I didn't think I would come back, not after the first time. The pain is still too much, still too fresh. I sit here, wondering about all we have lost.
A love un-bloomed.
A spring day unseen.
A laugh never heard from you again.
I gently lay sunflowers on your grave. You once told me they were your favorite flower, that they represented hope and love.
They were forever reaching for the sunlight.
And I realize that was what our love was like, two flowers forever reaching for the sunlight.
