Number 18 jumped up and hugged his best friend number 2. Greg House had scored the winning goal. James Wilson gripped his mate as their team mates piled onto them. Greg laughed as they toppled from their goalie slamming into them. He and James laughed for a while until they hauled themselves up to head off to the party.

House stared out across the field, that was his favorite memory, his last ever lacrosse game. He had been captain of his team, Stacy and Lisa Cuddy had been in the crowd. Three days later he was a patient and James had given up lacrosse and running sheerly because House couldn't do them with him. But that was old news. He gripped his cane; he had been here many times before reliving many of his memories.

A small hand was placed on his shoulder he turned and smiled at the threeb people behind him.

A small dark six year old girl was being held up to his level by her mother, Lisa Cuddy, an identical small boy of the same age was holding her hand.

"Dad? What's wrong?"

House smiled sadly at his daughter "I'm just remembering something."

Samantha and William House wriggled out of their mothers grip and took their Father's hand and tugged him out onto the field. House allowed them; he glanced back at Cuddy "Coming?"

She smiled and strode to catch up. The two children let go of his hands and chased each other around their parents. Cuddy slipped under House's arm and smiled up at him. "Last game?"

"Yeah, me and Wilson kicked ass."

"I remember that, you all fell over because of Sam running into the hug."

"He was one solid ass"

Cuddy laughed, House grinned and kissed her quickly "Come on, lets take these ferals home."

He whistled and the twins came running back. House smiled slightly at their energy, as they grabbed their parents' hands and dragged them back to the red corvette that was in the hospital car park.

No good to dwell and wish on times past, just as long as he remembered what has passed.

A/N I thought up this sweet little one shot when I was watching paternity. It will stay as a one shot but I might write more using the same characters. Like snapshots of life! I'm not sure maybe? Please R&R
