Chapter 73: Viva Last Vegans!

The Arizona State bus had gone over the Nevada border as it made its way to Las Vegas.

Gus Porter, a witch boy who now found himself in a party bus full of college students, looked out the window. After his earlier communications with Luz, he now knew where to go. His eyes widened at the bright lights and attractions of the flashy city. He saw the lights, the large hotels, the mini-Eiffel Tower, the ferris wheel, and the rising water fountain. He wondered how these humans were able to do all this without magic? What is the secret behind such vast spectacles? If only Gus has his camera or his notebook.

"This is amazing!" Gus said in awe.

"Yeah, little dude," replied one jock student. "This is the perfect place to gamble away our college tuition!"

"We're gonna party out until we pass out!" another replied as they all cheered.

Soon the bus stopped at a hotel, where the Arizona State students were dropped off. Gus stepped out, looking down at the cash he had been given.

"Thanks for handing me some snails," he told them.

"No problem, kid," an older girl told him. "Just head for the nearest bus station and I'm sure you will be able to get to where you need to go."

"Yeah, and try to stay out of trouble," another guy added as they waved to Gus. "That should be enough for a bus and some food. But are you sure you don't want to hang with us?"

"I'm alright," Gus said as he started to walk away. "Goodbye and good luck!"

"Bye!" they waved to him before the girl turned to the guy. "What did he mean by snails?"

"Who knows, must be what these kids are calling money these days," the guy shrugged as they headed into the hotel.

Gus walked around, looking at all the glowing signs and lights. "Alright, G-Man, you're in the human world, again, and you just need to find this 'station' and you'll be on your way to Gravity Falls," he declared, noticing a poster outside of a casino that piqued his interest.

Walking over, he saw that they were 'Banned for Life' posters that had images of Stan Pines and a disguised Eda.

"Grunkle Stan and Eda… they were here!" Gus realized. He shook his head. "No, I need to focus- hey, what's that?"

He went to check out the Fountain of Bellagio, watching the moving fountains in awe. "Hey, what kind of magic is being used to make the water do that? Levitation? Aquakinesis?" he asked one tourist.

"Uh… I guess, some kind of mechanism?" the tourist answered awkwardly, weirded out.

"Wow, what else can humans do without magic?" Gus asked while confusing the tourist.

Gus continued to explore the city, amazed at the colors and the sights. One of his first stops was a store where he bought headphones to cover his ears and a disposable camera so that he could take a bunch of photos.

He saw performers in the streets, including a few Elvis impersonators. This got him to think that humans may have created their own version of Grimwalkers. He spotted the peacock women and believed they must be some kind of human-peacock biped.

He snapped a photo of a human's casino. Sneaking inside, he saw many old people playing on the cash machines and he wondered how it worked. He inserted a snail into the machine and pulled the lever, getting three cherries and winning the jackpot. He was either lucky or he had glitched the system.

Once he escaped security, he was walking down the sidewalk. "I know that I shouldn't get distracted, but I can't help it, this is great!" he said before accidentally bumping into someone.

"Hey, watch it, kid!" the thuggish man told Gus.

"Whoops, heh, sorry…" Gus replied nervously, seeing a group of hoodie-wearing, tattooed men walking up to him.

"Oh you'll be sorry once you hand over those earmuffs, kid," the thug responded while Gus backed away.

"But I need these!" Gus said as he continued trying to back away.

"Don't care!" he said as Gus wasted no time, running away. "Get him!" he shouted as his gang chased after Gus through the streets.

Gus passed by some people as he ran, the group of thugs chasing after him. Gus passed by someone who the thugs also pushed past. "Hey, watch it!" she shouted before she realized that they were chasing after a kid, which alarmed her.

'Oh no!' she thought. She was a young adult woman with brown skin and frizzled, blue hair that reached her back and covered her left eye. She had a pink bow on the side of her hair, brown eyes, and wore a lavender midriff top with a red-X, black choker and spike bracelets, a black jean skirt with lavender mid-length stockings with X's, and red shoes.

Gus turned into an alleyway, which led to a dead end. "Shoot," he said as he turned around to see the thugs marching toward him.

"Better hand over those headphones if you don't want to get hurt, punk!" the gang leader shouted as he and his men marched up to Gus, until they heard a grunt from one of them.

"Leave him alone!" the Salvadoran woman shouted, having just kicked a gang member between the legs. She then punched another guy in the face.

"Take her out!" the leader ordered as his gang rushed the woman. She punched and kicked them back, while one of them recovered and grabbed her from behind, causing her to move back to hit him on the wall and force him to let her go. But then she was hit in the back by one guy's fist and was pinned to the ground. "AH! Let me go!"

"Got her, boss!" the guy replied.

When Gus saw that she was in trouble, his fists tightened. "Let her go!" he shouted while the leader brought out his knife in front of Gus. "I'm warning you, I know some tricks."

"Really? Show me?" the leader asked while holding his knife.

Gus created a spell circle and a ghoulish figure came out from the wall behind him. The leader's eyes popped out along with the rest of the gang and the woman as they saw the ghoul emerging from the wall.

"LEAVE THEM ALONE!"

The leader dropped his knife as he backed away. "Fuck! Let's get out of here!" he cried out as he and his gang fled from the alley screaming, leaving Gus and the woman behind.

As she managed to get up, she turned to Gus who made the ghoul disappear. She looked amazed, but then quickly walked up to the kid. "Hey, are you alright?"

"Yeah, but how about you? You're not hurt or anything?" he asked her.

"I'll be fine," she said, waving it off. "I'm just glad that those assholes didn't hurt you. How did you do that, by the way? Special effects or something?"

"Oh, just a little trick I've learned to scare off bullies, pretty much magic," Gus replied. "Name's Gus, by the way!"

"What are you doing out here all alone at this time?" she asked him, her tone serious. "Where are your parents?"

Gus frowned and looked down awkwardly. "Well, actually… my mom abandoned me when I was little, and my dad… disappeared."

"Oh," she replied. "I'm sorry. So you're by yourself then? There's nobody here with you?"

"Uh, yeah," Gus admitted. "I was trying to find a bus station, but then I got a bit distracted."

"Well you can't be walking around alone," she advised. "Come on, I think I can help you."

"Thanks, um… I didn't get your name," Gus pointed out.

"Vagatha," she told him.

"Well nice to meet you, Vagatha," Gus responded as he followed her out of the alley.

Elsewhere in Vegas, someone held up a device to get an energy reading. This someone… was Dr. Frakes, who was accompanied by her assistant, Terri.

"The energy readings are abysmal, Terri!" Frakes declared as she moves around her device. "There's definitely an anomaly around here!"

"Hey, uh, Dr. Frakes," Terri spoke up. "Why haven't we told Gates about this?"

"Because, Terri, this could be my chance to prove myself and be rewarded with a higher position in the organization! I will not miss out on this opportunity!" Frakes declared while tracking where the readings are coming. Terri sighed as she followed, making sure her boss didn't get herself into trouble… again.

Elsewhere in the human world, Amity had started a fire to keep herself and Ghost warm. Amity's stomach rumbled which startled Ghost, causing Amity to blush in embarrassment.

"I'm hungry," Amity explained, patting her stomach.

"With a stomach like that, you'd surely attract some of the local wildlife," Ghost replied. "Or scare them off."

"I have seen some berries around, but I have no way of knowing if they are edible or not," she mentioned. "I don't know enough about the Human Realm to know what's safe to eat."

Unknown to Amity and Ghost, someone was overhearing their conversation.

"I mean, I've eaten noodles and drank cola, but there's nothing around here like that," Amity said while the figure covered in hair listened.

Amity and Ghost heard a noise coming from a nearby bush, causing them to turn.

"What was that!?" Amity asked as she stood up while Ghost got in a defensive position.

"Probably a wild animal," Ghost suggested.

Amity summoned her abomi-fist as she walked toward the noise with Ghost. She looked behind the bushes and saw no one there… but someone had been there, as indicated by the large human-like footprints that were bigger than Ghost.

"What…?" Amity asked, looking down in amazement.

"We are not alone," Ghost realized. "What kind of human are we dealing with?"

Amity heard a noise and she looked up to catch a glimpse of a tall figure covered in hair as it went behind a tree. "I don't think we are dealing with a human…"

Back in Vegas, Vagatha had taken Gus to grab a bite to eat at a food truck. Gus ate some chili fries and wings while they sat at a table.

"Mmm, this is really good," Gus commented.

"Yeah, best wings in town," Vagatha told him. "So Gus, where are you from exactly?"

"Oh, I'm from a place called the Boiling Isles," he answered. "It's not actually somewhere you can find on Earth, since it is in the Demon Realm, actually."

"Uh-huh," Vagatha said, slightly confused. She was not sure what to make of his story. "So how did you end up here alone?"

"Well, I was heading back home with my friend, Willow, but then there was a flash of light," Gus responded. "When I woke up, I was in the desert. Then I got picked up by this Arizona State coven worm and brought me here."

Vagatha nodded, trying to piece his story together. 'It doesn't really make sense… maybe this 'Demon Realm' talk is him coping with his trauma. Could he have been trafficked and he escaped his captors?'

"What about you, Vagatha?" Gus asked her.

She looked surprised, not used to anyone asking her that. "What do you mean?"

"I guess, where you're from and where do you work?" Gus asked. "I'm curious about what you do and stuff. Like what kind of coven you're in."

"Oh," Vagatha replied as she thought about what she could tell him. "Well, my family's from El Savador. I've wanted to be a dancer since I was little but I didn't make it big. Closest I could get is working around here in Vegas."

"Oh, like you're into ballet or street breakdance?" Gus asked her.

Vagatha didn't know what to say to the boy, especially since he was so young, so she answered awkwardly. "Yeah… kinda like that," she said while looking down at her own drink. "Some say I do have talent, but… there are plenty who say otherwise."

"I don't think you should let them get you down like that, Vagatha," Gus responded. "I'm sure you'll make it big soon."

"You think?" Vagatha replied.

"I mean, something I have learned is to not let the talk of bullies get to you," Gus pointed out. "I know what I am good at and I don't let anyone stop me from pursuing my goals. If you think you're good at something, you shouldn't give it up."

"Thanks for the encouragement, kid," Vagatha responded with a smile. "I wish I was told stuff like that a long time ago, but considering…" She looked down, saddened, but then shook her head. "Anyway, I am still thinking about what you did back in that alleyway."

"Oh, you must mean my magic," Gus said as he created a spell circle, showing her an illusion of a mini-version of himself waving at her.

"Whoa," Vagatha said as she looked more closely. "What kind of hologram is this?"

"Oh, it's not a… hollow's gram," Gus replied. "It's an illusion. I'm an illusion witch."

"So you're like, a magician or something?" Vagatha asked him.

"What's a magician?" Gus asked her in confusion.

Vagatha was silent for a moment while thinking. "You know what? After you're done eating, I can show you one," she offered.

Vagatha brought Gus into an apartment complex.

"This guy I know does a few shows around here," she said as she was about to knock on the door. "He calls himself Fazio, and he's kind of a two-bit."

"Two-bit? Like two bitter or…" Gus asked her before they both heard shouting and arguing coming from inside.

"YOU CHEAPSKATE BASTARD!"

"More like, too much," Vagatha responded as the door flew open and a romper-wearing woman stormed out.

"I'm so done!" she shouted.

"Wait, Crystallyn, wait!" cried out a pink-skinned greasy man with hairline, glasses, a black suit, and a cape. He was shorter than Vagatha but taller than Gus. "I got a few more shows and I need an assistant!"

"Well I hope you pay your next assistant better than you paid me!" she shouted as she stormed to her car.

"Dammit, that's the fifth one that walked out on me!" Fazio shouted angrily, "I have another show coming up, how am I supposed to find another assistant on such short notice?" He then noticed Gus and Vagatha. "Who's the kid, Vaggie?"

"It's Vagatha, Faz," Vagatha groaned as she patted Gus on the head. "And the kid here wanted to meet a magician."

"Well I do perform at birthday parties on the side," Fazio commented before he put on a fake smile and introduced himself to Gus in a grandeur fashion. "I am the Great Fazio, kid! Tell me your name!"

"It's Gus, sir," Gus replied.

"Well then, Gus, let Fazio show you what he can do!" he declared as he pulled out some cards, showing them to Gus. "Pick a card, any card!" Gus pointed to one and he shuffled the deck. "And…" His hands slipped and the cards scattered everything. "Dammit!" he cursed as he grabbed a few from the air. "Is this your card?"

"Um, no and I think that's a business card," Gus pointed out.

"Oh," he replied while throwing the card away. "How's this one, I can make pigeons fly out of my sleeve!" He pulled his sleeve, but no pigeon came out. He checked his other sleeve only for the pigeon that did fly out to start pecking him. "Ah! Ah shit, get away!" He swatted at the bird who continued to peck him.

"This guy's a magician?" Gus asked Vagatha who just shrugged.

"I did say he was a magician," she told him. "I didn't say he was a good one."

"This is the last time I work with birds!" Fazio declared as he turned to Gus. "Sorry, kid. You didn't give me any time to prepare. I'm not good at improv."

"Honestly, if you were to perform real magic, you'd probably be a hit," Gus told him.

"Oh really? And what do you know about 'real' magic, son?" Fazio asked him.

"Plenty," Gus said as he drew a spell circle, creating an illusion of sparkling letters that read 'REAL MAGIC' over Gus, which surprised Fazio and Vagatha.

"Whoa…" Fazio said in amazement. "How… how do you do that, kid?"

"I'm a natural illusionist from where I'm from," Gus said as Fazio looked at the boy in amazement. And then, an idea popped into his head.

"Say kid, would you like to be in the show business?" Fazio offered.

In the woods, Amity was looking around with Ghost on her shoulder. Her abomi-sword was in one hand while a fireball was in the other.

"Careful now, don't want to start a forest fire," Ghost told her.

"I know, I just want to be ready for whatever we're dealing with," Amity whispered to Ghost before she heard a rustle in the bushes. "Alright, I don't know who or what you are, but I'm not afraid to defend myself if I have to!"

Silence followed as she continued to look around. She felt herself step in something and she looked down, spotting another large footprint.

"You think whatever this beast is, it plans to eat us?" Ghost asked her.

"Like I'm gonna let it," Amity replied while looking around, growing tense as she stood guard.

She was Amity Goodfellow, a young teenage witch from another world. Whatever this… beast was, if it thought it could mess with her it had another thing coming. She had already faced all kinds of monsters from the Slitherbeast to giant plants to an evil Obatin to dragons to Belos. Amity tried her best to stay cool, though she couldn't help but wonder what Eda and Luz would do in this situation.

She remembered the advice they had given her for when she was cornered by a creep: kick them in the nads, stab them in the eye or neck, scratch them, etc. Go for their most vulnerable areas for that when they go down they won't immediately get back up again.

The bushes rustled again.

Ghost looked around, using her ears to pick up where the noise was. She tapped on Amity's shoulder and lifted her paw in the direction. Amity turned to the larger bush as it rustled. She walked towards it, closer and closer… she was starting to sweat out of nervousness, especially as the rustling stopped and she raised her abomi-sword…

As a raccoon popped out of the bushes, running past Amity and Ghost.

This caused Amity to let out a deep breath while extinguishing her fireball and lowering her abomi-sword.

THUMP!

Something had jumped in front of her and Amity looked up at the towering, hairy figure over her. He was about as big as Simon. He was covered in fur and had huge feet, large hands, a mustache, and glowing white eyes. Amity quickly raised her abomi-sword with a scream.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, calm down!" the figure spoke to her as he held up a large fish. "Hungry?" he asked, causing Amity and Ghost to look at him in confusion.

Soon, the fish was being cooked over a fire. After it finished cooking and it cooled off, Amity took a bite, humming in delight. It was her first meat since coming to the human realm.

"Mmm, this is so good," Amity commented. "Thank you for the fish, Mr. Foot."

"Hey, it's no problem," Bigfoot replied. "I was wondering what you were doing here out in the woods. At first I thought you were a lost human girl but then I saw your ears and your magic, plus you don't smell like a human."

"Well, me and Ghost aren't from this realm, actually," Amity replied. "I'm a witch from the Demon Realm. I was stranded here by this old guy who had a door which opened a portal to the Human Realm. He threw me through it and now I'm stuck here until I can find a way back."

Bigfoot nodded. "A door that opens a portal to the Human Realm, you say? Believe it or not, but I'm actually familiar with those. Like you, I was stranded here."

"Really?" Amity asked him, her interest piqued by the mention of other portal doors. "Where are you from?"

"Well, you see I'm from a world of monsters," Bigfoot explained. "You know how children are scared of monsters in their bedroom closet? That's because of us. We monsters are into the scaring business, using portals to travel through closets and scare kids in order to use their screams as a power source to keep our cities running."

This made Amity and Ghost give each other questionable looks. "Scaring business? That sounds… unethical…"

"Oh, don't worry about it. We scare kids but we don't harm them, we are not even allowed to touch them," Bigfoot assured her. "There are a bunch of safety protocols and rules."

"So what happens if a kid accidentally enters your world through the portal?" Amity asked him.

"Oh that never happens, but if it ever did we would just send them back and make them think it was a weird dream. Honestly, monsters are more afraid of them than they are with us." He chuckled lightly. "Though maybe things are different now. I haven't been home in… well, for a long time."

"How did you end up here, Mr. Foot?" Amity asked him.

Bigfoot sighed and looked down at the campfire. "I was banished for being seen by the parents. You see, I was a big, hot shot scarer back in the day. I was Biggles Harrison Foot, one of the best scarers for a company called Monsters, Inc. Things were going good until one day…"

He looked sad while playing with his thumbs. "I was assigned to scare this one kid. Just one scare and back, simple. But this kid… he didn't wake up… and I realized that he wasn't even breathing," he admitted, which shocked Amity. "I didn't know what to do at the time, they never trained me for a situation like this… so I let myself be seen by his parents, just so they can come and help him. The kid lived, thankfully, but because of the rules that I had broken, I was banished from my world, sentenced to live the rest of my days here."

"I'm… sorry that happened," Amity told him. "To get banished for doing something good…"

"Eh, I've made my peace with it," Bigfoot told her. "Of course, I didn't take my banishment easy at first. I actually fashioned an enormous diaper out of poison ivy and wore it on my head like a tiara. I called myself King Itchy." He chuckled while Amity looked at him strangely. "But now… I don't want to think what would have happened to that kid if I hadn't woken up his parents. Besides, living here in the Human Realm isn't too bad. I've met other monsters from my world who were banished as well, like Nessie and my buddy the Abominable Snowman, who was banished for mail tampering."

"Do you ever miss your world? Like, it must be hard to not go into public among humans," Amity told him.

"Sometimes I do, but I made my choice and accepted the consequences," he replied. "And I'm… happy. I don't regret it, not a bit." He was silent for a moment, taking a nice hard look at Amity… and a nice whiff. "You know, kid, when I first smelled ya, I realized you weren't human, but I didn't take you for a witch. Because you stink of the Fae."

This caused Amity to blink in surprise. "Say what?"

"But now that I get a better look at you and a better whiff, I can see that you're not full-blooded yet. Just part-Fae," Bigfoot told her.

"I think you are mistaken," Amity told him. "There's no way that I'm part-Fae."

"Well besides the scent, the way your shadow moves on its own is an obvious giveaway," Bigfoot said, pointing at her shadow below her.

"I don't know what you mean-" Amity along with Ghost looked down, seeing that her shadow was not moving like how she was moving. The shadow turned to Amity, realizing that she was onto it. "What… the…" Amity saw her shadow waving at her. "FUCK!?"

Back in Vegas, Fazio was backstage getting ready for his show in a ballroom building. Gus was with him in a red vest and black pants. He peeked out at the small audience at their tables, including Vagatha who waved to him.

"Not a lot of people here," Gus comments while waving back at Vagatha.

"Hey, after this show, this place will be filled with people!" Fazio declared. "Now get ready, kid. The show's about to start!"

As the lights dimmed down, two spotlights swirled over the curtains. "Ladies and gentlemen, get ready for the show of your life!" Fazio's voice announced as a drum roll was heard. The spotlights were turned off, followed by a flash of flames that burst from the stage, which wowed the audience. "We've got spectacle!" Fireworks went off over the heads of the audience. "Wonder!" Birds flew around as the curtains opened, showing Fazio's silhouette. "And most importantly…" Sparks rose up as he rose up as well. "Presentation!" he declared as the spotlight landed on him. "I, the Fabulous and Ferocious Fazio, shall grant you a performance of a lifetime! Along with my young assistant, Gustavio, who will help me perform for tonight!" Gus showed up, waving at the crowd as the audience clapped.

"You heard a rabbit being pulled out of a hat? Let me show you what I can pull out," Fazio said as set his hat down while Gus secretly used his illusions to give Fazio something to 'pull' something out of his hat. The audience were shocked to see him pull out a tiger. "Hey, you're not a rabbit, you're a ferocious tiger!" He acted surprised as he put the tiger back in the hat.

Next Fazio waved his wand around Gus. "Alakazam, Zippidy-Zot, relocate Gustavio to another spot!" Once he waved his wand, Gus disappeared in the blink of an eye. This causes the audience to look shocked. "Where'd he go? Where did I send him?"

"Over here!" Gus announced as the spotlight showed Gus at a table with a couple.

"Now with the snap of my finger, he appears again!" Fazio declared as he snapped his fingers and Gus blinked from the table back on stage.

Do you believe in magic? In a young witch's heart

How the music can free them whenever it starts

And it's magic!

What followed was a series of magic acts that Fazio had Gus perform.

If the music is moving, it makes you feel lovely like an old-time movie!

One act had Gus placed in a box, which Fazio closed and inserted swords into. But when he opened it, Gus wasn't in there. Instead, he was next to Vagatha at her table, waving at him.

I'll tell you about the magic, and it'll free your soul, But it's like trying to tell a stranger about rock and ro-o-oll!

Next was a levitation trick, where Fazio waved his hands at Gus, who flew up in the air which wowed the crowd some more. Backstage, the real Gus was using his illusions for this act, making it seem that Fazio had him flying around the stage.

If you believe in magic, don't bother to choose, if it's just Bard music, nor Potions and Runes,

Just go and listen, it'll start with a smile!

Another act had Fazio bring out a chainsaw to saw Gus in half while he was in a box. Once he succeeded cutting the box in two, it opened. Not only did the audience see that Gus was seemingly cut in half, but his legs even jumped out to do a tap dance. This actually startled Fazio, but the audience had a good laugh, including Vagatha.

It won't wipe off your face no matter how hard you tried,

Your feet start a-tapping, and you can't seem to find

How you got there, so just blow your mind!

Later, Gus brought Vagatha onto the stage for a trick that required a member of the audience. Fazio pulled out his cards and had her pick one. He then shuffled the cards and smashed them together, turning them into doves that flew around her. As Gus created a spell circle, Vagatha found herself in a nice long dress that had eight hearts. Vagatha was amazed as this was the card she picked, and she was wearing it.

If you believe in magic, come along with me

We'll dance until morning, until there's just you and me…

After so many tricks, Gus and Fazio took a bow as the crowd clapped enthusiastically.

"Wow! This beats that Preston guy down at Reno!"

"Yeah, I really need to tell my friends about this!"

After the show, Fazio was backstage counting his earnings, laughing at how great the show was received. And it was all thanks to Gustavio.

"This is my best show yet!" Fazio declared. "Thank you so much for helping me out, Gus! I really appreciate you giving me a helping hand!"

"You're welcome, Fazio," Gus replied. "And thank you for showing me what a magician is. Helps with my human culture research."

"No idea what you mean, but you are something special, kid," Fazio told him. "Say, what if you become my assistant full-time? Heck, I am even willing to adopt you if I have to. We can split the cut 70/30 in exchange for taking you under my wing!"

"Oh, um, that's a good offer, Fazio, but… I need to get to Oregon. I've already got a family and I need to get back to them," Gus replied while Fazio sighed solemnly. "Though I would appreciate it if you were able to help me get to Oregon."

"Ah, I knew it was too good to be true," Fazio replied as he slumped in his chair, disappointed. "I really like ya, kid. You are a natural showman. But you know, I do owe ya a square, so I'll see what I can do." He handed Gus some money. "Here, get you something from the snack machine down the hall."

"Cool, thanks Fazio," Gus responded as he walked out from backstage.

Gus found a snack machine down the hall. He was wondering how it worked when he heard a voice behind him.

"Got you!"

Gus was suddenly covered in some kind of red energy, "Wait, what!?" he exclaimed as he turned around and saw Dr. Frakes, who had captured Gus using her watch.

"I knew I'd find the source of the anomaly, and it's you!" Dr. Frakes declared as she laughed maniacally.

Vagatha walked up to Fazio. "Hey, Faz, where's Gus?" she asked him while looking around.

"Oh I sent him to the snack machine. I don't know what's taking him," Fazio responded.

Vagatha walked down the hall, but saw that Gus wasn't near the snack machine. Concerned, she noticed that one of the exits was left open. Rushing over, she reached the door and looked outside, where she saw Dr. Frakes placing Gus at the back of a black van.

"Hey!" she shouted, earning Frake's attention. "What are you doing to that kid!?"

Elsewhere, Amity was totally freaking out that her shadow was alive.

"AAAH! Why is my shadow alive!?" Amity cried out, backing away as her shadow tried to reassure her. "I… I've heard of shadow magic before, but living shadows is not something that happens to witches! Not even those in the Oracle Coven!"

"Hey, calm down," Bigfoot said.

"How can I calm down!? My shadow's alive!" Amity exclaimed. "I thought it was Puck's shadow helping me, not my own!"

"You know, I did think it was strange that your shadow moved on its own like that," Ghost commented.

"And you didn't say anything!?" Amity asked her cat Palisman.

"I thought you knew!" Ghost stated.

"Please, calm down!"

Only Amity alone heard her shadow talk. She looked down. "You… you can talk?"

"Yes, though no one but you can understand me, as I am your shadow," Amity's shadow replied. "Try not to freak out, I mean, this is hardly the strangest thing you've seen."

"That is… true, but why didn't you talk to me sooner?" Amity asked.

"I have spoken to you a few times before, but I didn't want to risk revealing myself to you before," the shadow responded. "It's just… I was afraid of how you might react. Plus you've already been put through a lot and the last thing you needed was more surprises…"

"Oh, that's… well, it's okay," Amity said, which left Ghost and Bigfoot confused since they couldn't hear Amity's conversation with the shadow. "But… now I'm wondering just how did this happen? How did I become part-Fae and get a talking, sentient shadow…"

"Well, I may have an idea," Bigfoot told her. "Have you had any experiences with the Fae before?"

"A few, actually," Amity replied. "Two of them tried to kill me, but I was friends with one."

"Did you ingest any food or drink that they gave you, or did you make a deal with them?" Bigfoot asked her.

"Actually, I did make a deal with Puck," Amity confirmed as he recalled their deal. "He… he said that he would make sure that I would be able to rescue and protect Luz if I promised to remember what I had learned and to keep moving forward no matter what."

"Bingo." Bigfoot snapped his fingers. "That must've been how you became part-Fae, kid. Making deals with Faes can have unforeseen consequences that even they didn't intend. He said he would make sure you would be able to rescue and protect this Luz person, but he wasn't specific how you would be able. That created a loophole where he may have unintentionally made you part-Fae, because that could be something that would help you protect someone that you care about.."

"So… my deal with Puck resulted in me becoming part-Fae!?" Amity realized as she sat down, looking a lot more distressed. "This… this is a lot to take in." She then looked into the fire, thinking about recent events. "But… now that I think about it, it really does make sense," she said while looking at her own hands. "I can summon and control Abominations without drawing a spell circle, it explains my eye color change, and that time I teleported, also how I was able to understand Barcus, the Slitherbeast, and Ghost. For a while, I thought it was just some new witch power I had awakened or something."

As she closed her own hands and placed them on her knees, Amity turned away. "But… I have no clue what to do about this. Puck could have helped me through this… but he's dead."

"I'm at a loss as well," her shadow also admitted. "As you have very little experience in being a Fae, I have very little experience in being alive. So we're on the same boat."

Amity looked at her shadow curiously. "Well, guess we'll have to figure these things out together. Maybe by starting with a name, like do you have one?"

"Well, not really. It is just shadow," the shadow replied.

"That won't do," Amity said, shaking her head. ",If you're sentient and have a mind of your own, then you deserve a name. I'm definitely not going to call you 'Shadow Amity', it makes it sound like you're an evil counterpart of me from a crystal ball game." As she thought about it, an idea came to her mind. "Maybe… how does 'Sam' sound?"

"Sam?" the shadow asked. "You mean basically the first letter in 'shadow' and the first two letters of your name?" The shadow thought about it and nodded. "I like it. Sam it is then."

"Then it is nice to meet you, Sam," Amity said, actually feeling more relieved. Because now she knew that she had a friend by her side, someone who had been with her the whole time, secretly watching over her. She then turned to Bigfoot. "Now then… do you know where the nearest town would be, Mr. Foot?"

"Of course," Bigfoot said as he put out the fire. "There is actually a creek not too far away. If you follow it, it should lead you to a town. Unfortunately, I can't go with you. I can't be seen. But I can show you where the creek is."

Amity nodded. "Thank you, Mr. Foot," she told him. "For everything."

Back in Vegas, Frakes had driven off once Vagatha had spotted them. Gus was trapped in some kind of orb while they made their getaway, Terri looking at him in confusion and concern.

"Dr. Frakes, why did you kidnap this kid!?" Terri asked.

"That kid is the source of the anomaly I've detected!" Frakes answered excitedly while driving, "I mean, look at him! He's got pointy ears and I've seen what he's able to do! Creating illusions out of thin air, this is something Gates has been looking for!" she declared. "Maybe once I learn what makes him tick…"

"What is Gates going to do to him?" Terri asked worriedly.

"Don't know, don't care!" Frakes answered. "Maybe she'll have him dissected, but what matters is that I will be well rewarded for bringing him to her!"

Terri looked even more conflicted. "This doesn't feel right," she said before noticing something. "Look out!"

"What?" Frakes asked but it was too late. A truck smashed into their van, causing Frakes to stop driving as the van was forced to turn around. The truck that hit them had a trailer with 'FAZIO' written in big letters on the side. Fazio was driving and with him was Vagatha.

"Hey!" Fazio cried out as he stepped out of the truck. "Let go of my assistant, you no-good kidnappers!"

"Give us Gus back, now!" Vagatha demanded as she stepped out.

Frakes opened the door and looked at the two. "Ugh, I have no time for this!" she said. "Helper-Extra-Arms-Pack, activate!" Sprouting from her back was a red metal backpack that wrapped around her. Then, six metal tentacles with three-finger claws shot up as two lifted her up while the other four waved around her. "You are no match for me and my H.E.A.P.!"

"What the fuck!?" Vagatha questioned in shock.

"Don't worry, Vags, I got this!" Fazio declared as he rushed in first, only for Frakes to pick him up and throw him across the road. "WAAH!"

"Faz!" Vagatha cried out before she saw the tentacle arm coming at her which prompted her to move away.

"You won't get in my way!" Frakes declared as she attacked Vagatha, who dodged each of her moves.

The young woman took a step away from one tentacle being launched at her. Though she couldn't keep dodging forever, she managed to use her dance moves to avoid getting struck. She back flipped as one tentacle formed a fist to slam into the concrete, which caused Vagatha to curse. "Hey! You trying to kill me, you crazy bitch!?" she shouted as she grabbed a piece of concrete to throw at Frakes.

But Frakes used her tentacle arm to grab it, crushing it to dust. "You're going to have to do better than that!" Frakes declared with a smirk. "And I'd watch my back if I were you."

"What are you-" Vagatha was then grabbed by a tentacle arm that was wrapped around her from behind. "KAAH!" she shouted as she was slammed into Fazio's trailer. "Let me go, you bitch!" She kicked and punched the tendril as two of the HEAP's arms bound Vagatha's arms and legs.

"Maybe I should finish you off here and now!" Frakes declared as she laughed maniacally, while one free arm sprouted out a sharp knife, ready to target Vagatha. "Consider this the consequences of getting in the way of sci-EEENCE!" Frakes cried out as she felt an electric shock as her HEAP started to glitch out. It caused her to let go of Vagatha, who saw that Terri was using an EMP device to target the HEAP.

Frakes tried to move her extra arms, but her HEAP wasn't working. "What… why aren't my arms working!?" Frakes asked, but was then punched in the face by an angry Vagatha, who grabbed Frakes and pinned her to the truck. "H-Hey wait! You can't do this to me! I am a respected scientist!"

"Well respect the fist, you $%^!" Vagatha shouted as she beat Frakes up, Terri wincing from each beating the doctor deservedly received.

After Frakes collapsed to the ground, knocked out, Vagatha turned to Terri. "You!" Vagatha pointed as she marched up the scientist. Terri backed away but Vagatha pulled her over and pinned her to the van. "Where's Gus!? What kind of traffickers are you two!?" she demanded in anger.

"Wait, wait! We're not traffickers!" Terri protested. "We're scientists! Me and Dr. Frakes were just tracking an anomaly that came into the city, but kidnapping a kid wasn't something I signed up for! Let me go, and I can free him for you!"

"And why should I trust you?" Vagatha questioned.

"I didn't mean for this to happen," Terri insisted. "Which is why I used an EMP device to glitch out Frake's HEAP. And I can free the kid."

Vagatha narrowed her eyes at Terri, but ultimately let her go. "I'm watching you," she said with her arms crossed. Terri went to the back of the van, where Gus was still in the containment field. Terri quickly turned it off, freeing Gus. "Gus, are you okay?" Vagatha asked as she went up to pull Gus out.

"Yeah, thanks for saving me, Vaggie!" Gus replied as he hugged her, much to her surprise.

"Sure, kid," Vaggie responded as she hugged him back, not correcting his use of the nickname.

"Really, I'm very, very sorry for all of this," Terri told them. "I'm in this gig because I wanted to use science to help people, not hurt them. Dr. Frakes may be a genius, but it doesn't excuse her kidnapping people or not caring what happens to them." She then turned to Gus. "She detected that you were an anomaly and I'm wondering… are you an alien or…?"

"I'm a witch," Gus replied. "I'm from the Demon Realm." He demonstrated by drawing a spell circle and creating a ball of light.

"Wow," Terri said in amazement. "You really are from another world!"

"Hey, don't get any ideas," Vaggie warned Terri, who backed away.

"Don't worry, I'm not gonna take him away like Frakes did," Terri assured her. "I'll get out of your hair. I'm pretty sure that I'm out of a job after this, but because of tonight I think I will be fine with that. Uh, what are you going to do with Frakes?"

Vaggie looked down at the unconscious Frakes and shrugged. "The cops would probably ask too many questions, so I think I'll find a place to put her until I can figure out what to do with her."

Terri nodded. "Alright, just… don't kill her or anything, okay?"

"Thanks for freeing me!" Gus told Terri as she got into the driver's seat of the van.

"Don't mention it. And hey, it was nice meeting a magical goober from another world," Terri replied as she got ready to drive away. "By the way, I think you should help that man out."

Gus and Vaggie turned to Fazio, who picked himself up. "Oh, don't worry, I'm fine! Just um, gotta adjust my back," he said while rubbing his own side. "Hey Vaggie, why don't you drive."

Back at the apartment complex where Fazio and Vaggie lived, the two were shocked as Gus confirmed to them that he was from another world.

"Wait, wait, wait… you're really from another world?!" Vaggie exclaimed.

"Witches, demons… do vampires exist?" Fazio asked him and Gus nodded, causing Fazio to lean back in his chair.

"This is a lot to take in," Vaggie admitted as she processed this.

"No kidding, I thought these kinds of things only existed in comic books and movies," Fazio replied. "But this means magic is real…"

"Though it might also mean that there could be more people like that mad scientist lady who are after Gus," Vaggie pointed out while looking at Gus in concern. "You said you need to head up to Oregon, right? You could take a bus, but I don't think you should go alone. Especially after you were almost kidnapped."

"I can take him," Fazio volunteered. "My truck's still good enough to go up those miles."

"You sure, Faz?" Vaggie asked him.

Fazio nodded. "I'm sure. Plus maybe this would lead to me seeing more real magic and that is a chance I gotta take."

"Well, I do appreciate the help, Fazio," Gus told him.

"Hey, I do owe you one," Fazio reminded him. "Plus it ain't everyday when you come across some real magic in this world. I feel like that has to be a sign of some kind."

"Come on, we should prepare you a bed," Vaggie suggested. "If you are leaving tomorrow, you should get some rest first."

"Good idea, a good sleep should relieve the pain of being thrown across the road," Fazio replied while heading to his apartment. "Good night, Vags, Gustavio."

"Night!" Gus responded as he followed Vaggie to her apartment.

It was a simple apartment, with a kitchen, living room, and doors that led to a bedroom and bathroom.

"The bathroom is the first door next to my room," Vaggie said as she went up to the couch, pulling it out and setting up bed.

"Whoa, your couch is also a bed?" Gus asked.

"Yeah, sometimes I use it whenever I have some guests over. Like some friends from work," Vaggie responded. "You can sit at the table while I get it set up. You can even watch TV."

While Gus sat at the table to watch TV, Vaggie managed to set up the bed for him with covers and pillows. Vaggie asked him if he wanted something to eat, though all she had was instant ramen. Gus didn't mind, since he was willing to eat anything he could find. So the two ended up eating together.

"Man, I have had such an interesting experience here in Last Vegans," Gus commented. "All sorts of interesting people. A magician, scientists, the peacock hybrids…"

"Peacock hybrids?" Vaggie questioned.

"You know, the ones you see around the city. Along with the rabbit people," Gus said, which made Vaggie realize what he meant.

"Ooooh, right." Vaggie looked at him and realized that he was not bothered by the stuff he had seen. "You probably have seen something similar back in… the Demon Realm, right?"

"Yeah, though the human world is still amazing compared to it. Like the moving fountains and the Elvis-Grimwalkers. I can't wait to tell everyone in the Human Appreciation Society about this! And besides, this is not my first kidnapping, I actually went through a school war recently."

Vaggie decided she was not going to ask what a 'school war' was, but she did find it curious that Gus was so interested in the human world. "You are really into humans, aren't you?" she asked with a smile.

"Well, it's something I've taken an interest in," Gus responded while looking down. "Back where I'm from, most witches know very little about humans and their culture, though my best friend, Luz, is a human who lives among us."

This surprised Vaggie. "Really?"

"Yeah, she was raised by Eda, who is a really infamous witch where I'm from. But they're really nice people. They helped me get a lot of human artifacts for me to study. They even took me to Gravity Falls where I met the friends they had there, these really nice and fun humans. Which is why I want to get there, they could help me back home."

"I can definitely see why you want to get back to them then," Vaggie responded while looking down with a sigh.

"Are you alright, Vaggie?" Gus asked her.

"Oh, don't worry, I'm fine," Vaggie replied, hiding her depression with a smile.

"What about you? Do you have any family around?" he asked her. "O-Or is that too much of a touchy subject?"

She looked down at own noodle cup. "Well… my dad wasn't…" she said while rubbing her arm. "He was a piece of shit. When my mom died, he started to drink and treat me like crap, and…" She paused, closing her eyes for a moment as her hand shivered. "When I was sixteen, I ran away. I was homeless and it wouldn't be years until I got a stable job. This… dancing gig." She felt embarrassed and wondered how Gus would react if he figured out what she really meant. After all, he did look like he was going through puberty.

"I'm sorry you had a crappy dad," Gus told her sincerely. "I can relate to having a crappy parent."

Vaggie looked to Gus. "That's right, you mentioned before that your mom abandoned you," she noted.

"She did," Gus responded. "Because as it turns out, she had been using love potions on my dad for years, since before I was born. This is really illegal in the Boiling Isles, and she ran away before she could get caught." Vaggie's eyes widened as she realized the implications. "Since then, I've been keeping myself distracted with my interest in the human world. I don't know where my mom went… and I don't care, honestly. Especially since she didn't care about me at all. And I know that I'm not like my mom, since I do care about other people and I don't need a potion to make them care about me. Though I don't care about them in a romantic sense, since I recently learned that I am probably aromantic…" He looked up to her. "That… that's not a problem, is it? I mean, I've heard about how complicated you humans can be, no offense-"

"Nah, it's no problem, kid," Vaggie told him. "As long as you don't mind me liking women."

"Not at all, where I'm from we don't discriminate based on sexuality. I mean, two of my best friends, Luz and Willow, have girlfriends. We don't judge others by their preferences or the skin or how many eyes we have," Gus explained, which surprised Vaggie.

"Huh, sounds like paradise for folks like me," Vaggie responded before she sighed. "I wish I can go with you, Gus, but my job won't let me leave."

"That's okay, cause once Luz finds a way to travel to and from the human realm, I could come by and visit you any time," Gus told her.

"You'd visit me?" Vaggie asked him. "But you've only known me for like a day, kid."

"Yeah, and in that day you literally fought a mad scientist to save me," Gus pointed out. "You are a good person, Vaggie. After everything you've done for me, I'm not going to forget that and I would like to see you again."

This brought a smile to Vaggie's face, the kind of smile that has been absent for many years.

"Thanks, Gus," she replied in a heartfelt voice. "I think I would really like that too."

Amity, along with Ghost, followed the creek until it eventually led them into a neighborhood. By then it was dark and they decided to look for a place to spend the night.

Soon after eating, Gus was settled on the couch bed. Vaggie watched him as he fell asleep. She was gonna miss him when he left tomorrow.

She closed behind her as she went into her bedroom. She walked onto her balcony, stepping outside for a bit. She sighed, leaning against the balcony while looking up at the night sky. She hoped that Gus would be okay when he got to Gravity Falls, though she did trust Fazio enough to at least take him there.

But as she looked up at the sky, she wondered if there was another way she could try to help Gus. She wasn't a religious woman, but she could at least try.

"I don't know if you can hear me," she sang, while looking down "I don't even know if you're there…"

"I don't know if you would listen to a sinner's prayer." She raised her head up. "Yes, I know I'm just an outcast, I shouldn't speak to you. Still, I see your face and wonder, were you once an outcast… too?"

Vaggie walked back into her bedroom and looked into the mirror. "God help the outcasts, hungry from birth, show them the mercy… they don't find on Earth." Memories of her childhood resurfaced, dark memories of her years with her father along with living homeless. "God help this poor boy, he may not know you." She thought of Gus sleeping in the living room. "But like the outcasts, he needs help too."

As Amity walked around the town, she spotted a church with its lights still on. The doors were open and she decided to go inside while making sure that her ears were covered by her hair.

Throughout Vegas, people were singing about what they wanted.

"I ask for wealth."

"I ask for fame."

"I ask for glory to shine on my name."

"I ask for love," one woman sang. "I can't possess!"

"I ask for God and his angels to bless mee!"

"I asked for nothing, I can get by!" Vaggie sang out loud as she noticed a moth fly into her room. She outstretched her hand and let the moth land on it. "But I know so many, less lucky than I!"

Tears streamed from her eyes. "Please help your people, the poor and downtod! I thought we all were the children of God…" She sighed and went back outside. "God help the outcasts… children of… God..."

Vaggie let the moth fly off her hand. She watched it disappear into the night before she went back inside to get some sleep, wondering if her prayer had even done anything.

Amity looked around the church, Ghost staying in her coat pocket.

"Excuse me, miss," said a voice.

She turned around to see a middle-aged man with silver hair and beard. He was wearing a black church robe.

"Do you need help?" he asked him.

"Oh, um." Amity wasn't sure what to say to this man. "I don't know…"

"My name is Pastor McCay," he said kindly. "Do you have somewhere to stay? I don't believe I've seen you around before."

"I'm… not from here," she admitted, not wanting to say too much. "I'm… far from my home. I know where I am supposed to go, but I'm not sure how to get there. And I do need a place to stay for the night."

"Well, you've come to the right place," McCay told her. "We're happy to help you, Ms…"

"Amity," she responded.

"Well then, Amity, you're welcome to stay here if you want," he told her. "We can get you set up and We've also got a soup kitchen that opens in the morning."

Amity smiled. "Thank you, Mr. McCay."

"You're welcome," he responded. "Come on, I'll have Ms. Lansbury to help you find a cot to sleep in."

Amity nodded and followed McCay, though a question came to her mind. "So… why are you willing to help me?" she asked him. "I mean, I'm just a complete stranger to you guys."

"And I'm a stranger as well to you," McCay pointed out. "And yet, you're willing to accept my help."

Amity looked down. "I guess… I guess I just want to believe that you want to help me."

McCay nodded. "And that's why I want to help you: belief. You may be a stranger, but I also believe you're a daughter of God and it is my responsibility, my privilege to take care of all of God's children."

Amity looked at him awkwardly. "I… don't know much about your God," she admitted.

"And that's fine," McCay assured her. "Because God certainly knows you, which means that you have a place here."

"Here we are," spoke Ms. Lansbury when she showed Amity the room she would be staying in. "You can sleep here. There is also a shower stall."

Amity looked around the room she would be staying in, which included a cot and a doorway to the bathroom. "Thank you, for letting me sleep here."

"We do what we must to help others, Ms. Amity," Ms. Lansbury told her.

"Make yourself comfortable," McCay advised before he and Ms. Lansbury left her alone. "And also… welcome to Echo Creek."

In the morning, Fazio had gotten his truck ready.

"Alright, she's ready to hit the road!" Fazio declared.

Gus turned to Vaggie. "Well, guess this is goodbye, Vaggie," he told her.

"At least until you come back and visit," Vaggie noted while Gus paused for a moment.

"Maybe I should get a picture to remember you by," Gus suggested as he pulled out his camera. Vaggie got close to him, her arm hanging on his shoulders. "Alright, say 'pistachio!'"

"Pistachio," Vaggie replied with a smirk as Gus snapped a picture of the two together.

"Come on, Gustavio, I know a place that serves a great brunch special if we get there in time!" Fazio called out.

Gus turned to Vaggie and they both hugged each other again. "I will see you again," he told her.

Vaggie nodded. "Good luck finding your way home, kid." she told him while turning to Fazio. "Keep him safe for me, Faz!"

"No problem, Vaggie," Fazio saluted while Gus ran up to the truck.

Vaggie watched them leave, Gus sticking his head out the window to wave at her. She waved at them until they were out of sight and then she returned to her apartment.

A bit later, she heard someone knocking on the door. She wondered who it was at this time, but rushed to the door as whoever it was kept banging on it.

"Alright, I'm coming!" Vaggie responded as she looked through the hole of the door. It was a strange young man in a black suit. Confused, she unlocked her door and opened it.

"Hello, ma'am," spoke the tanned young man who looked to be around her age. He has combed over black hair with a bang, gray eyes, and a black suit that has the letter 'A' with a halo and wings. "I want to ask you a few questions."

Vaggie was getting a bad vibe from this man. "And you are…?"

He held up a badge. "Call me Michael, and I just want to ask you a few questions."

Before she could stop him, he stepped inside.

The door closed behind him. Soon screaming and shouting could be heard coming from the apartment, along with the sounds of a struggle… followed by silence.

After a moment, Michael came out of the apartment, wiping his face. "A shame she didn't comply," he said with a grin on his face. "All because that chica wouldn't give me information about the boy she was with. Then again, maybe it isn't a huge waste…"

He then left. Inside Vaggie's apartment, her body could be found with a knife in her hand, blood coming out of her left eye as she laid there motionless…

We were having a good time until it ends like this!

Gus's time in Las Vegas has been an idea we've had for a while. As we have Gus experience what it's like in the iconic city of vice, and along the way he meets two new human friends who helps him along the way.

For those who have never seen the Hazbin Hotel pilot, Vagatha aka Vaggie is one of the main cast of the now full on upcoming series. We had hinted that Hazbin Hotel is canon to LC's universe before with Lucifer Morningstar appearing once in Book 1 after being summoned by Dipper. Using Vaggie here we thought would be perfect as a human Gus meets before she eventually dies. Though her cause of death hasn't been stated in the show, but it's implied that she was either murdered or committed suicide. Also the fact that she died in 2014, but in this case she died about two years earlier. Here we've decided to give her a role as someone Gus's first friend since coming to Vegas, as they become fast friends. As for her living design is based off of one of her earlier designs.

Fazio is an OC for the chapter, as an out-of-luck stage magician who's based off of the great Fazio from Leprechaun 3, as well as inspiration from Danny DeVito, John Lovitz, and Jason Alexander. Also his appearance is a mixture of Danny DeVito and Eddy from Ed, Edd n Eddy.

And of course, we've been wanting to talk about the purpose of the third part of the chapter. Back in earlier chapters, we'd like to admit that we portrayed Christianity(along with religion) in a negative light. This chapter shows it more in a positive light. How it shows Christians who use their religion in order to help others and take care of the less fortunate, since they are still children of God even if the people they are helping aren't believers. Because Christians who use their religion as justification for their bigotry and cruelty aren't really following the teachings of Jesus. Basically, it's okay to be Christian, but it's not okay to be an asshole.

"God Help the Outcast" from Hunchback of Notre Dame is a great fit for the chapter as Vaggie's song. Along with Amity traveling to a church up at Echo Creek.

"Do You Believe in Magic" by The Lovin' Spoonful is used for the montage of magic tricks Gus and Fazio performs.

Also, Reverend McCay is basically a reference to Norman McCay, a character from DC Comics mostly known to be from the New Teen Titans comics. And his compatriot, Ms. Lansbury, is a reference and homage to Disney allumi and Murder, She Wrote actress Angela Lansbury, who had passed away a month ago. This is to give a long-overdue tribute to such one of the most well beloved actress in the Golden Age of Hollywood.

To describe Bigfoot, who we've made as a monster from the Monsters Inc world. Inspired by Willie Nelson. We've thought of Amity having to meet Bigfoot for a long while just for fun, and for him to help her out, and how Amity learns that she's a Fae and have a moving shadow, which she gives her shadow the name "Sam."

Now for the reviews

Crosshot: Don't worry, we've considered some OCs to have for the fic for world building reasons. Luke was a name we've thought up for Gus G.'s dad, cause you know, "Luke Gordon" roles the tongue. We'll see how things can go from there with the shipping.

ReviewerRDJ: Thanks, all credit for Gus and Nora Gordon goes to Crosshot.

61394: Yeah, Witch Rick is an edgelord but out of the Ricks, he's one of the more decent ones.

Matteso585: 1) Free time, and that depends on my work days which are 3-4 a week. 2) We haven't even gone to "Northwest Mystery Manor" yet. 3) Stay tuned. 4) Spoilers.

JTK: Maybe.

Ultimate-drax: Eh, Gus has seen more in the Boiling Isles and school war. Las Vegas would be an adventure for him. And yeah, since Camila is revealed to be a closet nerd it would make sense that she would be, like to think she first read them when migrating to America with her family.

Shuffollower: Yeah, we figured we'd give a happy ending for the readers. Though can't say the same for this chapter. And it's okay if you can't think of any OCs right now. The contest still continues and you can take your time with them.

The OC Contest still continues, we got a lot of submissions and considering some of them. Keep up submitting and your OCs will be shown in the upcoming chapters. It still comes up for as long as it takes.
