Anyway, on with the story
_X_ HUNTER CLASSROOM, AFTER THE PORTAL CLOSED _X_ THIRD PERSON P.O.V.
"What just happened?" That was what Megu asked after John and Toka went through the Purple Portal and it closed as they tried to answer that, but no one had any ideas on what happened. Soon another Purple Portal opened behind Karma and he saw Itona holding the Portal Gun with younger versions of themselves with what looked like a younger Chiba pointing a gun at John and Toka and other members of the Hunter Classroom. That was when Karma said "What the- John? Toka? What's-" but he couldn't finish as the glove began to spark and smoke starting to come out of it. Itona hissed in pain, ripping off the glove. Ripping, because the glove had melted his skin inside, causing the glove to stick to his flesh. The portal then cracked before it closed with a bang, sending everyone back. As they got up, Okuda said, "Amazing, I think John and Toka were sent into the past."
"But I don't remember ever seeing John or Toka at whatever point they were at. Hell, I didn't even recognize that room." Said Karma. Then Megu said, "Then, maybe it was a different universe?" everyone looked at her and Nagisa said, "What, you think they're in a different Universe?" Megu replied, "Maybe, that's just a guess is all. Itona, Karma, the boy who was pointing the gun at John and Toka, I can only assume he was Chiba, all looked younger than John and Toka. Not to mention that there was another Toka there." The Okadu said, "Yeah, That would make some sense." Soo another Purple portal appeared where the last one was and this time, John stepped through it, with the Portal Gun in hand. Next to him was Toka with a baby in her arms, who was wide awake.
After John closed the Portal behind them. He looked at his stunned friends and said, "Hey guys, you missed us?" and the first to speak was Megu and she said, "You were gone for only like a few moments, we were still trying to wrap our heads around what happened. Also, IS THAT YOUR BABY?!" Toka then put a finger to her lips and said, "Shh, I don't want Masaru to start crying." John then helped his wife to a chair to sit down in and Toka said, "John, I told you I'm fine."
"I know you did, but I still want to make sure that you and little Masaru get all the rest you two need." John told Toka before looking at the group and saying, "I know you all have questions, but right now, I want to get Toka and our son back home so they can get some rest." Megu Nodded her head, as did everyone else. Megu then walked over to Toka and said, "He's Adorable. You said his name was Masaru?" Toka nodded her head and said, "Yup, and it took his daddy's calming voice to make sure that he lived."
Everyone looked at John, who rubbed the back of his head and said, "I'll explain what she meant when I tell you about it tomorrow, but I think it's time for us to go home, wouldn't you agree, Toka?" Toka nodded her head and after standing up, was helped by John and Megu to the door and their truck so John could drive the three of them home.
_X_ THE NEXT DAY _X_ THIRD PERSON P.O.V.
After making sure Toka and Masaru were well fed, John kissed both of them goodbye before heading to the Headquarters to explain everything. On the way out, he ran into Toka's Parents and he said, "She's inside waiting, along with your grandson. She'll explain." Toka's Parents nodded at their Son-in-Law and headed inside as John got into his truck and drove to the Headquarters, where everyone was waiting for him. In the Briefing Room, John saw that everyone was present, minus Toka. when he got to the front, he faced everyone and said, "Before I explain what happened to everyone, for those who are concerned for Toka and the Baby, they are both fine. The Baby's as healthy as can be."
"That's great to hear. Now what happened on the other side of the Portal." Nagisa asked John, who replied, "Well… After Toka decided to shove me through the Portal and followed behind me, it closed."
_X_ OTHERSIDE OF PORTAL _X_ JOHN'S P.O.V.
After we saw the Portal closed, I tried to reopen it, but nothing worked. Toka then asked me, "What happened?" I looked back and forth between her and the Portal Gun and said, "I don't know. This machine must've malfunctioned in some way. At least we know it works." Just then, the door of the room we were in got kicked open and a teenager, who we didn't know was Chiba at the time, pointed a gun at us and he shouted. "Hands up! Now!" We were startled at first, but we did put our hands up before Toka said, "John?" and when I said, "Yeah?" Toka told me, "You're sleeping on the couch."
"Damn John, you got your ass in trouble." Said Terasaka. John then said, "Yeah, well I get back at her in a little bit. But anyway, where was I…" Then Fuwa said, "You were told by Toka that you were sleeping on the Couch, and I like how Crusherboy93 added a little break so Terasaka could interrupt you telling us the story." John nodded his head and said, "Same. So anyway, she just told me that I would be sleeping on the Couch.
"Wait." said the teenager as he looked at Toka. The looks in his eyes looked like he recognized Toka, but he kept his pistol at the ready for him to fire. He then said, "Get onto the ground, now." I then said, "Look, buddy, I know that this looks bad, but just let us explain all this." But Young Chiba said, "You can explain to the rest of the group, but for now, get on the ground." As I tried to speak again, Toka said, "Let's figure this out later John. for now, we should just listen to him." I looked at her before looking back at Young Chiba and I told him, "Uh, well you see, I'm not sure that that's a good idea. For Toka at least. See, she's pregnant. And-"
But Young Chiba interrupted me after I mentioned Toka's name and said, "Toka?" that confused the hell out of me and I said, "Yeah. Toka Yada?" but Young Chiba looked at me with Disbelief and he said as his eyes narrowed, "Yeah, right. Last I checked, she's not pregnant, she's not married, she's not an adult, and she's downstairs." and that made me say, "Wait, really? Oh, crap." A bullet whizzed by my head, accompanied by a loud bang. Toka and I both flinched back at the sound.
'The fucker fired a shot at me and he could have hit Toka!' I thought as Young Chiba said, "The next shot won't miss. Tell me who you are, what's your plan, and-" But I didn't let him finish. I narrowed my eyes and told Rock, 'Take out that Pistol' After that, Rock, who was completely black, shot out. He impaled Young Chiba's pistol, shattering it, and making his eyes widened. Toka wrapped her arms around my left as she said, "John, calm down. He's just confused. I mean, from what he could tell, there's two Tokas in this very building." I sighed and said Sheepishly, "Oh yeah, good point."
I then looked at Young Chiba and said, "Sorry about your pistol." that was when he darted into his vest, pulled out another one, and pointed it at me as he said "Don't worry. I've got more." Young Chiba then said, in a demanding voice, "How do you have those tentacles?!" I gave him an Impassive look as Rock shot back out to try to impale the Pistol, but Young Chiba dodged it. He then fired back at me, grazing my cheek. I was caught completely off guard but that and he said, "Try it again, and I won't hold back."
"ENOUGH!" said a younger looking version of Toka as she marched along with some other younger looking versions of everyone, the younger versions of Karma, Isogai and Kayano held pistols. young Yada had a knife, young Sugino had a bat, and young Okuda held vials of chemicals, and some Experimental grenades too. When young Yada saw Toka, she froze completely. Young Karma then asked us, "Who are you two?" keeping his pistol pointed at us. Then Toka said, trying to defuse the Situation, "Look, can we just all settle down, and take a seat?" That was when Rinka and Itona walked in and Rinka asked, "What's going on?" in their hands had boxes of Chicken.
"MMMMMmm, Chicken." John said, visibly drooling. Kayano then shouted, "JOHN! Finish the story." that snapped John out of his trance and he said, "Right, so anyway…"
Young Rinka froze like Young Toka did when she saw the two of us. That was when Young Itona zeroed in on the Portal Gun and asked as he walked over and picked it up, "What's that? Some bootleg portal gun?" and as he slid it on, I said, "Oh, uh, I don't think you should do that." but Young Chiba told me, "Be quiet." as I tried to speak again, young Itona pressed a button and another Purple portal appeared and we saw Karma.
"Yeah. I know, it caught me off guard. One moment, I see you, Toka, and younger versions of members in the group. The next, I got blown backwards when the Portal closed with a bang." Said Karma. John nodded his head and said, "That happened in the other world too. A lot of people were knocked out or injured, luckily I wrapped Rock and Creed around Toka to make sure that she and Masaru were safe. Anyway...
After the little bang, a younger Version of Nagisa came back from a meeting with Mr. Karasuma and saw what happened. At that point Karma and those who weren't seriously injured had Cuffs on me and Toka. I could have broken the cuffs, but Toka and I were outnumbered and I didn't want to risk it. As we sat against the wall, Younger Nagisa had a Katana pointed at us while Young Yada was observing us, and occasionally poking Toka in the Cheek. Young Isogai and Young Sugino were Observing us as well. That was when I saw Young Okuda shake Young Chiba as she tried to get him up, she kept saying, "Ryu…" that made me think, 'That's Chiba?! But he doesn't look like a Hentai Protag.'
"SERIOUSLY?!" Shouted Chiba. John put his hands up and said, "Sorry man, but that was the first thing that came to my head. You had no Bangs in that world, what did you expect?" Chiba Banged his head against his desk and groaned. John then said, "Back to what I was saying...:"
After a while, Young Chiba did wake up and he and Young Okuda banged heads. Rock and Creed may have snickered at that, but I told them to knock it off. After that, Young Chiba said, "Sorry about that Okuda." He then walked over to Young Rinka as she and Young Kayano were rubbing their head and Young Chiba asked if she was okay and she told him, "Yeah. Can't say the same for Itona." Rinka grimaced.
Young Chiba looked towards young Itona. His arm was horribly burned and mangled, covered in medicine, from what he saw in the seconds before Karma finished wrapping it in bandages. I felt bad for Young Itona. Young Chiba then looked toward the Portal Gun. He walked over to it, picked it up, and carried it over to young Nagisa and us. When he got to us, Young Chiba handed it over to Young Nagisa and said, "This is the device that damaged Itona's arm." Young Nagisa took the Portal Gun from young Chiba after he sheathed his katana. He examined it before looking towards me and asked me, "What's this?"
Trying to make the situation less Hostile, I said, "You know, I knew you were a badass, but it seems like you mellow out with age." But that didn't work as young Nagisa got closer and said, "One of my friends had half his arm melted together from this thing. I'm not in the mood. What is this." I looked over at young Itona, and felt bad for him. I looked back at young Nagisa and said, "Right, right. Sorry. That there is a Portal Gun." That was when Young Karma walked over to us and said, "What, from the video game?"
"We think it's based on that. Apparently, it's supposed to be some sort of super weapon that a certain group of people are trying to perfect. We tested it out, but it was fine with us. Don't know why it did that to Itona." I explained. I then saw that young Itona was up and walking over to us.
"Why do you say young before you say our names?" asked Itona. John looked at the White haired Emo and said, "Well, I find it's easier to do that. Also Crusherboy93 thought so too." Then Fuwa said, "Makes sense, it's his side of the Crossover now anyway guys. Let him finish. Please continue John." John smiled and thanked Fuwa before continuing
"It probably overheated. A machine like that, there's a chance that transferring people through time wasn't good for the battery." Itona grabbed the machine with his good hand. "Ritsu and I will look over this, but I doubt we'll be able to figure out much. This sort of thing isn't exactly something you can just Joogle, and I'm not at that level yet." The younger versions of the Hunter Classroom all looked at a Machine that I can only assume was to be used to create or replace parts of an actual human body with bones and tissue, for more serious wounds. Looked like it's been worked on for a full week and I could definitely tell Itona was the one working on it.
At that point, I could only assume that they thought, 'Not at that level my ass.' to be honest, I thought the same thing. As we talked, Rock and Creed continually asked me to let them break the cuffs but I said in my head, 'NO! We're in enough hot water as it is, no need to get into more hot water.' As I said that, I heard Young Chiba asked Young Itona, "How do you know they travel back in time?" Young Itona looked at him and said, "We saw a grown up version of Karma didn't we? What else could that mean?"
"Except I have no Memory of this?" said Young Toka. Then Young Kayano added to the conversation by saying, And that Karma, if it really was Karma, was genuinely surprised. I've been acting for over 10 years, and never once saw anyone who can 100% mimic a surprised expression." That was when Young Karma said, "It could be the Multiverse Theory." Young Nagisa looked at Young Karma and asked, "You mean the theory that there are an infinite amount of timelines and universes?" Young Karma nodded his head and said, "That's the one."
Then I said, in more of a proposal Idea way, "Actually, I think that instead of transporting us to the past, the machine transported us to another timeline." All the Younger versions looked at me and Young Itona asked, "What makes you say that?" I then mentioned, "The fact that Yada doesn't seem to know me. We met in the third year of highschool." but Young Toka stopped and asked, "Wait, the beginning, middle, or end."
"Beginning." I told the Younger Toka, who replied, "But I never met you." That was when Young Rinka said, "Wait, how do we even know the portal gun worked? How do we know it was even real? It could've been an illusion or hologram or something." Then Young Itona said, "It was real. When I opened the portal, I felt a blast of cold air, like walking into an air conditioned room after a day in the hot summer sun, and the game room has no air conditioning." Then Young Nagisa said, "Then at the very least, we know that the portal was real." Nagisa said. He turned to John. "How did you get your hands on such advanced technology?"
I looked at him and told him and the other listeners the truth. I said to him, "We're bounty hunters. We stormed a building with the rest of our group and found that. I decided to test it out by doing it like in the game. You know, shooting towards the ground, and then the ceiling. Creating a falling loop." That was when Young Karma said, "Why would you shoot it towards the ground? Everyone knows you have to shoot it up first." I looked at him and said, "Hey, that's how I always did it in the game."
That was when Young Nagisa summed it up and he said,"So, you shot it at the ground, a portal opened up, and you ended up here?" I shrugged my shoulders and said, "Yeah, that just about sums it up." Then Young Kayano deadpanned as she said, "That seems like the plot of a bad action flick."
"I like that Kayano, she and I hate the same kind of movies, bad Action flicks are the fucking worst." said Kaede. John then said, "I believe it, anyway…"
"Yeah, well, that's the chapter AzureWriter83 and Crusherboy93 wanted." I said to them, breaking the fourth wall. Then everyone looked at me and said, "Wait, what?" But Toka told them as she shook her head "Just ignore that, it's just something he does." Then young Rinka said, "So, we know that the portal gun works, but how do we know that they're who they actually say?" That was when young Toka said, "I know!" She then turned to Toka and said, "Tell me something that only we would know." Toka replied, "Hm. how about…" Toka leaned forward and whispered into young Toka's ear as she listened carefully before beginning to blush furiously.
Young Toka then said, as she backed away, "You could've stuck with the locker combo." Young Toka looked towards young Nagisa and nodded her head before she said, "They're legit." Then Young Karma said, "What did she say? Your fetish?" After young Toka's blush deepened, young Karma bursted out laughing before he said, "Oh my god! She did!" Young Nagisa then told young Karma, "Stop it Karma." Nagisa said. Karma chuckled before he said, "Sorry, sorry." young Nagisa turned back to me and Toka and said, "Alright, so you guys are bounty hunters too. And you found a special weapon that is an actual, working portal gun. And by accident, you were teleported into another timeline."
"Yep, that just about- wait." I said as I stood up, realizing what he just said and I added on, "You guys are bounty hunters too?" Young Nagisa nodded his head and said, "Yeah, the Hunter Classroom." Then Toka said, "Wow. Our group is called the Hunter Classroom too. Who named it?" Young Karma answered that question and he said, "Nagisa was the one who decided it, but he received a few suggestions." After young Karma was young Sugino and he said,"Kanzaki actually gave Nagisa the idea when I told her about the group." That was when I said, "Wow, same here. I guess some things are the same." Young Sugino checked his watch before he said, "Speaking of whom, I need to get going."
"Oh yeah, you have the second date." Said young Nagisa, which made me think, 'So Sugino and Kanzaki are together in this universe, nice.' as I thought that, young Sugino said, "Yep. I think I'm managing quite nicely." Then young Chiba said, "Remember what I taught you." Young Sugino nodded his head before he listed, "Yeah. Make sure to make her feel flattered, tell the truth, but don't overdo it or I'll make it look like I'm desperate." After that he walked out.
Young Rinka then looked at Young Chiba with an eyebrow raised and asked, "Isn't that how you act on the dates we go on?" Young Chiba asked her if she was complaining about him complimenting her, and she said, "I like it, just wondering." The Young Karma said, "If you guys are done, we have something else to talk about." Young Isogai nodded his head and said as he pointed to me and Toka, "Yeah, like what to do with them." That was when Young Nagisa said, "Well, supposing that they're telling the truth, the only thing we should do is find a way to get them home."
But Young Chiba said, "But the only one of us who can actually do anything about that has his arm ruined. And Ritsu is more so meant for destroying and infiltrating." He then looked at the A.I. who was listening from their phones and said, "No offense." Ritsu smiled and said, "No problem Ryu. Destruction was my primary function. And infiltration is something I taught myself. It might take a little too long for me to learn how to engineer certain materials and machines." Ritsu admitted. Young Isogai then asked, "How long do you think Itona will take to heal?"
"Judging from what I've seen, maybe a few years with intensive care." Young Nagisa said. But Young Itona said, "A few months at the least." The group stared at him, causing him to say "What? Yanagisawa's experiments gave me a healing factor. Nothing like the likes of Dante and Vergil from Demon May Cry, but strong enough to heal from this. The healing is becoming weaker, but I should have enough in me to recover from this."
"It's true, Yanagisawa's experiments gave me a healing factor. After I got the tentacles removed, it became extremely weaker." Said Itona. Then John said, "Not only that, but all of you have seen my healing factor. Back to my story…"
"Huh. Now that I think about it, Kayano did heal rather quickly from her fractured bones." Young Nagisa said. Young Isogai agreed with him and said, "Yeah, she was up and at it a bit too quickly." That was when Young Kayano said, "Wait, I wanna try something." She then went over to the side, making young Nagisa run over and grabbed her hand as she tried to cut herself with one of the knives there. Young Nagisa then said as he twisted her hand, disarming her, "Yeah, no."
"Aw come on, I wanna see if I have a healing factor." whined the young Kayano slightly as Nagisa led her away. That was when Young Itona said, "The healing factor you have would probably be much weaker than mine. For the same reason why my kinetic vision is better than yours."
"Look, whatever the reason, it might take a while for Itona to recover enough to see if he can fix the machine." Young Nagisa said. He turned to the Toka and I. "So it might take a while until you two can get home." That was when I said as young Nagisa took the they had on my wrists and had Rock and Creed help Toka up, "I'm no expert, but I'm also no slouch when it comes to machines. I can help with fixing it."
"Hm, maybe. Alright we can go for that. Until then-" said young Nagisa. He would have said more but was cut off by his phone ringing. He reached into his pocket and pulled his phone. After he said, "Hello?" I could hear his mother and she shouted, "NAGISA SHIOTA! ITS TWENTY THREE IN THE NIGHT! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE HOME TWO HOURS AGO!" Mrs. Shiota's yelling caused young Nagisa to lean away before he said, "Sorry mom, there was a, uh, situation." Mrs. Shiota then said, "Well, hurry home. Your great uncle is here." Young Nagisa then said, "Okay. I'll hurry over."
After putting his phone away, young Nagisa looked at us and said, "You guys get some rest. You two can stay here for the night," which made me say, "Oh really? Thanks." Then young Nagisa said before he left, "No problem. Classmates have to help each other." Young Chiba led Toka and I to the spare rooms. Along the way, he said,"Hey, sorry for shooting you guys." I replied, "It's cool. Not all that surprising, your reaction." Then Toka said, "But still, I don't think you should've been so fast to act like that." That was when young Chiba said,"Well, in my defense, we're in a tournament where there are several bounty hunting groups, ready to utterly trash us. I have to be a little cautious." I looked at him and questioned, "Tournament?"
"I'll tell you later." he said. "For now, time for bed." when Young Chiba opened the door, holding it open for the two of us. Toka and I walked in and young Chiba closed the door. We saw some beds, and a couch. I sweat dropped slightly at the sight of the couch before looking at Toka and saying, "So, uh, shall we go to bed?" and she said, "You're still on the couch." I looked at her and said, "Oh come on sweetie."
I then brought up the fact that she pushed me through the Portal. Then Toka said, "True, but I wanted to see it as well." Then I said, "You could have tripped and we would have lost the baby, I don't want another gone." That made Toka look at me with sorrow in her eyes and she sat down on the bed. I sighed, sat down next to her and said, "I'm sorry Toka, I shouldn't have brought that up." Toka wiped away some tears before she said, "No I'm sorry. I shouldn't have pushed you in. I just wanted to see this universe. I guess… I guess I was over anxious."
I chuckled as I let Rock and Creed out and wrapped Toka and her baby belly gently. She smiled and said, "I guess… I could let you sleep on the bed with me." I smiled and kissed my wonderful wife on her lips before we laid down and fell asleep.
"Aww, how adorable." said Karma. Making John shoot him a look that read, "Shut up Karma." John then said, "and that's how the first day of us being on the other side of the Portal went. The next day, let's just say that Chiba gets called a Hentai Protag again." Chiba slammed his head down onto his desk harder. John sweat dropped as he thought, 'He's never going to lose that title.' at the same time, chiba thought, 'I'm Never going to lose that fucking title, am I?'
