Chapter five: Here comes the truth
In this chapter, we learn that what we say in the future can be changed.. only when it is done right.
You will see a bond grow between certain ghosts

Once Danny was in the ghost zone, he flew straight over to Clockwork's tower. He turned him self invisible to enter the tower. "It's a pleasure to see you, as always Phantom" Spoke Clockwork, Danny hovered himself towards clockwork. "You sent Skulker?" Said Danny, who was slightly confused. "Ah yes, he wanted a job, I gave him one." Clockwork simply said. He waved his time staff where it opened a future portal. "What you're about to see, can be shocking. But I assure you… My visions are never wrong."
When the portal became clearer, Danny could see his future self and the gang walking to Amity Park. Just as they entered Box ghost appears in sight.
"You have what I seek!" spoke Box ghost. Danny could see that he was looking at Tucker.
"The slime?" Danny asked Clockwork. He nodded in agreement "Damn it, Tuck" moaned Danny. He continued watching the scene. He saw his future self go ghost within the matter of seconds. " I want what is mine!" Box ghost said as he made a charge for Tucker. A shot ghost ray was sent flying towards Box Ghost knocking him off balance. "I don't think so!" Danny said. as he flew himself in front of Tucker. "Guys go hide, I got this" Said Danny. His hands started to form more ecto energy. "As if! we fight together!" Said Valerie, she had changed into her fighting suit. "Yeah we stick together!" Spoke Sam. Sam's new appearance had completely shocked Danny, he flew closer to the portal to get a better look. "Sam is a ghost?" He said, still in shock. "Fascinating isn't it?" he paused the portal on Sam. "How?" Danny asked? he was unsure how he felt about this... did he do this to her? "How this happens, I cannot tell you. I can only ask you.. from what you have seen, you're understanding of what lies ahead." Danny stared at Clockwork, "Sam a ghost?" he said. He stared back to her figure in the portal, it was clear as day... she had the ghostly green eyes, Silver and black hair...
The ghostly figure formation, was he ok with this? "I can't prevent this can I ?" Danny asked, Clockwork shook his head in disagreement. "No, unfortunately you cannot. I can only warn you in advance. What is yet to come" Clockwork said. Danny moved away from the portal, he's seen enough. "Can you not give me a time medallion?" Clockwork shook his head "No child, that will only give her time immunity." Danny angrily shot out two beams of ghost ray which almost hit Clockwork "Remember, ghost child I know everything" He said, he waved his time staff and ended the future portal. "I... have to go." He said, he flew out before Clockwork could say anything.
Danny continued to fly around the ghost zone to clear his thoughts.. 'Sam a ghost?' he angrily punched a large floating boulder, which broke into thousands of pieces. "I wont let her become half dead!" He shouted to no one but himself!" he punched another boulder. Anger was starting to get the better of him. How could he face the others now, when he new what was coming. "Ahhhhhhhhhhh! FUCK!" Shouted Danny, he was not one to swear, but when he gets angry, he gets angry. "Quiet down ghost boy, or you'll attract everyone to come fight you." Said Skulker as he appeared in front of Danny. "Not now." Said Danny, He flew over to the rocky ledge rocky near by and sat down. "I'm not one, to mellow with you, but usually it's me that gets you in this mood. What's gotten in to you? Ghost child." Skulker said, he activated his wrist cannon which he had aimed at Danny, he slightly moved it and shot a streak of green leasers destroying the floating bolder behind him.
"I do this often, when Ember is on my case. It's quite... what's the word you humans call it?" murmured Skulker... "Relaxing?" Danny questioned. "Ahh, yes." Danny chuckles. From all the things he has seen this morning, he never would have thought that he would be sitting here in the ghost zone with Skulker. "How about we go shoot some more boulders?" Skulker asked as he got, ready to aim his cannon. "Maybe few more wont hurt." Danny said as he stood up and got ready to shoot some rock boulders, he smashed at least two of them which vaporized into pieces. "See blowing stuff up is fun." Mocked Skulker as she just struck another with his cannon "this yes, not buildings with innocent people." Mocked Danny. "Hey, I've never blown up buildings..." Skulker said aiming for another one, Danny gave him that look "Okay fine, point taken, that was one time." Skulker said "Yeah i don't forgive you for it either." Danny said as they both exploded another rock. "I'm mellow these days incase you haven't notice, ghost world isn't the same as it was. Ghost boy." Danny nods in agreement, "I agree with you on that, it has been quiet.. too quiet.". With that, Danny decided to call it quits "Guess ill see ya round." he made a portal to take him home "You better watch out for me Phantom." was the last thing he heard Skulker say before disappearing
It was quite late when Danny had returned home, sometimes he forgets how fast time goes when being in the ghost zone. When he entered the house, he could literally hear the gang in the living room laughing. He walked in and was instantly welcomed by a warm embrace of Sam. "Your back" she said to him. He held her a bit more tightly. "Miss me?" he said with a grin whilst pulling her back to look at her. "Yeah man, what gives. You was gone for ages?" Danny shrugged his shoulder's their was no way, that he was going to tell them what he has seen from clockwork. "Bunch of rubbish... he reckons Skulker is going to take over the ghost zone..." Danny said, he took Sam's hand and guided her to the sofa, where she sat besides him and eagerly snuggled herself closer to him. Valerie and Tucker both burst out into laughing fits. Which bought a smile to Danny's face. "Sure I'll believe that the day I see it." Tucker said. Danny grinned..."Actually, he showed me the future for ten seconds at least... Box ghost wants that slime you took." as he said that the slime ball popped itself out of Tuckers and bounced on his shoulder, it then suddenly became upset and started to cry "See, look what you did you upset his feelings" Said Tucker, he took the slime and held it in his hands and stroked his head "It's okay.. no one is gonna take you!" Tucker said looking at an annoyed Danny.
"Soo, anyway, we gonna talk about earlier? like the real reason why where here?" Asked Valerie. Danny held Sam a bit tighter "Ready?" she nodded in approval. "Basically, couple days ago. Sam's dad went mental. He attacked Sam's mum and Sam. whilst he was drunk." Valerie's eyes went wide with shock. "No way!" She said, almost jumping out of her seat... "And I'm the last to find out about this?" She said, sounding almost hurt. "To be fair Val, I found out yesterday." Tucker said, cutting in. "This isn't something that we can speak of so easily, especially when the situation is still raw, and that her fucked up farther is still out and about to see Sam." Danny said. He was trying to remain calm. Obviously all their friends where going to find out about what happened. But he really, wanted to do it when Sam was ready. "No one else must know." Danny said, Valerie nodded. Valerie stood up from her seat and walked over to Sam "I know your not a hugger... only if its Danny... But I'm also here." She said, whilst giving Sam an embrace. "This explains why you want to fight.". Valerie added.
As she said that, A flashback struck Danny from what Clockwork showed him earlier.. an image of Sam in ghost form came to his mind instantly... "On second thought... maybe fighting isn't the option" Danny said, Sam stared at him with a confused look as did Valerie. "Why not? it would be good for her?" Valerie questioned? Danny shook his head. "I know, she doesn't need any more training than she already knows." At this moment, Sam pulled herself away from him. "You said I could? what's changed?" Sam asked. Danny shrugged his shoulders, " I don't think it's a safe idea." The two girls exchanged looks between one another. "It's not up for you to decide.. I want to do this Danny." Sam said as she was now standing next to Valerie. "Theirs only one way to solve this... a vote." Valerie said.
She moved herself towards the centre of the living room "Mr and Mr's Fenton!" shouted Valliere. "What are you doing?" Danny said as he stood up from the sofa. "Making this a fair vote." She said, she glanced towards Sam who smiled. Just then Mr and Mrs Fenton Kids entered the living room "Do you know where Jazz is?" Valerie asked. "She's out with a friend, what's up kids?" Maddy said.
"where making a vote. To settle this problem. Sam wants to learn how to fight properly, Danny does not approve although we think its a fine idea. The vote should be equal." Sam nods, i mean this is her kind of debate after all. "Hold up, Danny, why don't you like the idea?" Maddy asked her son. Danny took a moment to stare at his mum. "What if she gets hurt? or taken? What if Vlad takes her?" Danny said, naming all bad answers under the sun. "you don't get it, We will teach her basic defence and attack skills, as well as using the ghost equipment at the right time." Valerie said. Danny still shook his head no. "Screw it all, who votes in order for Sam to learn how to fight"
Maddy raised her hand "I will train my new daughter, like one of my own." she said with a graceful smile.
Jack shook his head no "I agree with my son." He said, earning a smile from Danny.
Tucker raised his hand "You're not teaching me though, I'm a geek nerd at heart. Plus it's my wingshot with the ladies..." Tucker said with a laugh.
"So that's four votes for yes... two votes for no.. Sorry Danny, you're out numbered." Valerie said. She walked over to Sam and gave her a hug.
"That settles it." Said Danny, he instantly went ghost and flew straight up, disappearing himself from everyone. "I'll go talk to him." Sam said as she began to walk in the same direction Danny went... The roof.
When Sam found Danny, he was sitting right on the edge of the roof. "You hate me?" Sam asked as she sat herself down next to him. "Hate.. no, betrayed.. yes." Sam looked down, she didn't want him to see the hurt in her eyes from his words. "I don't understand, yesterday you was fine with it... tell me what's changed?" Sam asked him. She heard him sigh a little. "I'm always putting you in danger, this... would increase that problem." Danny said. He new this was likely to cause a problem 'Damn clockwork..' Thought Danny. Sam took his hand "You're wrong, if anything... this will help me out of danger. Less worries on your behalf.. I am strong you know, defending what rights are mine" She said, a small smile appeared on Danny's lips. "I know that, but I also enjoy protecting what is mine." Danny said, facing her, he reached out and tucked some of her hair behind her ears.
"You'll always protect me." Sam whispered quietly, Danny closed the gap between them and rested his forehead against hers. "Without a doubt I will, if I let you fight, you will promise me.. that you wont go to heroic?" Sam nods in agreement. She places a sweet kiss on his lips. "Today has just been weird." Grumbled Danny pulling himself away from her. "Why?" Asked Sam... "First off... Clockwork sends Skulker, then after what I see... I blast some boulders in the ghost zone and have a genuine short talk with Skulker." Sam laughs "I think Ember is rubbing him soft." Danny says with a smirk. "Clearly, even though she is supposed to be pure evil!" Said Sam. The two share a laugh.
"Head back?" Said Sam, as she stood up and extended her hand for his to join. Danny takes her hand. He turns himself into his ghost form and goes invisible, bringing them both down to his room. "This isn't the living room." Sam said with a smile. "I know, they can wait." Said Danny as he moves his hands up around her neck and slowly kisses her, he feels Sam melt into his embrace. He closes his eyes for a moment, when they both open their eyes, Danny is shocked when her see's her violet eyes are no longer violent.. They're green. He gently pushes her away. "Danny?" Sam said. Danny shook his head a couple of times, when he next looks at Sam, her eyes are back to violet. "Sorry, had an itch." Danny said.
Sam rolls her eyes, "Sure you did, lets go get you some coffee." with that, she takes his hand and guides him out of his room, where they can join the others.
as they walk downstairs... Danny remembers clockworks voice "My visions are never wrong..."
As they entered the living room, it was just Tucker and Valerie sitting on the floor, sat in front of the tv. "grumpy returns! your mum and dad are making us all dinner!" Valerie said, as she scooted over so Sam can join her side "Awesome, I'm kinda hungry" Danny said with a grin. Sam merely rolls her eyes. Valerie offers Sam some popcorn who takes a handful, she throws one straight at Danny which pings off his chest, "Hey!" he said, laughing. "So do you mind me asking, where you're staying now?" Valerie asked Sam. "I've moved in with Danny, my mum decided she needed to get away from here for awhile." Sam said, as she munched on some more popcorn. "Well if you ever fancied, your welcomed to stay round mind, if you get bored of moody pants over here." Valerie said which caused the girls to both laugh "Sure, ill keep that in mind, after all we both Gotta do community service soon." Said Sam, both Danny and Tucker had a confused look.. "Err, community service? wanna explain that one?" Said Tucker.
"We didn't want to do the assignment in todays class, so in return we Gotta do stuff for the school." Danny arched an eyebrow "What was the assignment?" Danny questioned, "Frog dissection." Said Sam, she instantly laughed when she saw his face turn to an awful sickly shade of green, ready to vomit. "It's okay we saved a couple of dead frogs for you if you really want them." Sam said, Danny shook his head "I'll pass on the offer." Danny said.
"Kids, dinners ready in five!" shouted Maddy from the kitchen, just then Jazz had walked into the living room. "Hey, little brother and his dorky friends." Said jazz, the gang looked up to see Jazz, but they where all shocked when they saw who was standing next to her.
"Why is she here?" questioned Valerie, she stood up from her spot, folded her arms angrily against her chest. When Tucker noticed the new figure, he instantly fell off his chair, making a clear loud thud noise for everyone to hear "Smart move, Tuck." whispered Danny with a grin, "Shut it." Tucker said, he quickly stood up from his fallen spot.
the new figure standing next to Jazz was indeed, Star... the supposed to be best friend of Paulina Sanchez. "She's making a change, wants to be on our side." Jazz said. Everyone suddenly gave each other awkward looks "Yeah right." Said Sam, she to had moved from her spot and joined Valerie by her side. "No, seriously, she doesn't want to be best friends with a bitch anymore. She brushed Paulina off today in front of EVERYONE in the mall, it was so funny!" Jazz said as more laughter began to fill the room. Star smiled from the previous event, "It's true, I've had enough." Star said, as she said that. She looked over to where Tucker is and smiled a little. "I'd like to be around decent people, who actually care for their friends." Star added.
"How can we trust you?" Danny enquired. "Danny..." spoke Jazz, but Danny cut her off half way "No, how can she prove that she's serious and not mocking us about." Danny said. At that point, everyone kind of understood what he meant by that.
"I can give you my word, judge me as you want to. I want to be apart of your group. to prove it... This is Paulina's friendship bracelet... I thought it generally meant something.. but obviously not." Star said as she threw the bracelet in the trash can shocking everyone in sight. "I promise I'm not here to hurt any one of you. that's where me and Paulina are different." Star said, Jazz smiles, she already knows this. But she was waiting for the others to come to terms with it all. "Fine, one move out of line or if you hurt my sisters, your out!" Danny said. Star nods in agreement.
"Alright kids who's ready for some grub, Sam I've fixed you up some vegan safe friendly food." everyone nods "Can star join us too mum?" Asked Jazz, Maddy nods "Of course she can!" with that the teens made their way into the kitchen where they can sit down and enjoy a family meal surrounded by the people they care and love. Of course, their was one thought stuck at the back of Danny's mind.. Sam being a ghost. He's going to have to deal with that matter when the issue comes.
