Ah! A wonderful day to start a new story! Or maybe not. I'm not sure. Well, anyway, This is the sequel to Children, as you may have predicted as to the title, which may I say, is subject to change. I know I was going to revise Children and all before I started the sequel, but I wanted to get something out tonight. So, here it is.

Children II

Chapter 1: A Legend Begins

(A/N): This starts in the middle of Morgan's second year as a squire, which would make it Selda's first year as a squire and Alex's third year as a page. Keitha is now seven years old, as it's about a month and a half past Midwinter.

A young woman sat cleaning her sword late one night. She was thinking about the tournament she was to partake in the next afternoon. Her knight-master had gone to see whom she would be facing in the sword-fighting section about ten minutes ago and should be back soon. Morgan was anxious to find out who it would be.

"Squire Morgan, may I come in?" a voice boomed from the doorway of the tent.

"Of course, sire," Morgan replied decorously. Sir Nealan of Queenscove ducked into her tent with a grin on his face. She looked at him with a grimace. She knew that grin, and whatever news came with it couldn't be good.

"Guess who you're going up against tomorrow?"

Okay, so a really short chapter to start things off isn't bad, is it? I promise my chapters will be a lot longer for the rest of the story, so deal with it. I would write more, but that would mean that I would have to write the sword fight, and I think that would be to long of a chapter. So, goodbye all. And I hope we all remembered those who died this day five years ago.

In God we trust.
