Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria has once more closed for the evening. For everybody in the local town, it is unwise to enter the pizzeria at night. This is because many security guards hired to watch the place at night simply disappeared, with many that did escape the night being declared insane after telling them that the animatronics were trying to get into the office to kill them.

Of course, the town's people are completely unaware of the truth of what is going on inside the pizzeria.

Inside, darkness enveloped the small restaurant. The only light was a faint blue light, barely illuminating the show stage, and three animatronics standing motionless.

These are the main animatronics of the band: Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the Bunny, and Chica the Chicken.

These animatronics, during the daytime, simply perform for the children during the day. But at night, these robots become something different entirely.

You see, these animatronics, including the fourth animatronic, Foxy, are haunted. The spirits inhabiting them are little children who have been murdered by a mysterious man, and their bodies were stuffed inside these suits. Since then, for nearly 20 years, they have suffered inside these suits as they waited for the day of their retribution.

Sadly, that has not come to be as of yet. No matter how many guards they managed to catch and kill, hoping that said guard would be the one, none were the man who robbed them of their happiest day.

And for one, he felt like he couldn't take it anymore…

For a good while, nothing moved inside the empty restaurant. All was quiet.

Then, a loud sound of metal clanging echoed throughout the building.

Now there are only two animatronics; Freddy and Chica.

Freddy blinked as he slowly searched for Bonnie, the animatronic's joints creaking from its age.

Before long, he found Bonnie limping away from the stage and into the darkness. Freddy grew concerned. Bonnie has been very quiet for the last few nights, even more so than usual.

Freddy decided to remain on the stage. But Chica, on the other hand, had other ideas. Chica walked down the stage and followed after Bonnie.

Bonnie stopped in the center of the party room and looked down on the floor.

"J-J-Jeremy?" said a glitched voice of a girl. Bonnie stopped and slowly turned his head towards the source: Chica.

"Did you call me by my real name, S-S-Susie?" Bonnie replied. Chica nodded.

"Yup. You did too." Chica replied. Bonnie frowned again and looked down.

"Somet-t-thing wrong?" asked Chica, approaching him.

"I…I don't know if I can do this anymore." Bonnie explained.

Freddy, meanwhile, blinked as he heard this conversation. He tilted his head as he listened,

"W-We've been doing this so many times! Each and every-t-t-time we catch someone, it's NOT the man!" Bonnie said.

"I kn-kn-know! But we've got to keep trying!" Chica explained.

"I can't do it! I-It's always the same! 'We'll get this one!', 'We're gonna get this one!' But NONE of them are the one!" Bonnie complained, left foot stomping on the ground! Chica stepped back, growing a bit fearful.

Freddy blinked in surprise before narrowing his eyes. He decided to intervene before things could get worse.

Moving forward, Freddy raised his arm forward and spoke,

"B-B-Bonnie. Calm down." he said. Bonnie looked up.

"My name is NOT Bonnie. It's Jeremy! And it's not fair! I…I can't take it anymore." Bonnie shouted, metal clanking and hands tightening. Then, the room went silent as the two stared at one another.

Bonnie's eye then grew sad as he looked down.

"I just…wanna go home. I m-m-miss my mom. I miss my little brother." he whimpered as he collapsed onto the floor, covering his eyes with his hands, even though he cannot produce tears.

Freddy stared down at Bonnie, almost helpless to help his friend. Then, he heard Chica behind her.

"P-Please don't cry, Jeremy. We…We'll g-go to heaven soon. We have too." she whimpered before she began to quiver.

Freddy was feeling overwhelmed.

"This has always been going on for so long. All thanks to that man in the yellow bunny costume. This is too much. Oh, Marion…Charlie. Please come back. You always know what to do." he thought to himself, looking at his hands.

Freddy covered his hands and quivered, feeling like he wanted to just cry even though he couldn't.

Then, he stopped and looked up at his friends, seeing them so scared and vulnerable, just like how they were when this all started. He remembered how he would always be there to support them. He would've been the shoulder for them to cry on. Their listening ear. He led them for 20 years up to this point, with or without Charlie to guide them.

He couldn't just let them fall apart now. Not when they're like this. But what can he do? Bonnie's right on one thing: it's always the same thing!

Freddy walked closer to Bonnie and Chica and said,

"B-B-Bonn…No. Jeremy." Freddy said, referring to Bonnie by his real name. This shocked the two.

"I'm so sorry. I tried to get us through this nightmare, and we're nowhere near achieving peace. W-We're still stuck in these stupid bodies, and it's all my fault! I'm so useless!" he almost shouted, voice nearly glitching out!

Bonnie stared at him as Chica approached him.

"But this isn't your fault, Freddy! You led us the whole time! W-We don't know where we'd be without you!" she said. Freddy, however, remained unconvinced.

"What am I supposed to do? What else CAN I do? I wanna do more for all of us…but I can't. I'm so sorry." he confessed.

Bonnie watched as Freddy's hand shivered. He stood up and spoke with,

"Fr-r-reddy. This isn't your fault. I just can't take this anymore."

Chica approached and asked,

"You're not alone, Jeremy. I can't do this either. But like Freddy said: what else can we do?"

"Well. Keep moving f-f-foward for one." Freddy proclaimed. Bonnie and Chica blinked as they turned to look at him.

"We've been doing that for many years. But there's nothing else we CAN do. We don't know where the man is, and we can't leave either. They block the place with strong gates. Right now, we just keep doing what we've been doing." Freddy explained. Bonnie blinked again.

"But how are you certain that we'll get it this time?" he asked. Freddy frowned as he looked at the direction where the entrance was. The entrance to their old world and to where the man would be. With a sorrowful look, he looked at Bonnie and shook his head.

"We don't. How can we? We just have to keep doing it. Our chances of getting out of here are tiny…but I'd rather have a tiny chance to go to Heaven than N-N-N-NO chance at all." Freddy said.

Bonnie looked down, not feeling much better.

"You're right, I guess." he said as he looked down.

Then, there was lights shining from the outside in the entrance area. Freddy, Chica, and Bonnie turned in the direction.

"Another guard. Think it might be him this time?" asked Chica.

"It has to b-b-be. Everyone, get into position." Freddy stated.

Soon, everyone was in at the show stage. Freddy eyed the rest of the show stage, making sure everything was in order. Then, he turned his eyes towards Pirate's Cove, where Foxy, or Fritz, resides. Freddy frowned a bit: he didn't like how Foxy likes to keep to himself most of the time. He wasn't sure why. Maybe he suffered the worst out of everyone? Regardless, he knew he had to take care of him as well.

"Hey. Freddy."

Bonnie's voice made Freddy turn to him. Bonnie's eyes gave off a grateful aura.

"Thanks for trying to cheer me up. You're not like Charlie, but you st-t-till do your best." he said. Freddy blinked and looked ahead into the darkness. Then, he said,

"G-G-Gabriel."

"Huh?" asked Bonnie. Freddy's eyes were on him, and Freddy replied,

"My name is Gabriel."

Bonnie's eyes lit up slightly as the spirit inside of him was happy upon hearing of his friend's real name.

Then, the door opened and closed. The two animatronics froze up and stood still as the security guard walked inside. The guard approached the show stage and looked at them as if to inspect them. Freddy's eyes managed to catch the guard's name tag.

Mike Schmidt.

The guard then sighed to himself as he then turned around and walked off. Freddy narrowed his eyes slightly.

"This HAS to be the one." Freddy thought to himself, determined. Then, his eyes turned to see that the curtain in Pirate's Cove moved slightly. The guard stopped for a moment as he looked at the curtain. Then, he shrugged and walked off to the office.

Freddy knew that Foxy was also hoping that this man would be the one. He and his friends that are trapped inside these suits could only wait until they catch him…if they can.

AN: Hey, ya'll! A simple FNAF oneshot 2 days before Security Breach comes out!

This is my first time writing about the animatronics, or more specifically, the children inside the spirits. A lot seem to forget or not care about the fact that the animatronic characters are…well, animatronics. So I figured I would also put some focus on the spirits themselves, as I've never seen other fanfics or official media tackle how the spirits are going on…at least to my knowledge.

You know the drill: Hope you enjoy it! Please let me know if I did anything wrong!
