Barely at nightfall, in the distant west, the sky was a pale blue dusk colour. On a small thirty-meter clearing adjacent to a small stream of water was a boy sitting on the ground.

This was one and only Naruto Uzumaki. Evidently, he was exhausted not physically but mentally, but strangely, when he arrived at the ground his face wasn't the least bit red, nor was he panting like before. His expression appeared content and pleased, from the knowledge he gained in less than an hour.

The boy sat down leaning on the tree, his two eyes unwaveringly looking to the West where the dusk sky was gradually getting gray. Slowly starting to inhale through his nose, gently exhaling through his mouth; continuous inhalations and faint exhalations that, in the end, made his eyelids become heavy pushing him to rest.

Naruto Uzumaki had two midday meals— Two big bowls of ramen, so although the colour of the sky was gradually growing late, he was not even a bit hungry.

Leaning on the tree, closing his eyes to rest, he carefully recalled the things he learned today, letting his daydreaming deepen even more.

As the day hurried to its end he was also somewhat tired, unconsciously, he already passed into sleep.

"Hello?!"

Not knowing how long, a voice out of nowhere brought Naruto out of his light sleep. Although right now he hadn't rested much, his alert nature still was not small. Subconsciously opening his eyes, looking straight at her lovable pretty face.

Hinata Hyuga looked at Naruto Uzumaki, "It still isn't late enough to sleep, you know."

Naruto hurriedly, somewhat awkwardly, clambered up. Right now, Hinata bent over seemingly closed the distance between their faces, "You seem tired. Are you sure you will be able to spar?"

"You are too close" Naruto muttered, backing off, "And Yes! Yes! I am fine. We can have our spar..." he added, his cheeks slightly flushed. Hinata smirked as she noticed the change in Naruto's expression, because he blushed while explaining himself.

"So? How should we spar in?" Naruto asked as the blush faded. He had never sparred outside the academy, so setting rules by his own might, not be a good idea.

"Well, my clan is quite adept in Taijustu. How about we pit our skills against one other's and have a simple spar". Hinata said.

She watched our blond jinchuriki's match against Katsuki. The blonde boy, even if it was academy Taijustu, his moments were very accurate and his level of understanding was difficult to gauge. He had not even given his all to defeat that boy. In fact, seeing from Naruto's past record, he might, on the whole, have been stronger than Katsuki. As such, it was unlikely that he would defeat Naruto.

Hence, Hinata limited their fights to a match-up using Taijustu techniques only. She would go against Naruto Uzumaki in an area in which he was proficient. Perhaps he might be able to get in a hit or two.

Naruto Uzumaki raised his eyebrows. They would pit skill against skill and fight using Taijutsu techniques only? Others might not realize this, but he knew that Hyuga clan's Taijutsu technique was one of their strongest skill sets. The girl was aware of this, and yet picked this area to fight against him.

"Don't worry I won't be using any clan technique, and it's not worth wasting on someone like you anyway." Hinata said, making Naruto grit his teeth in anger.

'What's with that attitude? Wasn't she the quiet kid in academy? Is she on her periods?' his eyebrows furrowed she was definitely getting on his nerves.

"Shall we start? I don't have all night." Hinata watched Naruto's twisted expression with a smirk.

"Are you ready?" Hinata said as she slipped into one of the Academy style. Shaking his anger Naruto took a relaxed guard.

"This is a practice spar, right?" Naruto Asked as he mimicked Hinata's motion.

"Of course. Just practice," Hinata Replied smoothly.

The two opponents faced off against each other, falling into stances. Naruto took orthodox position with both hand in front in defensive postion, resting his weight on both feet. His opponent, Hyuga, took a different stance, dropping lower with one foot extended before her and a palm Downward as she waited.

"Begin!" Naruto announced.

Naruto rushed the girl, a looping overhand punch coming in to crush her light defense. Rather than take the attack straight-on, Hinata dropped her extended foot and shifted forward blindingly fast, her hand folding as she struck with her elbow as she entered the Naruto's guard. A loud "oof" re sounded through the Training ground as the pair met, the air within his chest driven out.

The girl twisted in that low position, using an other elbow strike as she spun around. The attack sent Naruto spinning, a motion that Hinata exploited to strike him again and again with short, sharp attacks. But it was not all going her way.

[Sensing danger from opposite entity. Activating Augmented Reality on the user's sight to deal with the incoming danger. Activating battle tutorial to start defensive mode.]

"Urgh"

Naruto's eyes shook quickly while it shined with small light particles. Naruto shrugged off the blows and pushed back against her, shoving her aside as Naruto tapped to move to the side and punch Hinata's chin sending her spinning away with sheer force of a punch. Naruto then used his chance to distance himself.

In Naruto's eyes, everything was very different now.

'What is this?'

[Augmented Reality has been activated to guide Master through the battle tutorial to react to the opposite entity.]

Naruto was seeing all kinds of lines and writings over what he was seeing. Even just now, when Hinata's chain attack almost got him, he saw footsteps composed with lights and writing that told him to follow it. Naruto followed it, allowing him to dodge the attack and then a white arrow appeared on Hinata's side with a fist sign, so he followed it.

[There was no direction, so boxing, one of the martial arts recorded in the program, was applied temporarily for this tutorial.]

'Tutorial?'

[It means guidance.]

'You ordered to tell me what to do?'

[I analyzed the hostile entity's movements to the 0.01 scale and came up with the result.]

'I don't know what you are saying. So, what I just did is a... boxing?'

[Boxing is one of embedded martial arts in the program]

'It's okay. If you are using boxing as the tutorial, can you apply it with the Hawk style?'

[The analysis and transfer of Hawk style is complete, so it is possible. Will you apply it?]

'Yeah.'

[Changing tutorial mode to Hawk style.]

"Are you only capable of landing a single blow while I am beating the crap out of you." While Naruto Uzumaki stood still to talk with Nano, Hinata mocked as she got up from the ground.

"Why you! Just wait I'll show you what I am capable of." Naruto declared.

'She is not only fast and she can easily exploit my defence.' Naruto mentally noted, 'If it wasn't for nano I would definitely had to deal with retreating there, but not before I was dealt with few hits.'

Resetting themselves into stances, the pair dashed forward again and exchanged another series of blows.

Naruto's eyes narrowed as Nano send information of her gauged ability. Hinata had little technique mixed up, her style a mixture of what the clan and the academy had taught and something very similar to both all of which focused on small, yet power ful attacks. While she did not connect often thanks to nano, when she did, her greater strength blew past the boy's defence.

On the other hand, Naruto had an interesting and unique short-range style that required him to get within his opponent's reach. It featured a low stance, sharp blocks, and use opponents momentum to power his own style that he used to evade and close in.

The battle raged on the field, the pair working to exploit each other's weakness. As the spar moved even with Nano's guidence Naruto lost most rounds. It was not that Nano was not able to guide him properly, but Hinata's movements were so fast that Naruto could barely follow it's movement.

[Scan complete. Moves prediction accuracy above 87%]

Hinata then charged in again with tens of chops. Naruto saw the chops coming at him along with the directions on where it was all coming from.

'Now I can see where she's going to attack!' Naruto Uzumaki grinned she mocked him enough it was his turn to change the fight pattern. He then followed the steps to dodge the attacks.

'How?! He dodged everything?' It was hard to believe that Naruto who could barely react to the attacks before was now dodging everything. It wasn't only that - Naruto attacked back with a powerful thrust making her defence fall.

'No no i can't let him attack me this close.' She unconsciously slipped into gentle fist style.

Before Naruto had fully turned, a slap caught him on his cheek, sending him sprawling backward. Before he could recover, strikes came one after the other, forcing Naruto to cover up and ride out the flurry of attacks. He groaned slightly as a thrust caught him on his right arm, another his exposed lower ribs, then a solid thrust to his stomach. As he fell back ward.

"It seems I won again."

"Hahaha Sure!" Our blonde Jinchuriki laughed as he scrambled to his feet, his body throbbing.

Hinata had stepped back, snarling at her opponent. "Laughing? Do like to get beat up so much that you fell in love with losing?"

Naruto smirked and strode forward, closing the distance between them. Drawing a deep breath, he calmed his emotions.

"Hyuga-sama you just honoured me with your precious clan technique which you were sure of, that you won't be needing it to defeat this peasant" Naruto mocked, making Hinata realise what technique she used to give the finishing blow.

"That was a mistake." She argued, "Even without it, I could have defeated you. There's no way you would have won this round."

"Nope! I totally forced you to use that." Naruto grinned. He was proud of his little achivement.

Hinata sighed, she knew he was right. He must have pushed her to the edge for her to use gentle fist against a academy student. She might have won more rounds than him— which was expected. But this mistake shows her incompetence in Academy version of Taijutsu.

"Yep you are right I guess this spar was your win." She accepted her defeat.

'WTF? Did she just accepted her defeat without bitching or mocking me? Yup this is definitely the day of the month. Such mood swings' Naruto sighed making Hinata wonder.

"But didn't you win more rou—"

"No buts I shouldn't have used that Taijutsu. It was not a fair match and if I have to be honest there were times I used my clan techniques in middle of our spar. And on the other hand, you even with just that Academy style not only did you defeat me but even adapted to my speed as we moved forward with our little spar." Hinata smiled.

Hinata's talk made him guilt trip. It was not her who cheated it was him. Throughout their spar Naruto was totally dependable on Nano not a single move he made was from his own battle intuition.

"Well I learned a alot from this spar, so I am looking forward to our next practice session." Hinata said, making Naruto wide eyed. She glanced at the sky it was getting dark.

"Well I have to go home and report to the clan compound." Hinata dashed but stopped abruptly, "before I leave i apologise for those harsh words I was just trying to make you give to your emotions so that so you would mess-up. Good night Naruto-kun" leaving Naruto alone with his thoughts.

'Aahhg it's so frustrating to cheat and make your opponent feel bad about it. 'Naruto looked up at the dark sky, 'In our next spar I definitely won't rely on Nano'

Compare to him; she was true prodigy and on top of that Naruto overestimated his abilities. He was able to fight well with Nano's help, but he realized he lacked experience.

'I can't ignore the experience.' If it wasn't for Nano, he might have lost every single round.

'It will take time for me to gain experience and getting spar like this again won't be a easy task. Therefore, I need to know how to utilize what I have first.'

Knowing about the battle tutorial would have helped him if he knew that before, this was a spar but if it was another assassination attempt he wouldn't have survived. And he was was right Nano's beginners manual didn't have any thing related about battle mode.

'Nano.'

[Yes, Master.]

'How many skills did I use from what you currently have?'

Nano kept showing him new abilities, but it was all due to the fact that Nano was only reacting to emergencies.

[Checking user data. Currently, Master has used 3% of the Nano Machine ability.]

Naruto Uzumaki was only interested in Ninja arts so his usage was bound to be low, Nano's basic program was so vast that if all of it was used, it was enough to turn this age upside down. Nonetheless, most of it was locked in the program anyway, but Nano did not tell Naruto Uzumaki of this.

"Three percent?"

[Yes, Master.]

'I only used so little?'

[Official records indicate that most users utilize 30% of the Nano Machine on average.]

'I'm sure there will be a lot of useful abilities.' Naruto then realized he had not been using the Nano Machine to its fullest potential.

'Tell me about all your abilities.'

[Understood. Transferring detailed user manual regarding the 7th generation Nano Machine to the brain. Will you accept?]

'Yeah.'

[It will accompany the transfer of the English language education program for better understanding. Will you accept?]

'Is it the language that you sometimes use?'

[That is correct, Master.]

'Yeah, okay.'

Nano then began transferring the information into Naruto's brain. It took quite some time since there was a lot of information, and when it was complete, Naruto did not feel nauseous or sick anymore. It seemed like his brain had now adjusted to the information transfer. He was only a little bit dizzy. As the dizziness faded, Naruto began to go through what the Nano Machine could do.

'Can you do all these things?' It was beyond his common sense. There were multiple ways to help Naruto fill the gaps for his lack of experience. One of them was the repeated simulation ability.

'So I can simulate battling others in augmented reality?' Naruto was now able to understand the English words and other futuristic words.

[Yes, but it requires the analysis of the opponent's movements.]

'Can I use Hinata's movements?'

[There is a lack of information for the basic motion, but creating an avatar based on the previous battle records is possible.]

It wasn't perfect but it was still better than nothing.

'Okay. Let's try it then.' Naruto then changed direction and went to a remote area with no one around. It was free time until Midnight, so he decided to train with Nano's simulation.

[Activating Augmented Reality. Creating an avatar for battle simulation.]

Nano's voice came and a light appeared in his eyes to turn into Hinata Hyuga.

"Whoa." Naruto became astonished. This Hinata Huyga was the avatar that only he could see.

[Adjusting the simulation information. Please set the damage percentage that avatar can inflict on the user.]

'Damage percentage?'

[If you want it same as reality, you can set it to 100%, but you can set it lower to lessen the impact.]

'I see. Then let's set it to 100%.' He thought it wouldn't be too painful since it was still a fake. Naruto realized the hard way that he had made a foolish choice.

[Beginning the simulation.] Hinata's avatar then smirked

[You lost! Can't even land a single hit cheater]

"What?!" Naruto Uzumaki was dumbfounded. He didn't expect the avatar to copy even the speech. He knew the avatar was fake, but it still felt irritating.

'I guess considering it's illusion, I can crush her head this time then!' Naruto Uzumaki then attacked and Hinata's avatar attacked him back. It was the same attack that he encountered before. Naruto thought of how he dodged it due with Nano's tutorial and sidestepped it to follow up with a round kick Attack. And at that instant...

[You think such a pathetic attack will work again?]

Hinata's avatar shouted and twisted her body weirdly to dodge it. Then she slammed her palm into Naruto's stomach.

"Urgh" Naruto Uzumaki fell with the strong pain in his stomach. He didn't realize it would give him such real pain.

"Urgh... how can it be this painful?!" Naruto Uzumaki winced and Nano answered.

[Nano Machine replicated the same amount of pain reception that Master felt earlier.]

"Dammit." Naruto cursed his actions, It was foolish to set the damage percentage to 100%.

[Will you change the percentage?]

'...No. Leave it!' Naruto refused. He came to believe that such pain would make him weary of every move even if all of this was fake.

[Do you concede? Or should I make you fall in love with losing all over again?]

'Oh I am so going to beat your ass'

Late at night, Naruto finished training with the Augmented Reality simulation and was on his way back to his run down appartment. He was exhausted from the three hours of training. Nano healed his wounds right away, but it still made him tired.

'I only won once out of the fifteen spars.' Naruto sighed. Without the battle tutorial, the first spar was over after five exchanges.

'beat her ass? She whooped mine instead.' Nano's voice rang in the embarrassed Naruto's mind.

[Your ability will increase as you gain experience. Master's choice of movement and right skill will increase as you progress.]

He had lost six times straight in the beginning, but he began to react to Hinata's attack starting from the seventh spar. Naruto was able to launch counterattacks that Hinata's avatar could not react to starting with the tenth duel. And on the last one, he was able to win after more than thirty exchanges.

'But it was only a victory with Hinata using only basic Academy Taijutsu with some mixed up clan technique.' Hinata Hyuga's avatar had limited actions because Naruto did not have all of the data, but it still was hard to defeat Hinata. This made Naruto even more eager to train.

'Whew. I will defeat that avatar easily in a few days.'

[Understood, Master.]

It was Naruto's first goal, but there was a piece of information that Naruto did not know. Hinata Hyuga's avatar was created with what Naruto had experienced in the real battle, but Avatar Hinata had full knowledge of what martial arts skills that Naruto could use. This meant that if Naruto achieved victory over the avatar that knew all of his movements and never got exhausted, that was a great feat already.

'I should go visit Ichiraku's Ramen, I am so hungry~" On que his stomach growled. 'What buddy you need 3 Bowls, after those thrust I guess you and I both deserve it.'
