Edward's POV:
After my princess fell asleep, I made sure she was comfortable before informing my dad, and brothers of my plans.
Even though they were all opposed, they knew there was no stopping me.
So, Jasper and Carlisle decided to accompany me to make sure I didn't do anything stupid, but we all knew they were here to check on Aro.
"You do know you are crossing the line by doing this, right?" Carlisle said, as he looked over at me as we reached the location.
I ignored him as we both walked into the house, hearing a pained scream.
I guess my mom really was pissed yesterday. Especially since she called her reinforcement, Jane.
Janey Monroe also known as Jane The Pain is one of the best interrogators we have. Her brother, Alec and her make a pretty penny extracting information that we need. Never killing but hurting enough to want to send you over the edge only to bring you back with a cold bucket of water. She tends to go where none of us go. Her specialty? Electricity, and knives along with other bobbles she's created specifically to cause pain.
Carlisle winced at me, as Jasper shook his head as we walked further into the room.
We found Jane standing over Sulpicia, wincing at the sight.
We all gapped at the sight before us. Wondering for a second if this was Sulpicia, but she turned to look at us and gasped in fear.
From what we could see, her nails had been pulled off her fingers, and her fake hair was no longer attached to her head.any things seemed to be detached, actually. It seems the faker you are the more Jane can use it against you.
"P-please. Help—help me…" she gasped as Jane scoffed.
"Your mother said, platinum right? Does that mean I can use the generator or do I have to let her live?" Jane asked, in a bored tone.
"Let her live." Carlisle said, putting a hand on my shoulder to get me to answer.
I shrugged it off, before turning to face Jane. "What information have you gotten from her?" I asked, ignoring my brother's gaping expressions.
"Not much. Just who they have been getting that crap from and what they have revealed to them." She said with a shrug.
"What about their plans?" I asked.
"They planned all the shit that happened yesterday. Only to scare Bella. They wanted to scare her enough that she leaves and doesn't come back." She explained.
I growled as I took a step towards the piece of trash, only to be pulled back by Carlisle and Jasper.
"Hold it, Tiger. There's more. Aro has been in contact with the Romani. The war that was instigated ten years ago? That was only the beginning. You need to get your father and mother to a safe place, along with everyone else, it seems everyone is in danger now." She explained, hurriedly.
"Where is Aro being kept?" Jasper asked, calmly, but we all knew that he was beyond pissed.
"Basement. He sang like a canary, too. Alec was a bit disappointed since he didn't get to do much." Jane said as she smirked at us.
"Please…" Sulpicia gasped.
"Please, that is all you have to say? You two have fucking pulled us into a fucking massive conflict, you have fucked this family over so badly that we all may die, and now you want to beg? Beg to my father, he may listen to you." I growled before walking away.
Carlisle looked at me before pulling out his phone and pressing the speed dial to call Dad.
As he did that Jasper and I quickly made our way towards the basement.
There we found Aro, bound with chains to the wall. Half conscious.
He seemed to be sweating like crazy. His hair was matted onto his forehead, and his clothes were all stained from all of the sweat.
"Ah, so you come to gloat, have you?" He asked weakly.
Jasper rushed over to him, smacking him across the face, causing him to groan as his face was roughly turned to the side.
"No, fottuto idiota, we came here to see why you did it. Do you not fucking realize that your actions are going to hurt our mother? What the fuck is wrong with you? Do you not remember Maria? What happened to her? Why the fuck would you want to do that to yourself?!" He growled. (fucking idiot)
"It got out of hand. It was not my intention for this to happen." Aro said, shaking his head sadly. "For what it's worth I am sorry for what I did, Edward." He quietly said, looking down.
He was sorry? What good would that do? My princess is beside herself with all the shit that has happened. I should bust a cap in his ass but I couldn't, not without my dad's agreement.
"You should be. You have been nothing but a pain in the ass for the last four years. Why did you do it, Aro? Why did you start sniffing that shit, knowing what the outcome could be? Did you not remember what happened to Uncle Marcus and Uncle Caius? Their wives? Is that what you want to happen to you and Sul? Because it sure as hell seems like it." I asked, shaking my head as I tried not to let my feelings get in the way of the situation.
"I do remember. I am the one who found them, slick. That shit stays with you. I have been trying to quit, but it's not fucking easy. I need help. Sulpicia does too." He muttered, staring at the ground.
"The only help your ass will be getting is to hell." My dad suddenly said, in a cold tone.
"Dad— Look, I am sorry. I don't remember doing any of the shit that I did. I swear." Aro sputtered as my dad walked further into the room with Emmett closely behind.
"Sorry?! You think a simple fucking sorry is going to fix what you've fucking done? The Romanians want Bella, and you practically threw her to the wolves. Why the fuck would you do that? Has she not suffered enough? Has she not gone through enough? You better hope your mother doesn't find this shit out or you and Sulpicia are as good as dead." He growled in Aro's face.
"What did I do?" Aro asked, confused.
"You fucking agreed to give Bella over." My father snapped. "Not only that, but guess what I found out. Her father had sold her to them. That's why they want her back." He growled, causing us all to stiffen.
"You're dead!" I growled, rushing towards him only for Emmett to push me back.
"No, we can't kill him. Not yet. He is of use to us for now." My dad said, looking at us.
Aro's eyes widened as he stared at us.
"You are going to call your contact when I tell you. For now, you are going to stay here and get that shit out of your system. We got to go and call our allies, shit is heading their way, and they need to be aware." My dad said as he inclined his head towards the door.
We all turned and walked out of the basement, only to be stopped by my father as we reached the door.
"You all have to be calm about this. If the girls ask what is happening, we tell them that we have decided to extend our travels and go somewhere else. I had already spoken to Felix about this before coming here. He and Eleazar are going to keep an eye out, for now. Until we know that they are going to attract, we will not retaliate." He firmly said, looking at me.
"What the fuck are you looking at me for?" I snapped.
"Because il tuo prezioso gioiello, is in danger. I know how hotheaded you are, boy, if you rush in guns ablaze, you'll get us all killed. So, I am ordering you not to do it." He said, calmly. (Your precious jewel)
I scoffed and walked out of the house, making my way onto the boat.
The ride felt like eternity, as I anxiously waited for us to reach our destination.
We had just walked through the door when we heard our mother scream out in terror.
We all pulled out our guns and rushed in her direction.
Emmett and Jasper quickly stepped in front of me as my dad and Carlisle rushed into the room.
"Move the fuck out of my way." I growled.
"No, Carlisle said to not let you pass." Emmett said as he stood before me.
"What ? why?" I asked.
"Something is wrong with Bella. She passed out. He's checking her now, if we let you pass you'll only interfere, we need to make sure she is alright before you go in." Jasper explained.
I gasped, rushing towards them only to be thrown back. I tried four more times only to be thrown back again.
"That's enough." My mother said, appearing in front of me.
I stared at my brothers through narrowed eyes before turning to look at her. "Ma, what's wrong with her?" I asked.
"She had an anxiety attack. She is fine now but she needs to rest. We need to check on her every so often, she wants to be alone for a while." She replied as my dad and Carlisle exited the room.
She sighed and patted my shoulder as I sat down on one of the couches.
I dropped my head into my hands as I waited for access to her room.
For the second time in two days, I felt powerless. She had gotten hurt, and I wasn't there to help her.
She must hate me by now.
