Rose, who had been busy arguing about something with Alice, turned to look as she was taking a drink, her eyes widened comically, and she snorted, almost spitting out her wine. Causing Emmett to move over to us and gently pat her back amused.
Alice bit her lip and turned to laugh into Jasper's chest as I turned away, and bit my lip to keep from laughing out loud.
Tanya looked embarrassed as she walked towards her seat, wearing a loose black and flowered moomoo.
"I think my grandma used to have one of those." I murmured to Edward causing him to snort.
"Mine too." He replied, as his brow furrowed, tilting his head, as he inspected it. "Wait. I think that was my grandma's." He said as he snorted too.
"Kids, why don't we all grab a glass of champagne and enjoy the rest of the night?" Elizabeth asked, winking at me as she turned away.
We all nodded, and reached for a flute that had been brought out by a waiter, as smooth jazz began playing in the background.
Edward smiled at me, taking my flute, before leading me to the makeshift dance floor.
The rest of the night seemed to blend together.
When we woke up the next morning, we were back in our room. Edward and I were still wearing out rumpled clothes and discarded our shoes sometime during the night.
My head hurt a little bit, and Edward's did too.
After we woke up, he smiled at me, before sighing, and kissing my forehead."I need to speak to you about something." He said, as we laid in bed.
"About what?" I asked, with a yawn.
"The truth." He replied with a sigh.
"Which is?" I asked him with a confused frown.
"Things are about to change, principessa. I need you to be strong for what's about to come." He finally told me.
I frowned, "What exactly is coming?" I asked him, quietly.
"A war." He told me.
"With— With the Romanians?" I asked, after I swallowed thickly.
He frowned, "H-how did you know about–?" He began.
"I had a dream." I told him, accidentally cutting him off.
"A dream? About what?" He asked, lifting himself up onto his elbow.
"My father, I — I think. He had a money problem, gambling and that sort of thing, and told them to take me. It's why he took me to the park that day…" I told him, as I sat down and wrapped my arms around my knees.
"Fuck. Are you sure, principessa?" He asked, wide-eyed.
"If my memory has it correct, then yes. I tend to repress bad things that happen to me, but somehow being here and after what happened with your brother the other night, I was triggered, and I remembered. My mother was murdered because of him. I'm here because of him. I hope he's rotting in the deepest pit of hell." I whispered, looking at the ceiling, as I blinked away tears.
"Amore, you're safe. I will make you safe." He promised, as he pulled me to his chest, and kissed my hair.
"Caro, I need you to promise me something." I finally said, as I pulled away, refusing to feel weak.
"What?" He asked hesitantly.
"I need you to promise me that no matter what you'll all be careful. That you will take those bastards down, but when the time is right." I told him.
"Isa, amore, I don't know what is going to happen. So, I can't make this promise. I can promise that they'll pay for every tear you've ever cried." He told me.
I nodded, "I'll take that promise." I whispered, trying to squash the feeling that something bad was about to happen.
We got out of bed, and took turns showering and changing.
Seeing as we were about to travel I opted to wear a pair of ripped black jeggings, a white cotton tshirt, and a forest green long cardigan. Adding my favorite pair of black Chelsea combat boots.
While usually I would wear a skirt and blouse, Edward told me as I pulled out my clothes that I need to be comfortable, and in something that I could run in, just in case.
He opted to wear a pair of jeans, a black Tshirt, and a dark blue blazer, and a pair of black leather rugged boots.
"Where will we be headed first?" I asked.
He looked at me, before sighing, "London, then we will be heading to Spain, France and Italy before finishing in Germany." He told me.
I raised a brow, "Is there a specific reason as to why we're all heading to all of these places before Germany?" I asked.
"Business. It'll be quick." He promised.
I nodded, not wanting to question him more than I needed to.
As we made our way to the breakfast table, almost everyone was there. All except Aro, Sulpicia, and her guest were there.
We ate in silence, before slowly getting up and heading to the living room to speak.
Senior eyed us, before he turned to look at everyone. "I'm sure you're all wondering what's going on, and from what I can see, the guys have already explained the details to you. We'll all be heading to different places and will be meeting in Italia. Sicily if I'm being more specific. I ask of all you not to do anything heroic or stupid while you're out there by yourselves. Enjoy your travels. I'll be seeing all of you very soon." He said.
As soon as he said that he dismissed us all.
Edward and I were the first to leave. We headed back to the mainland, where a car was waiting to take us back to the private airport.
Felix, Peter, and Demetri were there waiting for us as we arrived.
Edward and Felix spoke for a second before he escorted us to the jet
Once we were all on, Edward smiled at me, "Are you ready?" He asked me.
I smiled, "Not one bit. Let's go." I replied, eagerly.
