before."

"That's funny" She said, laughing more.

"Yeah ok" I said sarcastically, smiling at her.

I led Isa to Mom and Callie- they were sitting around the table near the pool.

"Hey Liv, we saw that Lexi gave you a big wet hug." Mom and Callie both laughed.

I nodded. "She did. I think we're gonna get in the pool."

"Oh nice!" Mom smiled.

I looked at Callie. "We need to change though. Where do we go?"

Callie unwrapped her arm from around Mom's shoulders. "Come on, I'll show you."

"Is your sister rich?" Isa asked randomly.

"Isa!" I laughed.

"What?!" Isa looked at me, then looked back at Callie.

"Uh." Callie laughed it off. "Here's the bathroom." She said after a few moments.

"Thanks Callie!" I said, giving Isa a look. Once Callie left, Isa and I laughed. "You made that so awkward" I whispered to her.

"I didn't think she would get weird about it!"

"It's a weird thing to ask someone."

"I guess so," Isa giggled.

We both changed- I put on my bikini. It was a new one I had just gotten. It was bright orange. It looked a little funky since I wasn't super tan yet, but I loved it nonetheless.

"Liv?" Isa came up next to me in the mirror.

"You ready?"

"No."

I looked at her. "Why not? You're in your bathing suit?"

"I don't think I wanna swim." She said.

"Why not?"

She shrugged a little. "I'm gonna put my clothes back on..."

"Isa... what's wrong?" I didn't get it. Isa seemed off.

"I just got my period." She whispered.

"Oh, okay. I'll change too." I wasn't gonna swim without Isa.

Isa didn't say anything else. She changed. Then I changed.

"All good?" I asked. I wanted to make sure she was okay.

"Uh.. yeah. I think so. I just... don't have any tampons. And my stomach hurts." She explained, stuffing her swimsuit back into her bag.

"Ok. Wanna go back out there? We can sit with Mom and Callie."

"Sure." She nodded.

I just led her back out- luckily remembering how to get to the back yard. Mom and Callie looked at us when they saw we were in clothes.

"I thought you guys were swimming?" Mom said.

Isa and I sat down, "We decided we didn't want to." I answered. I wasn't going to explain why, that really didn't matter.

"Oh. Okay." Mom shrugged.

Isa looked at me, and I smiled reassuringly.

"Aria put out snacks if you girls are hungry," Callie said, nodding her head over to the table that was near the pool. She and Mom were basically on top of each other- her arm was around Mom's shoulders, like before. Mom was holding Callie's hand, a big smile on her face.

I nodded at Callie.

"Isa, you're staying the night, right?" Callie was pulling every string she could to start a conversation.

Isa smiled more, "I am! If- that's ok, right?"

"Of course!" Mom nodded quickly.

"Well, then, yes!" Isa giggled.

"Fun! I think Ari has work," Callie glanced at Mom, who nodded. "I don't work until later in the afternoon, though. The three of us could get breakfast?"

"Aw that sounds like fun!" Mom said.

I nodded, "Cool!"

Isa nodded as well, "Thank you."

Callie smiled, "Sounds like a plan." She looked at Mom again. "Wish you could come, babe."

Babe. Ew. Isa and I looked at each other.

"Me too!" I heard Mom say. "Maybe next time."

"Mhm." Callie agreed.

Then I glanced over and they were kissing.

"Isa! Wanna go get some snacks?!" I asked loudly.

Isa laughed, "Let's... let's go." She said, and we both got up, leaving Mom and Callie to do- well, whatever it was they were doing. Gross.
