Another one of my songfics, this one for Star Wars. It's funny—I joined this site four years back to read Star Wars fanfiction, and this is my first story on that topic. Anyway, on with the paperwork.

"Luke, what's wrong?" He turns and I am instantly shocked by his old smile.
I know there's something in the wake of your smile
His blue eyes are sad, and sudden fear crystallizes in my gut.
I get a notion from the look in your eyes
The love in his gaze is no longer little-boy adoration, but the love of an older brother. Something has broken behind that stare.
You've built a love, but that love falls apart
A shadow has fallen over his bright, sky-blue eyes.
Your little piece of heaven
Turns too dark
His innocence ended last year at Bespin, after he tried to rescue Han and I, and ended up being the one needing to be rescued. I remember hearing him calling my name in a desperate, heartbroken, hoarse moan.
Listen to your heart
When he's calling for you
I listened to his feverish ravings with an aching heart—it was all that I could do.
Listen to your heart
There's nothing else you can do
"Why?"
"He's my father."
"Your father?"
I know where he's going to go, but I want to keep him from going. I know why he's going, but my heart wants to deny it.
I don't know where you're going,
And I don't know why
"Why must you confront him?"
I am trying not to cry, and the gentleness in his voice is only making matters worse
"Because...there is good in him. I've felt it. … I have to try."
His blue eyes are luminous under the dusky-silver light of Endor. I don't want to let him go. Not so soon, not right after I've found him.
Listen to your heart
Before you tell him goodbye…
Voices are swirling in my mind—my father, Vader, Han, Luke.
And there are voices
That want to be heard
So many words are welling up in me—good luck, don't do this, be careful—that I can't give voice to them, and settle for a long gaze, firmly meeting his blue eyes.
So much to mention,
But you can't find the words
I look away, and out into the quiet forest, inhaling the smell of the trees and drinking in the beauty. It's a wild, untamed environment, where beauty and death meet and dance every day, and will do so until their world comes to an end.
The scent of magic, the beauty that's been
When love was wilder than the wind
Time seems to stand still as we gaze at each other. He appears to have aged ten years in the last minute.
Listen to your heart
When he's calling for you
Listen to your heart
There's nothing else you can do
I don't know where you're going
And I don't know why
Finally, he shoots me a long, final look, then slips away into the shadows, his black clothing melding smoothly with the night. I watch his blond hair until it too fades like a star in the night sky.
"Goodbye." I whisper softly, even though I know he can't hear me. "Come back to us."
Listen to your heart
Before
You tell him goodbye…
