A drip of water kept hitting a bucket already full of it. It really needed to be emptied to work. Sarabeth groaned, Was I supposed to do that? Then she realized that she was bound to a bed.
Carefully testing she found she was still dressed, with only wrists held down. However her ankles, calves, and thighs each had their own bands. So she guessed whoever had her there didn't think much of how she would fight with just her arms if she could get her wrists free. That's an important if.
Then she saw the Beskar. Well, this just got more complicated. No longer pretending to be asleep she pulled herself as erect as she could and called, "Su cuy'gar!" when they didn't respond to her hello she continued, "I thought that Verd ori'shya beskar'gam. Or is that a lie?"
"It is not a lie," the voice as indignant and she fought back a smile. No Mandalorian would let someone question their warrior status, "My ner vod wanted to question you first."
Settling comfortably Sarabeth answered, "What a coincidence, I wanted to ask a few questions of my own." Leaning her head back, "But I can wait until your ner vod is ready."
What followed was nearly an hours worth of a waiting game. Sarabeth remained calm throughout it all though, not showing any indication of discomfort. Just waiting patiently for her captors convenience. If they wanted to make her sweat it didn't work, they sweated instead. She knew Mandolorians.
Instead when the lead Mandalorian finally marched in they found Sarabeth quietly doing her daily remembrance, and saying the names of those she had lost. Holding up her hand she went on for another five minutes before ending. Then she lowered it again and smiled at the helmeted Mandalorian who still wore full armor and weaponry, "Lovely place you have here. I hope I didn't put you to any trouble."
"Who do you work for?" the Mandolroian demanded.
Sarabeth's smile remained, "What a coincidence, I was going to ask who hired you this time." Then before the flustered Mando could continue, "I'll call you Jaig for the Jaig eyes on your helmet. Well Jaig, I work at the Yinchorri Dojo on Coruscant although I think your bounty information should have covered that." All of this was stated in a pleasant tone as if discussing the weather in a park instead of a bounty in a Mandoloian brig.
Recovering their intimidation the Mandalorian continued, "I don't think you understand…"
Sarabeth cut them off,"Oh I understand perfectly." Then looking up at them, "Someone important, probably a Moff, put a bounty on my son Jinn Wing and you thought it would be an easy score to get a child. But I have made myself a bother," her voice inflection changed, "as have such a bad habit of doing," it fell back, "and now you need to know what to do with me." Seeing their hands fall from their hips, "You are also waiting for word from your client so you don't dare to do any permanent damage to me because you do not want to jeopardize your payment which you probably need badly."
A stutter, "W-we don't need it badly."
The response was a snort, "Really. Because form what I see you need at least four new power converters, six power cuff links and an overhaul on the water system and that's just this room! I shutter to think what the rest of the ship looks like. Especially from the state of your beskar."
A new voice came in, as another helmeted Mando stepped out of the shadows with touches of gold on his armor, "Our beskar?"
"Yes goldy, your beskar." Rolling her eyes, "I know that beskar is everything to Mandolorians who save up for generations to get a set. And once they get it, that beskar is their greatest treasure. But none of you have cleaned your beskar in at least a month, and they have been cleaned with some of the cheapest ways available." Smiling grimly at them, "And that is something that you cannot hide."
The two helmeted people had a quick discussion as if they were they were trying to decide something but before that happened there was the sound of one person clapping. Then a tall deep red Dathomirian Zabarak with grey horns and back markings came into view. However he had his natural legs so it was not Maul. The newcomer gave a deep chuckle, "Well, she does have spunk." Looking down at her, "You are right, a Moff paid for us to take your child and that payment was handsome but it does not match another deal that I made." Seeming to consider her, "I do wish I did not have to give you to the Grysks, but they are insistent."
Studying him, "And they have something you want in return."
The Dathmarian nodded, "You are very observant." Then he smiled, "However they wanted another Chiss for their collection and study." Looking her up and down, "And if half the things we have heard are true, then you are excellent bait for the most annoying of the Chiss."
On that note the three captors left Sarabeth alone. She closed her eyes Was Jinn safe? And where was Thrawn? He would walk into a trap!
