It was on the day after Elizabeth had left again that someone entered my room while I was showering.
I had just gotten out and exited the bathroom in my bathrobe when I saw someone laying on my couch.
I gasped, causing them to turn sharply towards me.
"So, you're the reason my brother has changed so much…" He said.
"Who the hell are you?" I asked as I stepped back.
He smiled as he sat up, taking a glass from the side table and sipping deeply. "I am Aro. One of Edward's older brothers." He started as he smiled at me.
"Ok, what do you want?" I asked, glaring at him as I stepped back.
"Just to get acquainted. So, what is your name, principessa?" He asked me.
"Bella Swan," I replied as I walked into the closet.
I quickly slid on my undergarments, sweatpants, and a large sweater before exiting the comfort of my closet.
"So, princess, how has your stay been?" He asked, nonchalantly.
"It's been…. Alright." I muttered, shrugging.
"From your tone, I take it you mean the opposite. Thinking of getting away? Let me inform you of what will happen. It is nearly impossible to do so, especially with the number of servants. Not only that but if one of those men catches you, not only will that person try to have fun with you, all of them will join in. So, think before you try something stupid." He replied sitting back down.
" When did I give you the idea that I wanted to get away? I lost everything after I got kidnapped by those Romanian bastards. I have nothing, so if you think that will scare me, it won't now get out of my room, you asshole, you're not welcome here." I retorted, turning away.
I heard him scoff, ignoring my discomfort as he sat there.
I curled into a ball on my mattress and began shaking violently as his words bounced around in my head.
I listened to the wind howl outside but jumped as I heard the window open.
I grabbed the knife hidden under my pillow and threw it at the perp before jumping again when I heard the familiar voice.
"What the fuck?"
I quickly wiped my face with my hands as I sat up and turned sharply to find Edward standing there confused as he pulled the knife from the wall next to his head.
He ignored him as he saw the look on my face, walking over to me and pulling me out of bed, before lifting my chin with his fingers, until I looked at his face.
"What the fuck did you tell her, Aro? She looks fucking scared out of her wits." He said as he frowned as he stared down at me.
I flinched as I heard Aro began to chuckle in response.
"I simply stated a few harmless facts to her, fratellino." Aro said with a shrug.
Edward stared at my lost, wide-eyed expression as the air in my lungs began to woosh rapidly in and out, as I finally heard the door close in the background.
"Cara?" I heard him say before I felt my head begin to swim, and everything went black.
I woke up with my room submerged in darkness.
As I sat up on my bed, I heard the familiar click of the keys on a laptop and noticed the soft glow of the screen on the wall across from my bed, as the soft hum interrupted the quietness of the room.
I turned to find Edward, angrily talking to someone on the phone as he types something into the computer.
"Dad, he was in her room without your knowledge or permission. No, of course not. She passed out in my arms after having a panic attack. She is fine, just needs rest. You need to— Alright, I got to go." He said, hanging up, before turning to the laptop again as he scanned different files.
"Eddie?" I muttered, quietly causing him to stiffen before relaxing.
I watched him close the laptop, before getting up and making his way towards me.
His green eyes gleamed even in the darkness, as he scanned my face.
"What did my brother tell you?" He finally asked.
I turned away before he grabbed my chin and turned me back towards him.
"He said that if I escaped, the men roaming the house would catch me and have their way with me…" I finally said, before looking away from his intense eyes. "Is it true?" I asked, as my voice broke.
"Until I can take over, it is. I am not in charge yet, principessa." He replied, tiredly, before looking at me. "But when I am, I will fulfill all of the oaths I have ever made to you. I won't rest until I do." He vowed fiercely., as he took my hand into his, before bringing it up to his lips.
I sighed nodding, as he moved to my side, and let me put my head on his shoulder.
