Chapter 13

What to Do Now

Evelyn and Ymir sat at a table with the Warriors and Magath after a night of sleeping. Evelyn and Ymir sat in Evelyn's old room, catching up. Ymir wasn't surprised that Historia was now Queen of Paradis and was starting to feel homesick for missing her friends.

Reiner sat next to Evelyn. They both were holding hands under the table, not wanting to let each other go. Magath sat at the head of the table. Reiner ran a thumb over Evelyn's hand.

"The General will be shipped back to his country to stand trial. He was doing it under their noses." Magath said.

"So they claim." Galliard grumbled. Evelyn couldn't help but wonder the same thing. Reiner gritted his teeth and squeezed Evelyn's hand.

"They are leaving it to us to decide what to do with Ymir. We really don't need two to use against Paradis." Magath said with a sigh. Evelyn felt her heart drop and Reiner didn't look to happy. "We'll have to send one of them back."

"But we arlready lost one of the Survey Ships we sent to Paradis. You want to risk loosing more soldiers?" Pieck asked. Evelyn perked up at the sound of that. They lost a ship sent to Paradis?

'Did they kill all the Titans and now saw the ocean? They did it.' Evelyn thought. She felt her heart leap in her chest. Ymir and her share looks.

"Send me back." Ymir said.

"Ymir." Evelyn said.

"Please. I can see your happy with Reiner and I want to see Historia. I'll willingly go back and let your brother know your alive." Ymir said. Reiner sighed a bit in relief and Evelyn squeezed his hand gently. She looked at Ymir and mouthed thank you. She missed Paradis, but Liberio was starting to become her home and she didn't want to break Reiner's heart going back.

"Then its settled. We'll send Ymir with a survey shift, but only few soldiers incase the same thing happens to them." Magath said.

At the dock. Ymir and Evelyn embraced.

"I'm glad your going back." Evelyn said.

"I'll talk to Historia and see if there's something she can do to get you back along with Reiner." Ymir whispered. Evelyn had told Ymir that she was trying to figure out how to get Reiner to come back with her if the chance came up to go to Paradis. Evelyn smiled. She slipped a envelope into Ymir's hand.

"Can you give this to my brother." Evelyn asked. Ymir took it and nodded. Reiner came up to her as Ymir got on the ship.

"I'm surprised you didn't argue with Ymir going back." Reiner said.

"I told you before, Reiner. I'm not going back unless your coming with me." Evelyn said, turning to Reiner. Reiner wrapped his arms around her and pulled her against him. "This place is starting to feel like home now being with you." Reiner pressed a kiss to her forehead.

"Well. We're going away for a week. I was able to get the okay for Magath to go to the Beach House the Military owns for a week as a reward for what we did." Reiner said.

"Really?" Evelyn asked.

"Yes. But there is one condition. We have to take Porco and Pieck with us." Reiner said. Evelyn pressed her face into his chest and groaned.

"Guess we have no choice on that." Evelyn grumbled. Reiner chuckled.

"We leave in a week. I got to many paperwork to finish, plus help with repairs, but it will be worth the wait." Reiner promised. Evelyn stood up on her tip toes.

"I believe you on that." Evelyn said. Reiner captured her lips with his and they stood on the docks kissing.

Paradis Island. Ymir sat in one of the tents. She got a glimpse of Armin in his Colossal form and was greeted by Captain Levi and his soldiers. Luckily some of the soldiers reconized her. Now she sat in front of Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Levi, and now Commander Hange.

"They let you go?" Mikasa asked. Ymir nodded.

"They let you go but not my sister!" Eren growled.

"She seems happy there. It's not like she's being held in a prison." Ymir said with her arms crossed. She saw a change in Eren. Something that Evelyn would not like to see. There was deadness in his eyes and he seemed more agry.

"They have her free?" Hange said.

"Reiner is in charge of her and is helping at one of the hospitals. They were dealing with an issue with a country and she helped them out when they found me." Ymir said. Eren was fuming.

"She's staying with the traitor. Unbelievable." Eren said.

"Eren. Calm down. We at least know that Evelyn is alive." Armin said. Ymir decided not to mention that Reiner and Evelyn were dating, not wanting to anger Eren any further.

"Armin is right, Eren. We'll find a way to get her back home." Hange said. Eren seemed to relax a little.

"I like to see Queen Historia." Ymir said.

"We will take you to her when we go back." Levi said. Ymir pulled out a enevelope.

"Eren. Evelyn wanted me to give this to you." Ymir said. Eren quickly grabbed it. He ripped it open.

Dear Eren,

Don't worry about me. I'm alright. I'm happy to hear that you, Mikasa, and Armin got to see the ocean. Reiner is taking care of me and I made some friends. Its all I can really do now with no way off. I miss you and the others. Give Mikasa and Armin hugs.

Eren handed in to the others.

"She didn't give much." Eren said.

"She probably couldn't without giving stuff away." Hange said. Ymir nodded. Levi let out a Tch. Eren stormed out of the tent. No one followed after him, knowing he needed time to process the information. Mikasa and Armin shared worried looks.

He stood on the beach, looking out to the horizon. He was relieved his sister was alive and unhurt, but she was not here on Paradis.

'I'll find a way to get you home, Eve. Even if I have to kill the Traitor to get you home.' Eren swore under his breath.
