_X_ ON THE BUS TO HANOVER _X_ THIRD PERSON P.O.V.
As the bus made its way to Hanover, John looked at Toka holding the Red Velvet Box in his hands, opened after he proposed to her. In the box was a Gold Ring with diamonds and Emeralds on top. Toka was speechless, the man she was in love with just proposed to her. She wiped the tears away and nodded her head and said in a whisper so only John could hear, "Yes, of course I'll marry you." John smiled and after sliding the ring onto Toka's hand, they two shared a kiss as fiancé and fiancée. As Toka laid her head on her fiancé, John looked across from him at Mr. Karasuma who was on the phone. After Mr. Karasuma hung the phone up, he looked at John and said, "They'll be waiting for us at the Cemetery. Are you sure you want him to be free that long?" John nodded his head and said, "Yes, I want his day and his girlfriend's day to be ruined by it."
"I understand that. But if you do this, he'll probably disown you." replied Mr. Karasuma. John looked at the Bus floor and said, "He might do that, but I don't care. Like I said on the plane, you guys are my new Family, and I'm happy to have you guys." Mr. Karasuma smiled and said, "Of course, especially since you popped the question to Toka." John's face went to a shade of red that was inhuman when he blushed. John then looked at Mr. Karasuma and said, "Y...you heard me ask?" Mr. Karasuma nodded his head and said, "Yup, in fact everyone heard you." John sat up frozen as he slowly lifted his phone to put it on Camera mode and after flipping the camera, John saw that everyone was looking at him in the front as Karma was writing something on a notepad and when John saw what he was writing, he gulped.
On the notepad, Karma wrote, "Well… what did she say?" John sighed, woke Toka up and said to her, "They know I asked you the question and they want to know your answer." Toka looked behind her and saw everyone facing them. So she decided to stand up and said, "Yes, I said yes. As of right now, I am John's fiancée." Everyone cheered the moment Toka finished speaking. Kayano, Muramatsu, and Kanzaki hugged Toka as they congratulated her as Nagisa, Karma, and Sugino shook John's hands. Soon everyone congratulated the two and were settled down as Kayano asked, "So when's the wedding gonna be?"
"We haven't gotten that far yet Kayano. When we decide on a date, you will be the first to know. Toka said to her friend. Then John said, "It will be, however, at our Headquarters. At least that's where I think it should be. Give the wedding a special feeling. Not to mention that it wouldn't be fair to have it anywhere else because Korosensei and Kayano's Sister both worked there and it would only be right for the Octopus's story book in the Afterlife." Everyone looked at John with a look of Shock and Toka said, "Really?"
John nodded his head and said, "Yeah, the building is more than just our headquarters, it has sentimental Value for you all and I want our wedding to be there so it's not only special for you and me, but is also a wonderful location for a wedding. What do you say?" Toka shed a single tear and kissed John with a quick peck on the lips and said, "I like it, that's where it will be then." Then Kayano gave Toka a look that confused John and he heard Toka say, "Go ahead Kayano. I won't mind"
Kayano smiled and kissed John on his Cheek, shocking everyone. Kayano then said, "That's for the location idea for your wedding. I'm sure Korosensei and my sister would appreciate it." John smiled and said, "Of course Kayano, I just feel like the old Cram School would be Ideal because not only is it the base of our group, but it also has personal ties to everyone in the group. It would seem only natural that we have the wedding there.
_X_ LATER IN HANOVER _X_
Arriving at the Bus stop in Hanover, John and the Others got off the bus with their Luggage and walked to the nearest Hotel, which Ironically enough was called the Bertrand Hotel, one of the best hotels in Hanover. Toka looked at John and asked, "Does your family…?" John looked at her and said, "Own this Hotel, yes they do. It was my mom's Idea and she spent most of it managing. According to my mom's will I'm supposed to get ownership of it when she passes away, guess this means it's mine now." Soon, a man in a manager's uniform walked up to him and said, "Mr. John, so happy you've come home. We heard about your mother, the Staff sends their condolences about her death." John smiled and thanked the man before he said, "Thank you Geoff, tell the staff that I appreciate it." John then looked at his friends and said, "Everyone, this is Geoff Smith, he's the Manager of the hotel, but he answers to my family." John then looked at Geoff and said, "These are my friends and my fiancée." Pulling Toka close to him before he continued saying, "I want them treated as you would treat my family at the hotel."
"Of course sir, shall you all be staying in the Penthouse suite?" Geoff Asked John, who nodded his head and said, "Also inform my father that I'm here and in the Penthouse." Geoff nodded his head and said "Of course sir." Geoff then said to Nagisa and the rest of the group, "I welcome you all to the Bertrand Hotel. As guests of Mr. John, the Staff and I will give you our assistance with anything you need. Just call down to the Main lobby and ask for it, free of charge." Everyone was shocked as Geoff and John led them into the Hotel and up to the Penthouse. Along the way, Staff Members stopped what they were doing and said, "Welcome back Mr. Bertrand.", or, "Mr. Bertrand, it's good to see you." or, "Mr. Bertrand, you have our Condolences."
Toka leaned towards John and said, "Wow, I still can't believe your family owns this hotel." and John said, "Yeah, it was mostly my mom and I who oversaw things. My dad came on occasion, but it was mostly just my mom and I. I've even helped out the Staff here when they needed it." Soon Geoff led them to the Elevators and said, "These Elevators will take you to the 19th Floor. From there, Mr. Bertrand will lead you to the Penthouse. Only he and his family know where the Key is so he will unlock the penthouse for you." John thanked Geoff and before they got into the elevator, Geoff stopped him and said, "I'm also letting you know sir, that your father was in there last week with another woman that wasn't your mother."
"Thank you Geoff, I appreciate that information." replied John. John then led Toka, Nagisa, Kayano, Mr. Karasuma, Miss. Jelavic, Sugino, Kanzaki, Okuda, and Karma into one of the elevators with their luggage as the others went into the other elevators evenly and they rode them to the 19th Floor. Along the way, Toka, Nagisa, Kayano, Mr. Karasuma, Miss. Jelavic, Sugino, Kanzaki, Okuda, and Karma could all tell that John was angry. That he wanted to beat the living daylights out of his father. Toka wrapped her arms around John's arm, causing him to look at her, sigh, and he said, "I know what you're all thinking, that I want to beat the living daylights out of my father. You're all right, I do want to beat the living daylights out of him. But if I did, that would be grounds for assault. I'm not risking everything I have now because my father betrayed me and my mother. He'll get the Justice he deserves, but through a Court, not A Vengeful son."
"You're right about a few things there John. We were thinking about how much you wanted to beat the living daylights out of your father. It would also be grounds for Assault, if anyone else besides us would see it." Then Nagisa said, "If you did punch him in the face, none of us would speak against you." Then Kayano spoke and she said, "It was wrong what your father did and he needs to pay." That was when Mr. Karasuma said, "it would also be his words against your word and the words of your team members, his argument wouldn't last long in court." That was when ritsu said through Okuda's phone, "I can also change any camera's positioning and blur out the footage in case you were ever going to do it."
John sweatdropped and said, "Are you guys trying to get me to assault my dad before he goes to Jail." But before anyone could answer, the Elevator they were on reached the 19th Floor. John led them out of the elevator and with the rest of the group, told them, "The Penthouse is this way guys, follow me." John then began walking with the group following him. Along the way, Terasaka caught up to them and said, "Hey John, since your family owns this Hotel, I take it you went to some fancy School?" but John shook his head and said, "My parents actually sent me to a Public School, made some good friends. The highschool just happened to have a Course for Japanese and a Foregin Exchange Program and I got to go to Japan. Which led me and Toka meeting and me meeting the rest of you and the formation of the Hunter Classroom. So all in all, Public School was good for me." Terasaka nodded his head and soon they reached a doorway and after getting a key from a secret compartment in the wall, John opened the doors to the Penthouse suite.
_X_ A FEW MINUTES LATER _X_
After showing everyone around the Penthouse and getting them situated, John heard a knocking on the door and when he answered it, there was his father. John wanted to slam the door shut since the Key was inside the Penthouse, but he squashed that idea and said, "Father…" and all John got in response from his father was, "John… Good to see you made it back for the Funeral." John nodded his head and before he could say anything else, his father pushed passed him and walked into the Penthouse and saw everyone there. After dusting himself off, John walked up to stand next to his father and said, "Everyone this is my Father, Scott Holder Bertrand. Father, these are the friends I've made in japan along with Mr. Karasuma and his girlfriend Miss. Irina Jelavic."
John's father then bowed and said in Japanese, "Greetings, I'm honored that my son has made friends in Japan." and Mr. Karasuma replied, "I see you're well taught in Japanese. John was an excellent student in my class." John gave Mr. Karasuma a weird look and a look that Mr. Karasuma took as John saying, 'You need to explain that to me later.' John then looked at his father and said, "Well Dad, is there a reason for this or did you just come to say hello?" and John's father said, "I just wanted to make sure your friends are going to be comfortable sleeping in the hotel."
John nodded his head and called Toke over and said, "Dad, meet Toka Yada, my fiancée." John's father had a look of shock, but quickly got his composure back and said, "Congratulations son, I hope I get invited to the wedding." John nodded his head but everyone in the room, besides John's father, thought, 'Good luck making it from jail asshole.'
_X_ LATER, IN THE PENTHOUSE _X_
After introducing everyone to his father, John showed his father to the door and after he left, John slid down the wall near the door and sat on the floor. Toka walked over to John and sat on his lap. She then said, "I can see why you hate your father, he gave me an Asshole vibe." John nodded his head and said, "Yeah, I'll be so glad when this whole Ordeal is over and done." That was when Ritsu appeared on John's phone and said, "John, I have all the information ready to send to the Hanover Police Department on your command." John thanked Ritsu and told her to send them the Information. Since they were going to be at the Cemetery anyway waiting for the warrant." Ritsu nodded her head and sent the information.
John then grabbed Toka by her ass and got up and placed her on the ground as he walked into the living room where everyone was and said, "Since my dad told us the Funeral's tomorrow, make sure that you're wearing your best. If he tries to run though, let's give the Police assistance and make sure he doesn't run far, okay guys?" Everyone nodded their heads and before going to bed, John sighed and said, "Hang on guys, one last thing." After everyone settled back down, John said, "I want to make sure that I have your trust, and I mean all of it."
"Yeah man, you have our trust, so what's up?" said Karma. John nodded his head and after taking a big breath in and letting it out, John reached to the back of his neck, and peeled off what looked like tape and said in his head to Rock and Creed, "Show yourselves." and Creed said, "Are you sure?" causing John to mentalli nod his head and afterwards, Rock and Creed appeared, surprising everyone. John then said, "They were given to me when I was in middle school. The United States Government trained me to kill Korosensei. As I trained with the Tentacles, they revealed to me that they had personalities and asked me what I wanted most of all. I told them that I wanted a future where they and I could be free of the constant stress the Government was putting on us."
John continued by saying, "After Korosensei's death by you guys, my Handler asked me if I wanted the tentacles removed or if I wanted to keep them. I thought about it and said to him that the tentacles and I have formed a bond of friendship and that I wanted to keep them. So he gave me a mixture that reduced the risk of me blowing up to less than 1%, like Okuda's mixture did to Korosensei, except I can't use the liquid trick. I then wanted to see Japan and meet the people who saved the world, I just didn't know how. When I went there as a transfer student and I met Toka, my dream was realized and I wanted to get to know her more." Then Toka said, "Which led to us getting together."
John nodded his head and said, "I kept Rock and Creed secret from you Toka, because I wasn't sure if you would accept me, that they would remind you of Korosensei. I'm really sorry for keeping them secret for so long." Toka walked up to John, and hugged him, catching John off guard. Toka then said, "You had every right to keep it secret. I'm just glad that you're sharing with us now and not at a later time." That was when Fuwa said, "Yeah, and besides, it takes away from some bad guy from telling us and finding out later." John smiled as everyone nodded their heads in agreement and thanked them all for accepting his Apology for keeping the Tentacles a secret.
Rock and Creed then went and wrapped themselves around everyone and John chuckled before he said, "They're just saying Hello after so long of being concealed, they're just really excited to get to help us with things." Toka touched one and it quickly snuggled up to her, causing her to giggle. John saw that and said, "That's Creed. They wanted to be named so I gave them names. The other tentacle is Rock. Because they both pack a punch." Everyone laughed at that comment before Mr. Karasuma said, "Okay, the Funeral's tomorrow so we need our rest. Time for bed everyone." That was when John said, "Of course, there are three guests rooms all with three beds in case of family visiting. My mom and dad have their own room, Mr. Karasuma and Miss Irina can use that one. I have my own room so Toka and I can sleep in there, if that's okay Mr. Karasuma?"
Everyone looked at Mr. Karasuma as he said, "It's up to you all. You're all adults, so you can choose to sleep with your boyfriends or girlfriends." Immediately, Toka looked at John and said, "We're sharing your bed." John chuckled and kissed Toka on the Lips before he said, "I wouldn't have it any other way." John then said, "People can sleep on the couch and if you guys want, I can have Geoff bring in extra mattresses, pillows, and Blankets from the rooms not being used so you guys can use them. Like you guys heard me tell him, you were to be treated as they would treat my family at the hotel."
_X_ NAKAMURA'S P.O.V. _X_
As John called down the main lobby for Geoff, I walked up to Sugaya and said to him, "Hey Sugaya…" he turned to look at me and asked, "Yeah Rio? What's up?" I blushed immediately before I asked, "I was wondering… if you wanted to share a bed with me tonight?" I saw him blush quickly and he said, "S...S...sure." I smiled and said okay, but inside I was squealing with Joy. I feel like John and Fuwa could tell because after Sugaya walked away, John, Toka, and Fuwa dragged me out of sight of everyone and John said, "By any chance, do you have feelings for Sugaya?" I tried to deny it, but John said, "No, don't even try to deny it. I saw you smile after he said sure. I bet inside you were squealing with joy." It was like he could look into my soul. So I sighed and said, "Okay fine, you got me. I do have feelings for Sugaya, I just wish he shared those feelings." John then smiled and said, "I'm glad you told us, because I think Sugaya heard you just admit it."
_X_ SUGAYA'S P.O.V. _X_
As I stood behind Nakamura as she slowly turned to look at me after saying that she had feelings for me and saw that I was behind her, blushing badly. I swallowed all the courage I could gather and said, "Well Nakamura, y...you don't have to worry about me not sharing those feelings, b...b...because I have feelings for you too." Nakamura looked happy as she quite literally jumped into my arms, causing me to fall on my ass and she kissed me. We heard some of the boys whistle and say things like, "Go Sugaya!" I just rolled my eyes and kissed her back and after a while, we seperated from the kiss and she laid her head on my shoulder as we sat on the floor. I then heard John say, "Maybe I should go into the relationship making business. I'm good at making couples" That caused everyone to laugh as I asked Rio if she wanted me to carry her to the bed and she said, "Yes please." I chuckled as I picked her up bridal style and walked off to a bedroom. As I carried her, I heard John say, "Practicing for the future man? Smart." I looked at him and said, "Maybe, why don't you do this with Toka?"
As if he was waiting for me to say that, he swept Toka off her feet and said to her, "Shall I carry you to our bedroom for the night my sweet Toka?" That was when Toka giggled and said, "Why yes, please carry me to our bedroom for the night my strong, Handsome man." Just then, Nagisa, Isogai, Maehara, Karma, Sugino, and Chiba asked Kayano, Kataoka, Okano, Okadu, Kanzaki, and Hayami if they wanted to be carried to their bedrooms, even Mr. Karasuma did the same with Miss Irina. John then walked over to me as the two of us held our respective girlfriends and he said to me, "We may have started something here."
I laughed as I carried Rio to one of the guestrooms John said we could use. John carried Toka to his bedroom and everyone else found a bed that they claimed for the night. After everyone went to bed, I was contacted by Ritsu who told me that John wished to speak to me, Nagisa, Karma, Isogai, and Chiba in the living room. After I told Rio that I would be back and she kissed and said, "You better be back or I'll make you come back." I chuckled and after I left the room, with Chiba following me out, we saw Nagisa, Karma, and Isogai already there waiting for us. After taking our seats, John came out with a bottle of whiskey and 6 shot glasses from the Kitchen. As he got the shots set up, he said, "I only asked for you five because I needed to ask you five this question." After getting his shot of whiskey, Nagisa asked, "What's the question John, and aren't we a little young to have Whiskey?"
"To answer your question first Nagisa is technically yes, but I've had wine coolers and beer when I was younger, but I made sure I didn't get addicted to it. As for my question, I was wondering when Toka and I decide when to have the wedding, if you guys could be the groomsmen." That caught all of us off guard, but not extremely, and Karma was the first to speak and he said, "Well, what about the best man? Have you and Toka figured that out yet?" and John said, "Not yet, but it was Toka's Idea to ask you five to be the groomsmen. She and Muramatsu have been friends since Elementary School, it caught me off guard when she suggested I ask you five and exclude him." John then drank his shot of whiskey and said, "I believe she'll explain to Muramatsu when we get back to Japan."
Then I said, "So I understand Karma, Isogai, and Nagisa, but why me and Chiba?" That was when John looked at me and said, "Because Toka respects Hayami and Nakamura and wishes that those two, along with Kayano, Kataoka, and Okadu be the Bridesmaids. As for the Maid of honor I'm not sure who she'll pick. But what do you guys say, will you be the groomsmen for the wedding." The first to stand up was Karma and he said, "Sure, and I'm sure that Okuda will be more than happy to be a Bridesmaid." Then Nagisa, Isogai, and Chiba agreed with Karma.
Then all eyes were on me. I stood up and said, "Why not, I'll do it too." John smiled and thanked the five of us as he poured more whiskey into our shot glasses and we cheered in his honor. Soon it was time for bed and we went to the respective bedrooms where our girlfriends were waiting for us.
_X_ THE NEXT MORNING _X_ THIRD PERSON P.O.V.
When John opened his eyes, he saw Toka laying next to him with her head next to his own. John smiled at the sight and kissed Toka on her lips, waking her up. Toka looked to see John's eyes looking at her. She smiled and said, "Good morning." John smiled and kissed Toka and said, "Good morning to you too my sweet Toka, did you enjoy your nap." Toka then sat on top of John's lap and said, "You know I did, shall we get the others up." John chuckled and said, "Not quite yet, I just want to lay down here with the woman I love and am engaged to just for a few more minutes." Toka smiled and leaned down and kissed John passionately as they laid in John's bed.
A few minutes later, John led Toka out of the bedroom dressed in matching suit and dress. John saw that everyone was in a suit and Tie or Dress and he said, "Well, let's get to the Funeral Home. The quicker we go, the faster my dad is going to get arrested and we can go home to Japan. Everyone in the room nodded their heads and followed John out of the Penthouse and to the Funeral Home.
_X_ AT THE FUNERAL HOME _X_
When John and his friends arrived, they saw the title of the Funeral Home was the Bertrand Funeral Home. Toka looked at John, who looked at her, and pointed to the building. John nodded his head and said, "Yeah my family owns this place too, but it's being run by my Uncle on my mom's side. He was given control by my parents as long as the name stayed the same. In fact a lot of buildings in town are either owned by my family or close friends of my family, guess you could say we own the whole town at this point."
After going inside, John saw his Uncle and said, "Uncle Nick." His Uncle saw him and walked over to pull John into a headlock and said, " Hey Kiddo, haven't seen you since Middle School, where have you been?" After managing to get out of the Headlock his uncle had him in, John said, "I'm doing fine Uncle Nick. I just wish I could have seen you in better circumstances." John's uncle nodded his head and said, "Before everyone else shows up, mind introducing me to your friends?" and John said, "Of course, Uncle Nick, these are Mr. Karasuma, Miss. Jelavić, Karma Akabane, Yuma Isogai, Taiga Okajima, Hinata Okano, Manami Okuda, Megu Kataoka, Kaede Kayano, Yukiko Kanzaki, Masayoshi Kimura, Hinano Kurahashi, Nagisa Shiota, Sosuke Sugaya, Tomohito Sugino, Kotaro Takebayashi, Ryunosuke Chiba, Ryoma Terasaka, Rio Nakamura, Kirara Hazama, Rinka Hayami, Sumire Hara, Yuzuki Fuwa, Hiroto Maehara, Koki Mimura, Takuya Muramatsu, Toka Yada, Taisei Yoshida, and Itona Horibe, some of my friends and two teachers I've met while in Japan." John then pulled Toka closer to him and said, "Toka is also my fiancée."
"Well, I never thought my favorite and only nephew from my baby sister would get engaged at such a young age. Congratulations to you two, I hope your lives are long and full of memories." Said John's Uncle to him and Toka. John smiled before he lost it and said, "Is anyone with her right now?" John's Uncle knew what he meant and said, "No, everyone was waiting for you to be with her first." Toka looked at John and asked him, "Want me to go in there with you?" John nodded his head and after being led to the doors to where his mother was by his uncle, he saw the Casket she was in.
At first John was hesitant to walk in, hoping it was all still a dream, but Toka wrapped her arms around John's left arm which brought him back to reality and they slowly made their way to John's Mother. When they got there, they saw John's Mother was dressed in her favorite sunday clothes. As tears rolled down John's Cheeks, he said, "Hey mom, I'm home. I just wish it was under different Circumstances. This is Toka Yada, she's one of the friends I made in Japan. She's also my fiancée mom, she and I are engaged. I wish you could be at the wedding. I'll make sure your death doesn't go unanswered. I'll make the bastard pay for this mom, that's a promise." John then began to cry and he fell to his knees with Toka kneeling down next to him as she comforted John.
Afterwards, the rest of John's and Toka's friends came in to pay their respects to John's mother, telling her that she raised a wonderful and smart man that could eventually lead armies one day (Mr. Karasuma) after everyone sat down. John saw his Father and his Father's girlfriend walk in and he clenched his fist. After everyone got in their seats, a priest came in and he did his speech (A.N.: I have no clue what it's called for the life of me.) Soon it was time to put John's mother in the cemetery, and John's father and his father's girlfriend in Jail. As they drove to the Cemetery, John and Toka were being driven to it by John's father with his father's girlfriend in the Passenger seat.
"So son, once we place your mother in the ground, there are a few things we should discuss. Like the hotel for instance, I think it would be wise that I take full control over it since I'm sure you'll be going back to Japan for college. Then there's the Funeral Home. Your Uncle Nick always hated me so I think he should be fired and Sarah here take it over. Not to mention the Restaurant that your Aunt manages, I have a friend who would be better in her position." Toka looked at John and said, "Your family owns a restaurant?" John nodded his head and said, "Like I said, the name Bertrand is well known around Hanover." Soon the Funeral Service arrived at the Town's Cemetery. When John's father got out of the Car, two Police Cars rolled up, along with the Commissioner's car. After getting out, the Police Commissioner, John's second Cousin once removed on his mother's side came up to John's father and said, "Scott…" and John's Father said, "Gordon, didn't see you at the Funeral Home."
"Well we were waiting for you to get here so I can have the satisfactory of arresting you for Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, and Manslaughter in the first Degree." John's father was speechless until a policeman took his arms and placed him facing the car and Scott said, "What? That's preposterous." Gordon Bertrand then said, "We received an email for an Anonymous source with evidence that shows you meeting with the man that struck your wife and audio recording from cell phones and cameras that have you telling him to kill your wife. Not to mention that we're also arresting your girlfriend for the same charges." Soon a Policewoman took Sarah's arms and placed them behind her back and Sarah said, "Wait, I had nothing to do with that, it was all Scott's idea."
"YOU FUCKING BITCH?! I ONLY GOT HER KILLED BECAUSE YOU SAID THAT WE SHOULD KILL HER?!" Scott shouted to Sarah. After escorting them to the Police Cars, Gordon walked up to John and said, "I appreciate your friend giving us the Information, Your dad and his Accomplice will be going to jail for a long time." John nodded his head and said, "I'm just glad I don't have to deal with him anymore, I just want to forget he's alive and get back to my life in Japan." Gordon nodded his head and said, "Of course, I'll talk to the Family and we'll make sure things run smoothly back here." Then John nodded his head and said, "Also, this is Toka Yada, my fiancée."
Gordon smiled and said, "Welcome to the family Toka." Toka Nodded her head and said, "Thank you, and does everyone in the bertrand family speak Japanese?" John nodded his head and said, "Yeah, we traced back our ancestry and apparently, my Great, Great, Grandfather on my Mom's side was originally from Japan. So ever since we found that out, we studied Japanese."
_X_ A FEW MINUTES LATER _X_
After everyone was at the Cemetery, they said their final goodbyes to John's mother as they lowered her to the ground.
