"Okay Taiga, I respect your stance on the matter. Do what you feel like you can do to repay me for it, but I honestly think it's no big deal." Said John before looking at his watch and said, "Anyway, it's almost time to pick up Marsau from School, see you later guys." Taiga, Hinano, Tomohito, Yukiko, Rio, Sosuke, and Sone nodded their heads as they all got to their cars to drive home as John drove to get Marsau from School, John couldn't help but to smile as he thought about how Grateful the Younger Hunter Classroom and the Former E-Class Members were to see Korosensei as a Human alive.
_X_ MARSAU'S SCHOOL, END OF SCHOOL DAY _X_
As John waited for Marsau to get out, he pictured what would have happened if he never Met Toka. but his thoughts were cut short as the school bell rang for Marsau's School and he watched all the kids come out. He eventually saw his son and got out to greet him. Marsau saw his daddy and ran to him and into John's arms as he picked him up. John then asked Marsau, "How was school today son?" Marsau gave his dad a thumbs up as he said, "It was Egg-cellent." John chuckled as he found his son's humor cute as he inherited it from his father. John then had Marsau get in the SUV so they could go home to the Mansion. Along the way, John told Marsau, "Well Marsau, I have good news for you. Some of your Adopted Aunts and Uncles have decided to move in with us at the mansion, I heard that Uncle Isogai and Aunt Kataoka are thinking about it as well." Marsau smiled and said, "Yipee!"
"Yup, which means you get to see Hadet everyday son. From what I'm being told you have a soft spot for Hadet, am I right son?" John said with an Eyebrow raised. Marsau darted his eyes away from looking at his father as he said, "Maybe…" John chuckled before he said, "It's alright son. It's only Natural to have feelings of love for a girl. Take it from your mother and I, we fell for each other and have been together ever since." Marsau nodded his head and patiently as he and John drove back to the mansion.
_X_ BERTRAND MANOR EXTERIOR _X_
When John and Marsau arrived back at the Manor, they saw a few moving trucks with people taking stuff into the mansion. That was they saw Karma, Manami and Masuda standing there, since Masuda was home sick that day. Getting out of the SUV, John carried Marsau over to the Akabanes as he said, "I see you guys are moving your stuff in already." Karma nodded his head before getting a punch to the gut from John as he said, "I still have yet to forgive you for what you did when you pushed me, Toka, Hiroto, Hinata, Yuma, and Megu through the Portal into the Magical world." Karma stood up, worked through the pain as he said, "Yeah, I figured as much."
"Still can't believe that you got to learn Magic and be able to use them in this world." Said Manami. John nodded his head and said, "Yeah, Megu, Yuma, Hinata, Hiroto, Toka, and I all tested to see if we could use all the spells from the book and sure enough we can. There's Water Magic, Fire Magic, Earth Magic, Wind Magic, Light Magic, Dark Magic, and Null Magic." Karma crossed his arms and said, "Still wish I could have gone." That was when John said, "You could have if you didn't push the six of us in and caused the Portal to close." Then Karma said, "What can I say, I didn't want you to deal with the Troops of Shiro that were attacking our HQ."
"We could have dealt with them and then gone to the other world, I would have been more than okay to stay and help defend headquarters. But I must thank you Karma." Said John. Karma crossed his arms before he said, "Let me guess, you're thanking me because if I didn't shove you six through the Portal, you all wouldn't have been able to use Magic." John nodded his head and said, "Yup, anyway. Let's get inside, Toka's waiting." Karma and Manami nodded their heads and followed John and Marsau inside as Jones said, "Welcome back Mr. Bertrand." John nodded his head and said, "Hello Jones, are the rooms for the Akabanes ready?" Jones nodded his head as Toka walked up to John and kissed him on the lips and asked, "How was the younger Hunter Classroom?"
John told her, "They were ecstatic to see Sone there, and we even showed them the Mount Fuji base in that world too. Not only that, but apparently Shiro's Portal works now thanks to Itona and Ritsu so he was there to greet us and we introduced him to the Younger Hunter Classroom." Toka smiled as she remembered when she saw Korosensei back for the first time too after four years.
_X_ HUNTER CLASSROOM HEADQUARTERS, AFTER RESCUING KAYANO'S SISTER _X_
After everyone left the Hospital after seeing their old Teacher back from the dead, they went to their headquarters and saw that Korosensei, Sone Noburo before he became human again was already there. Without a second thought, the members of E-Class, minus Megu, Tomohito, and Hinata all tackled Korosensei and cried Tears of Joy… and then they proceeded to beat the crap out of him. John and the others smiled and chuckled as they watched their teammates and classmates punch and kick Korosensei before Toka looked at the four and said, "Don't think we've forgotten you four." John and the others sweatdropped as they got stared down by everyone else and John said, "We told you guys that he asked us to keep it secret until after we rescued Miss Yukimura from the troops of Shiro. Toka sweetie, you know if I'm asked to keep a secret, I keep it secret. For example, the tale of Korosensei."
"Ugh, I hate it when you use Logic against me. But I also love it when you use it against other people. You are impossible to hate John." Said Toka as she walked over to John and pulled him into a passionate kiss, which he happily returned. After which, John looked at Korosensei and said, "Now if I recall sir, you said that once the mission was complete that you would join the Hunter Classroom, is that correct?" Korosensei looked at John and said, "I haven't forgotten the agreement." Korosensei then handed John his Resume as he said, "I trust that I will meet all the requirements for joining the Hunter Classroom." But all that did was make John laugh, and confused everyone else.
John then said, "If you are as good as Toka's told me about you, then a resume isn't needed for you. The rest of the group respects you sir. They trust you, and that's good enough for me." Everyone smiled after John said that and Korosensei said, "I must say John, for only knowing me for a day, I'm surprised that you have this much faith in me." John smiled and said, "Toka's told me all about the time that she was a part of E-Class Korosensei. Believe it or not, from what Toka's told me, you are a very Respectable man, with a Prono Addiction. But you've always put your Students before yourself. You didn't even need to take on the teaching of their class but you did as a promise to Kayano's sister. For that reason and some more, you have earned my respect and trust."
_X_ BERTRAND MANOR, PRESENT DAY _X_
"It still surprises me that you were able to trust Korosensei so Easily." Toka said to her husband. John wrapped his arms and Tentacles around Toka as he said, "Like I said back then my darling wife, The rest of the group respects him. They trust him, and that's good enough for me." Toka smiled and the two shared a passionate kiss before going into their game room. In the game room, John and Karma got their kids playing a few rounds of Mario kart where John was helping Marsau and Karma was helping Masuda, and the Bertrands were kicking the Akabanes butts as Toka and Manami watched in enjoyment. John then said, "Okay you two, last lap and match then it's homework time." Masuda looked at her father to help keep her playing one more lap, but Karma told her, "Sorry Masuda, but this is Uncle Johns and Aunt Toka's house, meaning it's their rules."
Then John said, "How about this? The quicker you two get your homework done, the quicker you can go back to playing the Video games. Just make sure it's done correctly and in your handwriting. I'll be checking myself because I can recognize Marsau's handwriting." Masuda sighed as she and Marsau walked away to get their Homework they left the game room, Jones walked in and said, "Master Bertrand, there is a Sir Yuma Isogai and Mrs. Megu Kataoka-isogai in the Den wishing an Audience with you sir." John nodded his head, got up, and followed Jones with Toka following him to the Den.
At the Den, Jones said, "Sir John Bertrand and Mrs. Toka Yada Bertrand." Yuma and Megu stood up and greeted the two with happy greetings. When John asked them what they wanted, Yuma said, "Megu and I have talked about it… and we decided to move into the mansion as well." John smiled as he looked at Megu, who was nodding her head. John then said, "Excellent, I'll have Jones prepare rooms for you and the kids. How are they anyway? I feel like I haven't seen them in forever." Megu answered his question by saying. "They're doing fine. Hadet told me that she likes Marsau and hopes that she and him will be like me and Yuma. Oba is also the cutest few month old Baby that I've held." John smiled before looking at Jones when he returned and said, "Jones, the Isogais will be moving into the manor, I want them treated like the Akabanes, is that understood?" Jones nodded his head and said, "Of course sir. I shall inform the Staff of the new additions to the Household."
John nodded his head before looking at Yuma and Megu as Jones left. John then told his friends, "Jones has been a great help around here, keeping the Staff in line and making sure what we tell him is enforced." Yuma smiled before he said, "Well, thanks for telling him that. Makes me feel like we're brothers already." John laughed before he said, "Yuma, we treat each other like family. I even told you guys that you're like my family here in Japan, and I am happy I met you all." Yuma and Megu smiled as Toka pulled John in for a long passionate kiss. Megu then said, "I must say John, ever since we first met, you have shown to be one of the most Loyal, dependable, caring, compassionate, kind, and cooperative person I have ever met. You are literally the human definition of not being non-Human." John smiled and said, "Thanks Megu. I feel like that was said in a review for this story too. Since Crusherboy93 knows how to make an Original Character." Megu, Yuma, Toka, and John all laughed before Jones came in and said, "Sir, shall I have the Chefs prepare dinner for you now?"
John was about to object, but Toka said, "Tell them to make a good dinner Jones, we are celebrating the Isogais moving in." John smiled as Jones said, "Very well My-Lady, I shall tell them to make an excellent dish tonight." Toka smiled as Jones walked off. John then said, "Is Hadet here or with her Grandparents, there's an entire room we've set aside so the kids can do their homework." and Yuma said, "She is at her grandparents house. Mom loves spoiling her." John chuckled as Megu said, "She really does. Not to mention she does the same thing she did to you, and to Oba and he laughs like crazy." John smiled more and said, "Well, tell Hadet that she will see a lot more of Marsau when you guys get settled in here."
"She'll be super excited to hear that we're moving with her favorite Uncle." said Megu, causing John to raise an Eyebrow and ask, "Am I really Hadet's favorite Uncle? Both megu and Yuma nodded their heads before Yuma said, "Yeah, she said so herself. So it got us thinking… did you two want to be Hadet's godfather and godmother?" John and Toka, caught completely off guard by that question, looked at each other before looking back at megu and Yuma. John then asked, "What caused you to ask us that question?" Yuma then rubbed the back of his neck as he said, "I know with the clones, we're practically immortal, but there's always that chance we can't come back. So a lot of us in the group have been getting legal things squared away for our children's futures."
"Understandable. You know John, we should also prepare for when the time inevitably comes for us to pass onto the next life you know." Toka said to her husband, who replied, "True, we do. Which means we need to get our wills in Order Toka. not to mention I've always wanted to climb Mount Everest." That was when Yuma said, "Well, with the Tentacles you can free climb it and not worry about getting hurt." John nodded his head and said, "Yeah, but that's something I wanna do when I retire for good. Which I won't be doing until I grow old." Soon Toka, Yuma, and Megu all laughed as John went silent for a few moments before he said, "Yuma, how many other people, besides you, Megu, Hiroto and Hinata, want Tentacles in their necks?" Yuma and Megu looked at each other before looking back at John and Yuma said, "Well, Megu's heard Kayano talk about having Tentacles in her neck again. Ritsu happened to overhear Itona, Terasaka and the rest from his group want Tentacles as well."
"I see…" said John. Toka looked at her husband and said, "What are you thinking about John?" John then stood up, walked over to the window and said, "A thought just crossed my mind sweetie, a thought about everyone in the group having tentacles in their necks." Toka, Megu, and Yuma, all looked at John with looks of shock on their faces as Megu said, "Are you being serious John?" John looked at the three listeners and said, "Yes, with Tentacles we can catch our Targets much easier, if Shiro's son and the lady from the other universe are any example." Then Yuma said, "But you needed Karma and Nagisa to help catch Shiro's son and Itona got his arm busted up by that bitch from the other universe." John then said, "True, but they were also quick to fall after introducing other Tentacle wielding allies into the mix. Like you said Yuma, it took me, Karma, and Nagisa to take down Shiro's son. And yes Itona had his arm broken by that bitch. But with Karma, Young Chiba, and Nagisa, she was quickly subdued and placed in a holding cell at HQ."
"Not to mention the rest of the Yanagisawas. We each took one and quickly dealt with them." Said Megu. John nodded his head and said, "That just proves my point. The more tentacle users we have in the Hunter Classroom, the easier it will be to capture our targets." Then Toka said, "What's sparked this change John? When it came to Karma and Nagisa you said no at first, then you let Megu, Yuma, Hiroto, Hinata, and Ritsu put Tentacles in their necks. Why do you want tentacles in all our necks?" John looked back outside and said, "We need to make sure we have enough Tentacle wielders to make sure that we can do things quickly and quietly, and with few to no Casualties." That was when Yuma said, "Is it also because you wanted to be nice and give everyone Tentacles since it's almost Christmas."
"... Maybe." Said a sweatdropped John. Toka chuckled before she said, "Of course." Then John said, "Come on sweetie, Crusherboy93 hasn't been able to do a Holiday themed Chapter, so he hopes to get this chapter uploaded." That was when Yuma said, "Makes sense, he has tried a lot." Then John said, "And since it's most likely to be on Christmas when he uploads this chapter, let's have a Christmas party here at the Mansion!" Everyone nodded their heads and Toka Called Jones in to explain the plan.
_X_ BERTRAND MANOR, CHRISTMAS EVE _X_ HIROTO'S P.O.V.
Soon we were all getting ready for the party we're having at John and Toka's Mansion. Yuma, Megu, and Hadet were able to get their stuff moved in and were ready to help set up the Manor for the Christmas Party that was going to happen. Marsau, Okuma, Hadet, and Masuda were having a blast around the house. They mostly stayed in the Game Room or their study Room as the Servants, along with John, Toka, Tomohito, Yukiko, Yuma, Megu, Karma, and Manami decorated the Mansion and picked out the perfect Tree to decorate for Christmas Day. By the time they were done, the rest of us showed up for the Party. We decided to have the kids all go in in the game room and had them watched by Jones and Footman Duncan. As the children played in the game room, the Adults were drinking Beer and discussing plans for the New Year.
"Seriously though Nakamura, you have to become a Diplomat. Wasn't that one of the things you wanted to do when we were in E-Class?" Said Toka. Taking a sip of wine, Rio said, "Yeah it was. But I also want to make sure that the girl Sosuke and I adopted is taken care of when he's not around." Rio was referring to their Adopted 9-Year old Daughter from the States, named Mollie Marsh, who was now Mollie Sugaya. She was able to pick up on speaking Japanese quickly with help from Google Translate and John whenever he visited. According to the Adoption Agency John referred them to, she lost her Parents in a Car Accident and refused anyone who wanted to take their place. But Rio and Sosuke were different, she walked up to Rio and pulled her legs into a hug.
"Apparently, Rio looked a lot like Mollie's mom when she died." said Sosuke. Then I said, "Then that explains why she warmed up to you two and no one else." Rio and Sosuke nodded their heads before Rinka said, after taking a sip of her water, "It does make sense. Not to mention how Marsau and Hadet get along so well, eh John, Toka, Yuma, and Megu?" The Adults in question rolled their eyes before John said, "It's clear to all of us that Marsau and Hadet like each other. Even Toka said that she could hear distant wedding bells in the future for them, ain't that right honey?" All our eyes turned to Toka who was taking a sip of her wine before she said, "He's correct." that made all of us laugh before my darling wife looked at me and I knew what she was thinking. I then looked at John and said, "Hey John…"
When the person in question looked at me, Hinata said, "Hiroto and I have been talking about it, and we decided to move in here as well." Then Nagisa said, "Same here with me, Kayano, our son, Sone, and Aguri." Then Taiga said, "Same here with Hinano and I." John smiled and said, "Excellent, I'll let Jones know about you all. I made it clear at the Housewarming party that you all can move into this mansion, I bought it for all of us. Mostly Toka, but also for all of us." that made every one of us smile. Ever since meeting him, John has always been a Compassionate man, he cared for others, if his anger when Karma lied to him about there being no injuries when we went to arrest Teodoto Balducci. He defends his friends, like when it came to Kayano and Nagisa's wedding when he and the others, including myself, defended the ceremony from Akamine Kentaro. He's Loyal; when it came to fighting the Shiro Clone in the old Yanagisawa lab Ruins he almost broke if it weren't for us. He also puts other people's lives ahead of his own, if the Russian Nuclear Reactor's an example of it. I then stood up and said, "Friends, I propose a toast. To John Bertrand. Without him we wouldn't be where we are today. He's a good person, an amazing friend, and to some of us like a brother we never had. We have been blessed with him coming here, to John." Soon everyone stood up and said, "To John."
_X_ THIRD PERSON P.O.V. _X_
John smiled before he said, "Guys, I appreciate that toast. But let's not just toast to me. Let's make a Toast to our accomplishments. The things we've done, the people we've saved. Let's toast to the good moments, the sad moments and what we take from them. Let's toast to the future and what it plans to bring us. Let us toast to each other and to all our friends. Let us toast, for humanity." Everyone smiled and said, "For Humanity." After taking a sip of either Beer or wine, Toka said, "Not everyone deserved to be toasted John. Shiro's evil Cones and the terrorist group that formed because of him." John nodded his head and said, "True, but hopefully we won't have to deal with them anymore since we captured the last of their leaders and Shiro himself and his entire Family." Toka nodded her head as Jones walked in and said, "Dinner is ready sir." John Nodded his head and led the Adults into the dining hall to eat Christmas Eve Dinner. At the table, John noticed that Toka wasn't eating a whole lot and pointed that out to her. Toka smiled and said, "Sorry, I just haven't been feeling myself today." John then covertly asked if she tested if she was pregnant and she said, "No, I…" but that was all she could say before passing out, and John grabbed her. Feeling her forehead, John noticed that Toka was burning up.
Picking Toka up Bridal Style, John said, "Kotaro, once you're done eating, I need you to come to the Master-Master Bedroom. Jones will show you where it is." Kotaro nodded his head and they all watched as John carried Toka out of the dining room and up to their bedroom. Inside, John laid Toka down carefully and made sure she was under covers. Afterwards, he pulled a Chair to her side of the bed and watched her sleep. Soon after that however, he got a damp face cloth, a bowl of cold water, and used it to pat down her face to try and lower her fever. A few minutes go by and Kotaro walks in with his Medical gear. Moving out of the way, John let Kotaro do his job and told Jones to keep everyone out of the Master-Master Bedroom until Kotaro came up with a Diagnosis. Kotaro got permission to check Toka's chest from her and after a few seconds, Kotaro was focused on one area. Standing up, Kotaro asked Toka, "Does your family have any history with any Cancers?"
"What kind of question is that Kotaro, are you saying Toka may have breast Cancer?" asked a shocked John. Kotaro looked at John and said, "I need to make sure so I don't misdiagnose what is wrong." Toka sat up and said, "My Grandmother died of Breast Cancer, refused to get the Surgery to remove it." Kotaro nodded his head and said, "I need to schedule you for an Ultrasound. I hope I'm wrong about it though, but I did feel a lump in her left breast, I just hope I'm wrong." John then said, "What about the Mount Fuji Base, it has an Ultrasound machine there we can use right?" Kotaro nodded his head and said, "I was actually going to suggest the Mount Fuji Base. We can get it checked out after presents are opened, that alright with you Toka?"
Toka nodded her head and said, "I just hope you're wrong Kotaro." That was when both Kotaro and John both said, "You and me both Toka." Toka was then allowed to get some rest and Marsau was worried about his mommy and John reassured his son that Mommy was going to be alright. After saying goodnight to Marsau, John told Hiroto, "Toka's calling off tomorrow, we're getting an Ultrasound done at the Mount Fuji Base." Hiroto nodded his head and said, "Of course. Make sure you find out what's wrong with her." John nodded his head and the two friends said good night to each other.
_X_ MOUNT FUJI BASE, NEXT DAY AFTER OPENING PRESENTS _X_
John helped Toka into the Mount Fuji base where Kotaro, Shiro, Yukiko, and Manami were waiting to do the Ultrasound. John stayed by his wife's side as the Ultrasound showed a lump under Toka's left breast. Kotaro then said, "As I feared. Toka… you have breast cancer, looks like it's at stage 2. We can remove it with Surgery, but that's only if you want to have the procedure done." Toka then said, "Do you even need to ask?! Yes I want the Procedure done." Then John said, "I'll pay the bill, just get the Surgery done." Kotaro nodded his head and said to Shiro, Yukiko, and Manami, "Prepare the operating table."
They nodded their heads and went to get the Surgery room ready. Kotaro then said, "Just so you both know, the bill is ￥1,344,122.00." But John said, "Does it really matter, I'll pay every yen." Kotaro nodded his head again and went to get ready as Toka got undressed to get the procedure done. Later, As she was about to be wheeled in, Kotaro said, "Just to make sure you both know, there's no guarantee that we get it all out. Also, if you want to Toka, we can put Breast implants in to give your breast the shape it was before we remove the tumor, but it will cost a little bit more." John then said, "Toka…" and she said, "I'm okay with that." John and Kotaro nodded their heads as Yukiko walked out and said, "we're ready." Kotaro nodded his head and he and Yukiko wheeled Toka into the Operating room while John sat down waiting for them to get done. After what seemed like forever, when it was actually an hour, Kotaro walked out and John walked up to him.
When John asked how Toka was, Kotaro took off his mask, smiled and said, "The operation was a success, all the Tumor has been removed. We also placed in Toka's breast implant to give it her normal size before the tumor formed." John smiled and hugged Kotaro as he mentioned that he would write the check out as soon as possible. But Kotaro said, "Actually John, I say this makes us even." confused, John asked, "What are you talking about Kotaro?" Kotaro took his glasses off and looked at John with his blue eyes as he said, "John, you're the reason I became a Doctor. How you always want to help people, making sure others are out of danger before worrying about your own safety. You putting other people's lives before your own kind of, in a way, inspired me to become a Doctor. That way I can help people and save lives like you do." John smiled and shed a tear before the two shook hands.
John then walked into the room where Toka was and saw that she was fast asleep. Walking over to her, he slightly nudged her shoulder, causing her to slowly wake up. Seeing her husband, Toka smiled and said, "Hey, was it…" John nodded his head and said, "Kotaro was able to get it all out and place the implant in your left breast. Best of All, Apparently I inspired Kotaro to become a Doctor and decided not to charge us for the Surgery." Toka smiled again and said, "That was nice of him." John nodded his head and kissed Toka passionately before Kotaro walked in and said, "How are you feeling Toka?" and she said, "Tired." Kotaro chuckled before he said, "Well, that will happen with major Surgeries. One more thing, we did a few tests. You are also pregnant." John and Toka were completely speechless, Toka was pregnant again and John asked how far along she was and Kotaro told him, "About 4 weeks, good thing we removed that tumor, am I right?"
John said nothing, all he did was faint from excitement. Soon Kotaro told Toka that she was free to go home, and do nothing but lay in bed. Toka was mad she couldn't do anything around the house, as John had Footman Duncan and Jones keep an eye on her while he took Marsau to school and went to work at the Hunter Classroom. The next few days were boring for Toka, as she was constantly in bed to make sure she was actually okay. Soon she was getting visits from Megu and the other Adults that were living in the Mansion with them. After a few days, Toka was able to do some work, by that time, everyone else decided to move into the mansion as well. When it was New Years eve, all the Adults counted down to midnight and signaled the new year with kisses for the couples. The old year was gone, and the new year was just getting Started, but John could already tell that the new year was going to be an Interesting one. (A.N.: I FINALLY DID IT! I finally posted a chapter on a Holiday. It might be the last chapter for the year.
